Fighting the King

As this was the first time Alex had encountered Ottar, he immediately casted an illusion on Ottar who made an eye contact with him. However, Ottar continued moving forward to him, not showing any sign of being affected.

"Just like I expected it didn't work."

Hearing him mumbled in low voice, Ottar asked.

"Did you do something?"

Ottar could guess that Alex wasn't talking about his shattered weapon or failed attempt. Although Ottar is not particularly sociable despite being the strongest in Orario, he is a very perceptive fighter regarding others in combat, capable to understand their thoughts and their resolution without exchanging a single word, realizing all this through the will that they transmit and show through their weapons when he faces them.

However as there was no records or any sharingan user in the past, he still wasn't aware of the sharingan's ability. Alex didn't replied at Ottar and remained silent.

Just like him who have perfect status immunity which would make an illusion ineffective to him, Ottar has a remarkable resistance that allows him to perform great feats and withstand monumental attacks and challenges, being this one of the key pieces of his ultimate defense.

"As expected of the King."

It was the alias that was given to him due to Ottar being the only Level 7 in Orario. Alex dashed forward, Splitting Edge in hand, turning into a crimson flash and stabbed Ottar in the back for the second time but his sword was repelled instead.

"I can't cut him with my current strength."

Alex mumbles as he used Flying Thunder God again to retreat but inwardly, he was glad that his sword was only repelled and not broken or else he might cry as it was just recently upgraded.

Looking at Alex, Ottar was really impressed about how fast Alex was. He was really moving in an instant with literally no gap or delay at all. His speed greatly outclass those who were higher levels than Alex.

"Despite being a level 1, you're way better than the minotaur."

"Huh?"

Alex absentmindedly asked as he totally had no idea what Ottar was talking about. From what Alex knew, Ottar was so strong so why would he bother with the minotaurs in the middle floors.

"Well don't mind what I said. I would like to ask your name instead."

His most admired trait is his unabating will and resolve to always surpass his limits. He often looks for new challenges to face and shows interest upon hearing of opponents who may present a good duel so he had great interest towards Alex who attempted to fight a level 7 like him despite being a level 1 without showing any fear.

"Alex Uchiha. A new adventurer."

Alex replied with a smile as he continued.

"It's an honor for the King to know my name who is just a nobody."

Saying those words, Alex threw all of his available daggers within his inventory placing the daggers all around the place. His pupils violently contracted as he then switched the dagger in his hand to a reverse grip instantly appearing in front of Ottar and slashed at Ottar's throat.

As soon as the dagger shattered, Alex swiftly retreated wanting how to find a way to break through in this hopeless situation when his weapon was continuously breaking.

"Interesting. So you're appearing where the daggers were located."

Ottar spoke after observing Alex for a while. Hearing that, Alex flinched not expecting Ottar to immediately figured it out. With the knowledge Ottar had accumulated from all his battles, his tactics are shown to be the paragon of adventurers.

He is able to remain composed and dissect any opponent's strategy and techniques perfectly. It was said that not even a genius and talent combined with 10 years of hard work could overcome it due to the sheer unbelievable number of predicaments he overcame.

Alex immediately appeared behind Ottar. Instead of slashing him, Alex stretched out his hand and grab an arm of Ottar.

Unlike the Flying Thunder God that Ottar couldn't react, Alex's action was clearly seen by Ottar but simply ignored as it wasn't posing any threat when Alex simply grabbed him. Swiftly turning into a crimson flash again, Alex retreated out of Ottar's sight.

"Are you already leaving after holding me?"

Ottar casually asked but he was still confused on Alex's action as he didn't remember an opponent before that simply held an arm of his.

"Unfortunately, I'm not intending on fighting you head on."

Ottar turned around as he heard Alex's reply in a distance. As Ottar has figured out how his tactic works, Alex decided that it wouldn't be wise to continue using the marks in the daggers to attack Ottar. Alex who hid his presence out of Ottar's vision, continued speaking.

