Uncle Vic

His phone slipped from his hands the seconds he got the message . Jake ran upstairs to get his car key . He couldn't find it where he 'd always keep it . He looked around his room in frustration and dash down.

Gun kept watching him. When Jake threw the table upside down he thought he 'd had enough. "Man what's the matter?" But Jake care less about him to even hear him . Since he couldn't get his attention he decided to confront him. Jake turned to look at him.

" Where is my car keys?" Jake asked as he tried to catch his own breath.

"Your woman took it ." Gun said with out looking at Jake . He had tried to stop Ruth but she was too stubborn. Seeing the look on Jake he decided to move back enough to dodge the TV remote he threw at him.

" Asshole ! Where were you when she took it and what the hell happened to hers' ? "

" Nothing boss." Gun replied with face down but still alert to dodge another object Jake threw at him . He was ready to run seeing how he was mad already.

" You all are careless ! ". Jake yelled " Can't even protect anything " He went upstairs again to get Ruth's car keys . Gun kept following him unsure of what to do until Jake's got into the car and drove off.

" What's wrong with boss ?" One of the guards asked but he marely gave him an answer. Gun took a car and followed Jake . He sped till he could meet up with him.

Jake had hit someone and was about going to check the person when he saw Gun . Gun quickly checked the body ." She's alive boss." It was still early in the morning making him wander what a girl would be doing outside in the cold so early. When he looked at the face of the girl he looked up but Jake was already gone . Jake continues his journey leaving Gun to take care of the girl.

When Jake finally arrived at his destination Jack's men were already there. He rushed to the VIP ward where his uncle Vic was lying weak with his face up and breathing through the aid of the oxygen machine. The surgery had already been done and he could see Jack looking helpless. "How did it go ? " He asked his brother as he watched his favourite uncle with sadness in his eyes . It was the first time something bad had really happened to his uncle but it shook him like it wasn't the first.

" Doc said he's going to be fine ." Jack answered as he saw Jake . He felt a sense of relief seeing him .

"Who the hell did this ? Jake yelled at his brother unable to control the anger inside of him. He walked to Jack who won't answer him as he was too busy dragging the last smoke in his cigarettes.

" We don't know yet ." Luca replied . He wasn't ready to watch the two brothers fight in the hospital especially not when Uncle Vic was battling to stay alive.

"Where were you and where the hell was the others too when he was been attacked? What were you doing ? " Jack rush to Luca's aid as Jake pounced on Luca.

"Stop man . Hey it's not his fault for f*cking sake ." Jack was able to take his brother off his friend . Luca quickly went out to wash his face that already has blood. Good thing it was in a hospital, he quickly got a nurse to help him out.

It was dawn already yet Vic lay like a corpse on the bed . There wasn't any sign of improvement yet . Jake watched as the man lay with eyes shot from the world not even caring of his favourite boy was beside him. " Does pop know yet?".

"No." Jack answered and walked away . He didn't want to face Jake any longer. On his way out he saw the doctor. "How long before he wakes doc?" Every one outside turned to face the Jay. He was one of the family doctor and one of the best surgeon in the hospital . He was in his early forties yet he still looks like a high school boy . How he managed to look younger baffles other people. He gave Jack a look that seems to answer his questions.

Jack angrily took a seat outside the ward. He took his cigarettes about to smoke but threw it at once. He couldn't call his dad not to talk about even facing him. He 'd be mad once he gets the news. He wandered why Vic couldn't just stay home and visit only when he was asked to. He wanted to surprise Jake on his birthday and had traveled all the way to see him. It was crazy how Jake and Vic bond's so well . Most people would think he was Jake's father as they even share the same name. He had always wish he was the one on the good side of their Uncle not Jake but good for him ,he was in the hospital marely alive because he chooses to love Jake more and him less.

Luca had brought food for Jack but he won't eat . He complained of not having appetite . Jack already called Matteo who promised to let his father know about Vic's condition. It was late noon already and the old Man won't wake up . Luca and Gun made sure to move all the patient's from the hospital to another hospital. It was an attempt to increase the safety of their Uncle and themselves so no one disguise him or self to attack them. Jake had dozed off already . He kept on having nightmares that makes him wake up almost every time he managed to sleep . The last dream made him jumped up making Jack and some of the nurses run to his aid only to find out it was a dream. It was enough to make Jack more upset again as he angrily banged the hospital door and left.
