Five years later
"Are you nervous?"
DaoShi hugs me from behind, kisses my neck. I close my eyes and lean back into him.
"A little."
"It's gonna be all right, better than all right. Your book's gonna be a best-seller, you wait and see."
No one believes in me more than he, and it's reassuring, it's heart-warming to have this. I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for DaoShi's faith in me. I love him so much. A lot has changed, in these five years. I'm not the kid I used to be when we first met, that emotional wreck, that mess of a boy, who didn't know who he was nor what his place in the world should be. One thing I knew, back then, was that I loved this man and wanted only to be with him. We've been together all these years, and I wouldn't trade them for anything.
