The Crown Brothers

The ringing clang of metals echoed after two swords struck each other and red specs of light spreading in the air. The force of his brother's sword pushed Bairon back and he skidded with his feet to stop himself from falling.

"You're getting rusty little brother," Lance laughed, staring at the struggling look on his brother's face.

"How can I be rusty yet I've never defeated you?" Bairon forced a laugh, then launched himself at his brother swinging his silver sword with rage.

Lance leaned back, dodging his brother's blade by a hair's breadth. And recovered quickly enough to vertically swing his training sword at him. But Bairon used his lightning magic to speed out of the way and appeared behind his brother—it's like he had teleported.

He willed mana in his left hand and created a lightning arrow, aiming to strike his brother from the back. They were lightning users, so this magic barely had a strong effect.
