Late After The Meating

Adams: "Good afternoon gracious lady. I'm so sorry for coming late, I was attending to Mariyam that was I kept you. My apology."

CEO: "It's okay, no problems. Can you hand over the documents to me and withdraw till when I'm through with it? But before then what do you think should be the amount to tag on the contract bidding?"

Adams: "From my professional point of view, I tend to understand that is a continuous renewal clause contract. So I would prefer we should be part of the business as an agency for the company or partner with them through the contract after their first payment. We can henceforth be taking percentages from every profit made by the company for the contract renewal, and we won't be part of the company nor liable to any of their loss. It would be a form of an unincorporated joint venture and indemnity contract like."

CEO: "I love your ideas and I will love you to fix a price for everything and get the deal done. I will entrust you with some of this company affairs to test your tenacity, but one at time. Thank you for your endeavors, take care."

Adams politely: "Thank you madam." And he further make a request "please ma, in your graciousness I would love to take a leave tomorrow to prepare the deal documents with my advanced tool before we meet with the client again."

The CEO returned to him calmly "you can enjoy your leave till when you are done preparing it."

Adams: "Thank you a thousand times, I shall make a great paperwork on this." He took a short bow and pleasantly turn around to stepping out towards the exit door.

The CEO stood up from her chief chair and supervening on him and as they were out of the office, she turned round to closed the door behind and gauge at the garbage can at the front office throwing out some dirt... "Ouch!" She sigh and stepped forth to the secretary office and met Mariyam on the computer system typing "Hello dear, please don't leave the office until everyone is out, I will be heading home from the market and till we see again tomorrow."

Mariyam pursed her lips glancing at the CEO as she speaks, she stood up and nodded her head "Okay ma." As she replied calmly. The CEO turned round and put the exit door wide open as she stepped out towards the balcony to pass a message to the cleaner before taking her leave..

And on her passage she met Adams along the way and say to him "Please I will be going out to the market, help in telling the cleaner to enter my office and clean everywhere, wash my dishes in there and take out the dirt at front door, I will be going to the market and from the market to my House. I'm done here for today. We will see tomorrow."

Adams: "Okay ma, enjoy the rest of your day."

CEO: "Thank you, and you too." She exited to the elevator and dropped in then drift-off.

Adams left to Mariyam's office to print a document and saw the cleaner coming out of the director's office and he delivered to the cleaner the CEO's massage through the door and the cleaner responded "Okay sir, thank you." Adams continued with Mariyam "please can you help me to print this?My printing machine had issues."

Mariyam: "Okay sir, but please have a sit down and wait for me to finish this in some minutes. I'm trying to put this up; please in a jiffy."

Adams: "Okay, please make it snapy I'm trying to catch up with a friend of mine to help in arranging every legal documents for the contract and from there go home."

Mariyam throw the shutter up wide open for the sunlight and stand with her back to the printer closed to where Adams was seated and her pen drops down while on the window, she bend down to pick it up facing Adams with her wide butt. Turning to the printer and caught Adams offguard with all gaze at her, and hestly flinched his head to his phone. She petulantly smiled at Adams actions and laid the documents to the printer and started the printing.

Adams was still on his phone and Mariyam politely asked "Sir, how many copies each?"

Adams anxiously: "Two apiece."

Mariyam affably said to Adams: "But why are you so quiet?"

Adams replied patiently: "I was only trying to figure out how to get home and take care of some things."

Mariyam: "Do you mind sharing what is that?"

Adams: "Is nothing serious to share with you."

Mariyam affably: "I guess you are missing your wife."

Adams grinningly: "Don't guess that, just concentrate on your job right now."

Mariyam: "My job is to make sure you are safe and okay, and for the printing I'm almost done. I guess you can not wait to get home to her."

Adams: "What do you mean?

Mariyam affably "You know better. So take it easy on her as you get home."

Adams laughed "Don't say that, cos I don't know what you are talking about."

Mariyam: "Do you want me to light it up better?"

Adams: "What's that?"

Mariyam: "It's a grown forks thing."

Adams: "Let me get going."

Mariyam laughed and poorly staring at his pretending face, conceiving a rich opinion towards him, proportionately feeling more ease about him not being losed type of men who takes an advancement during some jokes.

Adams received a call from Mina as he took over the files from Mariyam, he excused himself from the office to speak with his wife in private. Mariyam makes a jealous grimace at him as he stepped out of the office to receive a call and disparagingly shut the door to her office.

Adams: "Hello dear, how doing?"

Mina: "I'm doing great dear, how about you?"

Adams: "I'm doing great and I will be home soon. What should I get you?"

Mina: "Whatever you feel like, but make sure you come with bread."

Adams: "I thought the bread was remaining before leaving to work."

Mina: "I'd finished it, you know how I loved to eat bread."

Adams: "Okay then, I will be with you soon."

Mina: "Okay then, I can't wait to see."

Adams: "Same here dear. I love you, bye."

Mina: "I Love you too..."

The call ended and Adams went back to Mariyam's office and met the door locked, he knocked at the door but no response so he left to the elevator, on the entry Mariyam opened the door to her office and yelled at him with "Sir! I'm here! I was  changing my wears when you knocked!"

Adams: "Oh, okay. I just want to thank you for the job done and also to let you know about take my exit for the day."

Mariyam: "Okay, that's noble but you are leaving me here all by myself and you know I'm not going to be safe here without your company. This particular rush of yours has an aim on it and hoping soon you won't mind enjoying waiting in the office without the rush home before time."

Adams laughed: "Have I not being generous? Have I not the company served yet? If not, then the pursuit will go on all my life to fit-in to starting all over again. I must take chances to get home by continuing the contract documents on the interval beforehand.

Mariyam putting on her genteel society manners: "I was joking with you. Have a great day and peaceful night rest."

Adams: "Thank you. Same to you dear... Till tomorrow."

He pleasantly walks with a swaggering elegance to the elevator and drift off. Unfortunately he forgot his food bag in the office as he got into the car. He returned to peak the bag and on the way to the elevator he met Mariyam with the bag coming out with the bag to give him... "You left it in my office as you came to print the other time."

Adams: "Oh. Thanks to you." And he collected the bag from her and returned to the car and drove off.

Mariyam wave at him with farewell gesture, then returned to the office with one of the security man who she wanted to give her leftover food.
