Chapter Fourteen_Like A Gentleman

The elevator dinged and Detective Kesley stepped out into the lobby, passed the security desk, and walked out through the big, brown doors.

Climbing quickly down the few steps in front of the building, he started in surprise as he saw the lady he watched, during one rainy day.

He was surprised because he didn't expect to meet her so soon. And in person at that.

He watched her try to start her car, that was parked at the sidewalk.

Not successful, she banged the steering, then got out of the unresponsive automobile, and threw the door shut.

Huffing, she adjusted the scarf on her neck, then started to walk away.

Detective Kesley jumped down the remaining stairs, then called out to her in a loud voice;

"Hello, excuse me?" He shouted, running to her.

She stopped and turned to face her caller, but didn't move an inch.