"I'm not a knight and I don't intend to give you any flower or pleasantry about honor."

As soon as those words left his mouth, Alex instantly appeared at the side of Ottar, the dagger in his other hand was aiming straight for Ottar's throat—Vital Strike!

Just like what happened earlier, the dagger that wasn't the Assassin's Decree immediately broke upon contact. Just as the Vital Strike ended, he took advantage of the opening that was revealed and brandished his sword towards Ottars. The sword in his grasp was enveloped by a raging flame as it cleaved downwards in a blazing radiance.

Flying Raijin Slash!

Crimson flashes occasionally moved around Ottar in a speed that completely transcended even his heightened senses.

The raging heat assaulted Ottar as it drew closer. The might of the flame was immense as it struck him right in the middle of his chest. Ottar was left baffled as the slash of the sword and the flames didn't managed to hurt him at all but despite that, a fountain of blood splurged from his chest.

"Strange. It doesn't hurt even a bit but he still made me bleed."

Ottar muttered as Alex immediately returned to hiding after using Flying Thunder God to swiftly retreat. Hearing Ottar clearly, Alex didn't have the guts to say that it was all just the visual effects of his passive Coup de Grace.

"Young man, seeing that fate has allowed us to meet let me give you a compliment; the Magic Weapon in your hand is extremely terrifying."

"Remember that unlike the others, my intuition tells me that yours was special. That Magic Weapon is a double-edged sword. If you wish to obtain extraordinary strength, your will must be extraordinary as well. Otherwise, strength will, soon or later, devour you whole."

Stealthily hiding, Alex looked at the system messages that was constantly appearing while still listening at Ottar.

With the effect of his Adversity Breaker skill, Alex's growth was greatly increased fighting an opponent that was may more stronger than him.

Knowing that Ottar was simply wanting to test his capabilities and still haven't attacked him, Alex followed up an attack.

"Krausel, burn everything in your sight."

Receiving his master's command, The ground surrounding Ottar collapsed with an explosion and flames shot up from the ground at random. The sea of flame quickly engulfed the entire floor, eradicating what was left after the chain explosion.

Alex quickly covered his face with his arms but was still pushed back by the gust of wind. Because the place was filled with so much heat, nothing could be felt within the area he scanned with his strengthened senses.

"What a strong magic for a level 1."

Ottar muttered in admiration as his surrounding had melted with molten lava flowing in the ground.

*Whistle*

After the heat had settled down, Alex could barely see the other side through the gap between his arms. Seeing that Ottar was completely fine and was unscathed, Alex immediately casted the S ranked spell in his arsenal.

Fire Dragon's Fury!

With the flames that took form of the dragons, the ground had completely collapsed. It was if the world was full of red flames and black smoke.

However despite the damage he had dealt in the surroundings, Ottar was completely fine with no damage at all. Not even the slightest burn could be seen in his body.

Seeing his futile effort, Alex smirked instead of falling into despair as had already expected this.

"The damage is massive but it's still not enough. The dungeon is still recovering but a couple more and it might summon that."

Ottar spoke as he scanned the surrounding looking at the damage that Alex had dealt to the 10th floor. Luckily there were no adventures that had entered the dungeon at this moment or else they might be burned to death as well.

As Alex had no idea what Ottar was saying, he used Flying Thunder God again. Without holding back, his sword slashed towards the back of Ottar and then slashing towards the waist.

After that, Alex fired Phoenix Sage and Grand Fireball one after the other which Ottar easily deflected as he casually swang his arm to change the flames trajectories.

The flying flames landed everywhere, further spreading out the wildfire and causing some explosions further damaging the dungeon.

"Now, excessive damage had been dealt to the dungeon. I'm quite sure the dungeon would summon that thing."

Once again, Alex was left confused as he had no knowledge about what Ottar was saying. Looking at Alex, Ottar made a smile as he continued.

"Alex Uchiha, show me how you will overcome this."
