Meeting Hephaestus

Kai nodded at the guard and walked past him.

Entering the workshop, Kai can't help but smile, the room was filled with different weapons and armors. They were beautifully arranged with individual shelves for every weapon. While there were humanoid toys on the sides wearing luxurious and tempting armors.

Man, this is huge, Kai thought, he didn't expected the inside to be so huge and marvelous.

After gazing at the items for a while, Kai finally calmed himself, as he shifted his gaze at the wooden door at the end of the room,

That must be Hephaestus sama's office, Kai thought as he walked towards the door in front of him and knocked twice at the door.

Meanwhile, inside the room, a lady with red hair was drawing some designs while sitting on her work desk. She had a crimson red eye and red hair reaching her neck. She has a rather sharp face and slender body with an eyepatch over her right eye.

That was Hephaestus, she was wearing a white shirt with a high collar and black trousers with brown over knee boots.

"He is sure an early riser", Hephaestus murmured as she looked at the clock, which was displaying 5:30 am.

Hephaestus knew Kai, to be more accurate, she was interested in the Flames that Kai has displayed. And this was also the reason that she agreed to forge weapons for him.

Hephaestus comfortably leaned over the chair and said with a loud and clear voice," Come in".

Meanwhile entering the room, Kai was greeted by the goddess who was comfortably leaning on her chair

"Good morning, Hephaestus sama", Kai greeted as he bowed to Hephaestus.

Hephaestus nodded in response as she gazed at the small figure, and reveals a sweet smile. Kai seems like a cute boy, rather than terrifying existence from the Rumours.

The boy that possesses the mysterious blue flames, Hephaestus smiled at him,

Kai Smiled at the goddess, who he had never met before, but looks like she know him. He was slowly adjusting to his new situations, where almost every people in Orario knew him.

"Have a seat", Hephaestus politely said, as she indicated at the chair in front of the desk.

Seat ha? kai looked at the chair and then shifted his gaze at the goddess,

He sat down on the chair opposite of Hephaestus, Kai grazed around, the room was pretty normal, It has wooden furnished walls and floor, there were two huge bookshelves full of books, most probably book's on weaponry. It also has a relaxing sofa, a work desk, measuring and crafting tools hanging on the wall which were probably just for display.

He is just a normal kid, Hephaestus smiled at Kai who was Curiously checking his surroundings. Hephaestus was worried earlier since according to the Rumours Kai seem like a tough nut to crack, but now looking at the curious figure she was at ease, that still have a chance to know about the blue Flames.

"Do you like the room", Hephaestus smiled at Kai, She had decided to talk sweet and politely as he is a small kid with great backing and currently the most mysterious figure in Orario.

" It's peaceful, I love it", Kai replied truthfully, according to him this is the best environment to train himself.

"I am glad that little Kai liked it", Hephaestus said as she pushed the bowl full of cookies towards Kai. It was her snacks.

Huh, Kai was not sure but Hephaestus sure seems too sweet, for their first meeting. But that doesn't matter to him, He took a cookie from the Bowl and had a bite of it.

It's good, Kai took another bite as he gazed at Hephaestus, she was smiling, Ohh I almost forgot why I was here.

"Hepaaa-uss s-- ma, Iee wa- he-e forr a We-pan.. Cough... Cough", said Kai, while munching the cookies.

"Hehehe... You sure are funny", Hephaestus giggled at Kai's action of talking while munching the cookies, She passed the glass of water to him and continued," Eat slowly, we can talk after you are finished eating".

He quickly took the glass of water and drank a mouthful of it while slowly stroking his chest to stabilize his coughing.

Man, that was Embarrassing, Kai looked at the giggling Goddess then shifted his gaze at the cookies in the blow and shooked his head clearing all the useless thoughts as he picked another cookie from the bowl.

"Thanks, Hephaestus sama", Kai thanked Hephaestus for the glass of water.

" It's Okay", replied Hephaestus as she smiled at him,

" Anyway Hephaestus sama, I was here so that Hephaestus sama can forge a weapon for me", Said Kai as he took a cookie and grazed at Hephaestus.

Hephaestus didn't reply, as she nodded, she can't help but laugh inwardly seeing Kai's actions.

Hmm, the cookies are really good, should I ask where they buy them from, Kai looked at the 5 cookies which were left in the bowl.

