Day 83 - 97 Lin Tournament

Liang Yu and LIn Yin had searced the various lakes and found a few more oysters. The chill in the water had increased but not enough that he looked into the matter. It did force her to give up and focus on other matters. A small deal formed between the two unexpectantly.

The Metal Seed had absorbed as much Cold qi that was possible. He just needs to take the time to push the breakthrough. The Flame Vortex Core was close to a breakthrough but he held off on it.

Instead, he used it to nourish the Dantian even further. As well as the rest of his body. But he wanted to test something out. Mimicking the Star Pillar hammer effect some, he used the energy to strike against his dantian.

"Urggh!" Liang Yu felt his dantian fight back. Almost as if it was betrayed at the very notion he would subject it to this. 'Well, shit! Maybe this was a bad idea, but I need to test this theory! Work with me dammit!'

"Kuk!" Liang Yu spat out a mouth full of blood. Body shaking out of control. The lighting ate away the carapace using it to heal the dantian faster. The dantian grew bigger and stronger. His Flame Martial Arts lining up more and more with his Flame Vortex Core. "Have to keep pushing it!"

More and more understanding of the way to use his Flame Vortex Core appearing in his mind. A quick check on Popeye was nothing to worry about. What ever it swiped from the demon beast the other day was still doing something to it.

"It worked!" Liang Yu cheered happily. He just needed more Dragon Martial Arts and Star Martial Arts cultivators to push it even further. 'With time, I can blend them all into one! Even the Star Pillar will be no match for me eventually!'

Cleaning himself up, Liang Yu kept thinking over matters while heading to the Lin clan tournament area.

'If I become strong enough, I can crush that blasted Star Pillar and use it instead of countless Star Martial Artist to create the Star Martial Art Dantian.' 'The Flame Vortex Core supplements other martial artists but still grows stronger through it. My Dantian contains my Flame Martial Arts so it can not change my Flame Vortex Core at all. Since Flame Martial Arts were Liang Yu's originally, it is safe to assume the Flame Vortex Core would really be what came or was created by me. The Flame already mixing with it and changing due to me acquiring this body.'

"Liang Yu!' A voice called to him. But he was to deep in thought to notice. "Is he worried about the competition?" Linlin said. She shook her head immediately after saying that. "That can't be it. What do you think Liang Jian?"

"Might have something going on." Liang Jian, rather they wait till things were less stressful to tell him about what happened. "We can wait till later. Don't worry to much." He rubbed her back gently. Mindful of the wounds she had there. For he had some of his own that needed to be careful with. "I am sure he will know how to handle the matter once we tell him."

"I hope so. The Dark Moon Family has gone to far!" Linlin was still upset. But she did not have the power to resist.

'Hom much I will need to create a Dantian for the Star Martial Artist and the Dragon Martial Arts though? This still evades me.' Liang Yu stood anxious thinking it over. Not paying attention to the tournament proceedings. 'Even the other types I can recreate but they are way to sparse.'

Lin Yin sat in the chair looking miserable. She was after all, not very happy with everything going on. A man stood up announcing everything. It was her father Lin Zhanyun. The man was charismatic as he played to the crowd and what they wanted.

"Today is the date of my daughter's martial contest! I thank everyone in advance for turning up today! I, Lin Zhanyun, hereby represent the whole Lin clan of Blue Carp Town in welcoming you all here!"

People murmured taking in his words. A lot of influential families were around in the place thinking about how they were about to get a big reward after their disciples took the win. As well as the prize of the Lin clan to.

Lin Yin was the most outstanding genius in the Lin Clan currently. Yet here they were pimping her out in the guise of the tournament after her refusal to be married off earlier.

"Why is the Lin Clan in such a rush to get the daughter married off anyway?" A local asked thinking this was odd. "I mean why not wait a little longer for her to develop?"

"Oh, it is because of her pops." Another local said knowing a few details more than others. "Lin Zhanyun tried to marry Lin Yin off to the Thunder family of Divine Ancestor City, but Lin Yin rejected it. Created a big old fuss before the contest was in the works this year."

