Hold Me

"What are you doing in here?!" Noel shouted in anger when she saw Cara sleeping soundly on James' back.

It would be one thing if she was sleeping in Noel's house but to sleep in the same bed as someone she was coming to see as her lover was simply unforgivable!

"Hmmm~ Noo~ James not there~ Ahhh never mind, right there!~" Cara said turning and tossing in her sleep not aware of the fuming being right beside her.

Noel had finally had enough after hearing Cara's words and quickly snuck past James going around the bed before she pulled her fist back covering it in Qi to kill Cara.

'It's about time I take you out, you wench!' Noel thought in anger.

After charging her Qi Noel quickly threw her fist forward with the intent of killing Cara, "Noel stop." A voice suddenly said making Noel stop in her tracks.

"J-james when were you awake?" Noel asked nervously as she glanced over at the still laying down James who was looking at her from the side.

"I've been awake since your warmth left me. Although, I didn't really expect you to try something like this." James said with some shock in his voice.

He had been thinking recently about how he would be able to fulfill all of the desires of the two new women in his life.

It was clear to him that they were both quite possessive and desired his attention very much so it was kind of hard.

Getting rid of or stopping talking to one of them was completely out of the picture. Just as they had slowly been falling for him he also felt the same way.

Whether his theory was right that the black Qi was affecting his feelings or not he didn't really care. The only thing James thought was important was the fact that they had taken a part of the missing pieces of his heart.

Part of the void that had been plaguing him since his parents died had been filled by these two meaning they were both precious people to him.

As such there was no way he was going to let anyone take one of those people away including Noel, "If you kill her right now then nothing good will happen." James said calmly as he lay there with Cara still asleep on his back.

Noel then gritted her teeth in anger, "What do you mean nothing good? If I kill her right now then doesn't that mean I will get you all to myself forever?" Noel questioned as she began gathering her Qi once more.

"Not at all. If you kill her then I will die as well." James said suddenly making Noel stop immediately and look in James' direction with shock.

"What do you mean by that?!" Noel nearly shouted. It was the first time James has ever said something so serious.

Just the mere thought of him dying made Noel feel nauseous for some reason. It was as if once he died then her life would have no meaning as well.

'I wonder if this is the effect of the Qi?' Noel wondered to herself.

"What I mean is, just like you who has become a shining star in my life she has as well. I've never told you this before but the reason I was even brought here was due to the fact my village was massacred by someone. All of my family is dead. That left such a huge hole in my mind and heart that I thought I was going to go insane until I met the two of you who have filled it. Now, do you see what I mean?" James said seriously while staring at Noel.

When Noel heard this multiple memories began flashing in her mind that she didn't want to remember. They were memories that she vowed to never even think about but when faced with a situation like this she couldn't help it.

"Elder why do they get to play but not me?" A little girl asked an old man.

"Well, you're special you see. They have pre-determined futures that they are bound by due to their bodies. However, you my dear have unlimited potential that we need to help from this age and onward." The old man said to her with a smile.

The girl was not pleased by the answer and could only sit there with silent jealousy of those that got to play and make friends with others.

'One day I will have someone to play with just like them!' The little girl vowed.

"You..FUCK THIS IS BULLSHIT!" Noel said in anger as a powerful Qi covered her body. It was so powerful that James thought it might even rival First Elders.

However, soon after the Qi dissipated and Noel walked back over to the bed laying down right in front of James.

"Hold me." Noel said suddenly as she lay in front of James.

"W-what?" James said in confusion still shocked by the power he had just watched Noel exude.

Noel then grabbed James by the head forcing his face into her cleavage before grabbing his arms forcefully and wrapping them around her, "Just... hold me for now." Noel said quietly before they sat in silence in each other's arms until Cara awoke.

During this time Noel silently looked into her Dantian before completely removing the barrier that had been holding it back.

When she did this the black Qi began flowing through her body at an astonishing rate passing the amount that even Cara had before stopping at 90% of her Dantian.

At the same time, James who had been thinking over his own words lay there holding Noel.

'What is it exactly that I want? Why am I treating people who just met me recently like this? What is this black Qi trying to tell me? What is my purpose?' James began thinking to himself as questions raged through his mind.

Unknown to any of them they had been acting much stranger than they usually would. Before James had met up with Cara in front of the house he and Noel had just started holding hands. To move to words and thoughts so extreme so suddenly was not in the realm of general development.