"What do you want me to forge?", she asked curiously, as it's the first time a level 1 Adventurer came to her, for forging items.

Kai ignited a small blue flame on his right hand and showed it to Hephaestus, and said, "A weapon that doesn't melt due to the high temperature or flames".

That is the ideal weapon for Kai, according to him.

Meanwhile, Hephaestus blankly stared at the small blue Flames.

After a while, a smile appeared on her face. Interesting, Hephaestus thought as he rubbed her chin, and said," Hmmm, I can forge it, but It's going to cost high".

Costly ha? Kai lean backward on the chair and looked at the ceiling. Hmmmmm.... what should I do, Freya sama just told me to forge a weapon she didn't tell me about the cost limit or something.

"Anyway Hephaestus sama how much time will it take to forge that weapon", asked Kai.

" Maximum 2 days", replied Hephaestus.

"Okay let's do It, I will talk to Freya sama later", said Kai, kai was sure Freya will not refuse, but she might get a little angry. But Kai has confidence that he can handle that much.

Meanwhile, Hephaestus nodded and stood up. she knew Freya will be able to afford it, as she asked her to forge a weapon. But she was just checking by asking Kai.

She approached the bookshelf on her right and asked Kai," So what type of weapon do you use".

"Almost everything", Kai answered honestly, He can use almost every weapon, except some weapons that are difficult to handle for his age.

"Huh", Hephaestus turned her head towards Kai with a questioning look." What do you mean by almost everything".

"Hmmm, Everything means everything, Brother Ottar taught me how to use almost all kinds of weapons", sighed Kai, as he remembered the painful days and experiences.

Everything, Hephaestus stared at Kai, even though she knew he was telling the truth, It was hard to believe.

After staring at his innocent expression for a few seconds, Hephaestus shocked her head and pushed at a book on the shelf, and asked, "I mean what kind of weapons do you want me to make".

Meanwhile, the wall spiled and started revealing a hidden room behind it. Kai was shocked he never imagined there will be a hidden room here. It was Hephaestus's personal forge.

Calming himself, his gaze at Hephaestus and said," I would like a pair of daggers",

Kai wanted to order more weapons that he can use, But he had already decided that he will buy them later with his own money, and the daggers were efficient for using the thunder breathing.

" Hmmm", Hephaestus entered the forge as she continued," Come in I will need to test which metal has the highest resistance".

Kai nodded happily and followed her inside the forge.

It took them an hour to find a suitable metal, And The metal which seems suitable was a unique and extremely expensive one. It is found in the lower floors of the dungeon around the 60th or 70th floor.

"This will do". Hephaestus smiled at the dark red metal piece on her hand.

" But didn't it also melted", asked Kai, they were experimenting with the metals for an hour while using his flames and the red metal piece have High resistance but it did melt at last.

" It's okay", Hephaestus nodded as she put the red metal into the burning stove. and continued," The finished product won't melt".

Kai didn't question anymore, as he don't know much about blacksmithing, and Hephaestus was the best blacksmith in this world. So it's better to leave the matter in her hands.

.... 2 hour's later....

Kai was continuously looking at the goddess hammering and heating the metal piece. It was ionic, he had never thought that Gods and Goddesses also work like this.

But it was also boring at the same time, looking at someone hammering a metal continuously.

Kai sighed as he stood up and stretched his body, while Hephaestus stopped hammering and looked at him stretching, she wanted to laugh but she forced herself not to, as Kai lasted more than she thought.

"What happened Kai", asked Hephaestus with a confused expression.

"Nothing Hephaestus sama, I just remembered that I have to meet Brother Ottar today", Kai smiled at Hephaestus, he was totally bored.

"Yeah, I get it, it's boring", said Hephaestus as she chuckled at Kai, and continued, "Anyway remember to come by the day after tomorrow, to pick your weapon".

" It's not borin..... maybe a little bit. Anyway Thank you Hephaestus sama", Ka bowed and left the room.

Hephaestus smiled at Kai's leaving figure and started hammering the metal again.

Meanwhile exiting the Hephaestus office Kai suddenly remembered.

How did I forget about it? Kai re-entered the office, he can clearly hear the hammering sounds, So without making any noise he quickly Approached Hephaestus's worktable, he took a cookie and he exited the room.

"I will ask her next time, where can I buy them", Kai exited the workshop while munching the cookie.