"I'll explain the rules of the martial contest, everyone has just one chance and falling off the stage means that you lost." Lin Zhanyun waved a hand around the crowd getting the attention of the unruly and bored. "The one who stands undefeated at the end will then qualify to challenge my daughter Lin Yin."

Lin Yin kept a passive look on her face. The matters may determine her future but she still had her own plans about what to do. She thought about what Liang Yu told her at the lake and hoped it worked out well.

'Risking it all on a bet. Must have lost my mind.' Lin Yin gripped her hands tight enough to break skin.

"I hereby announce that the contest.." Lin Zhanyun gestured towards a member of the clan next to a gong. "..has begun!"

*Bong!* The gong was struck hard and echoed loud. Liang Yu was done with his thoughts and moved over to Liang Jian and Linlin.

"Alright, what is the problem?" Liang Yu asked quickly. The expression clued him that something was wrong but so did their cultivation when he got close. They were damaged by a weird qi. "What the hell happened!?" He was upset and let it show immediately.

*Woosh!* A powerful qi left his body. Powerful waves pushing a few away from them. Liang Yu grabbed the arms of Linlin and Liang Jian. Channeling his qi into the two to heal their cultivation base. The physical wounds already having hurt them some but could be fixed later.

"Settled down cousin!" Liang Jian was happy but didn't expect this. Liang Yu was fond of the two and trusted them both. Not to mention the Connection in his Status screen was acting oddly. They didn't think this was going to happen. "I will explain! Just remember where we are!"

As Liang Jian circulated his qi in the two, his anger continued to rise. What damaged their cultivation also ate at their life force. To think the Dark Moon family would do that to them and thought they could get away with it.

"Never thought I would want to wipe out a family before!" His teeth gnashed as his eyes burned in anger. 'The changes from me being here are starting to show. Makes the next few decisions I have to make easier!'

Liang Yu's lighting ate away the corrosion inside them. His lighting more dangerous than it by a longshot. It wrapped around the corrosive qi and circulate back to him. Tucking it away in his Internal Space for later, Liang Yu listened intently while treating them both.

Lin Zhanyun sent a Lin member over to the trio. Instructed to tell Liang Yu to behave himself.

'That show of force was very impressive.' Lin Zhanyun thought to himself. He looked over at some of the other family heads that stared at Liang Yu with interest. Some had been at the academy when he won before. 'The Dark Moon family has quite a member, I wonder how strong he will become in the future?'

"We were hassled as they tried to find out how we grew so strong." Liang Jian said. Linlin kept quiet and focused on the fighting and her surroundings. "A few of the "Flame Glass" you gave us was taken. But they paid for that pretty quickly." An evil look flashed in his eyes. "The fire destroyed Elder Ro's cultivation completely. As well as creating a big fire. We told them it was dangerous."

"Hmm." Liang Yu just nodded.

"They tried to torture us for the method to handle it but we didn't talk. It was not until the discipline department came and freed us that things worked out." Liang Jian did not forgive the fact his own parents were of no help. Yet earlier that day, they were head over heels with the young couple. And happy they came to honor the ancestors. The high cultivation of their son and wife was something to celebrate. "My own father drugged me to get the method out. And tried it with little success. Both of his arms are useless now."

"So they understand the method of the modified Fire Body?" Liang Yu arched a brow. The nod he received was all he needed. "What is it?" Linlin pointed behind Liang Yu. A Lin clan member stood behind him. "What do you want?"

"For you to settle down," the Lin member said simply. Thinking Liang Yu was just some nobody since he saw only the back of him. "if you can't, please leave."

"Duly noted." Linlin frowned at the member. She gestured for him to go away. "Go guard some door somewhere. We are busy." He turned in a huff and left.

"We will take care of the Dark Moon Family soon.. In fact, the perfect chance is coming up. Be prepared." Liang Yu said. He turned around to enter the ring. "It seems I must do some things I don't want, but no matter. Plans can be changed. Just rest you two."
