Chapter Thirteen

"Bell?"

I glanced over to Hestia, stopping the maintenance I was doing on my Kusarigama.

"I will be gone for a few days for the god's gathering, but after that, there is Monsterphilia. Want to go together?"

I frowned, what the hell was Monsterphilia? I put down the kusarigama for a moment, turning to her fully.

"What's a Monsterphilia?"

She blinked, tilting her head at me.

"You don't know?"

She asked and I just shook my head. She bit down on the snack she was eating and chewed for a few seconds before swallowing."

"Monsterphilia is when the Ganesha Familia brings monsters up from the dungeon."

I blinked. Really? The fuck? Was that dumbass wrong in the head? Putting the civilians in danger and risking large amounts of property damage, in one fell swoop, two birds with one stone.

"I see, okay, I don't mind..."

I shrugged.

"And could you update my status?"

She smiled and stood up, dusting off her hands and walking over to me with a smile, I reached for my shirt and took it off, turning around and getting on one knee as she reached for one of my throwing knives.

The room was bathed in a pale glow and I waited patiently. Hearing a sigh, I saw that light dim and a paper being pressed on my back.

"Honestly, Bell, I'm not even surprised anymore..."

She muttered and I was handed a paper over my shoulder. I grabbed it and took a look at it with interest.

I hummed, that seemed about accurate, I haven't been actively killing any monsters since I started diving with Welf, however, by this world's standards, this was absurd, or as more eloquent adventurers would say it "Complete bullshit".

I folded up the paper and put my shirt back on.

"Would you like to go shopping for a new dress, Goddess?"

She smiled at me brilliantly and jumped on me with a sequel of joy. I stood in place, not even moved by the sudden hug, and sighed. She was very excitable...

I just needed to pass the time before I had to go to Welfs workshop, to get the modified pouch with metal on the inside so I could enchant it easier, but maybe offering to accompany her on a shopping spree was not the best idea... Should have just given her the money.

In the end, I managed to pass three hours, just by accompanying her shopping.

"Sorry bro."

Welf said apologetically, leaning on the doorframe with one hand as I secured the pouch on my belt.

"There was a bulk order, anyone with the development ability will need to participate to get it done by the deadline."

I smiled a little shrugging.

"Don't worry Welf, I don't mind, I'll try getting more materials for when you are free."

He smirked and extended a fist which I met with my own and turned around to leave. I heard a door click shut behind me as I made my way back to the dungeon.

The walk didn't take long, since the streets were mostly empty in the middle of the day, since adventurers were in the dungeon and most of the civilians were working.

I entered the dungeon and looked down at the stairs, then thought that since Welf was no longer with me, I would skip the stairs.

I took a step off of the ledge and let gravity take over. As I got closer to the end of the drop, Two of my throwing knives floated out of my belt and positioned themselves on the soles of my feet.

Using élenchos on the knives to hold myself up, I floated down to the ground gently and stepped off the knives, returning them to the belt and walk inside the first floor.

I breathed in, feeling the speed boost granted and circulated Mana around myself, enhancing my body.

"Blaze..."

I muttered, and Purple flames surrounded my body, enhancing myself even further. I crouched down and blurred forward.

The entire run took half an hour as I sped into floor seventeen, and down to floor eighteen. Which was, by all means, a resting point, since there was actually a small town made here.

I will check on it later...

I sped into the floor nineteen, the walls, ground, and ceiling are made out of wood making it seem like the inside of a giant tree, And the first thing I did was punch a Bugbear into a Battleboar.

My kusarigama left their sheaths, clutched in my hands and I connected them to the chains, brining them out. The purple flames covered the chains and the Kusarigama as I spun the chains around.

The Battleboar roared, trying to get the Bugbear off of it, only to loose its head and turn into dust as my other kusarigama embedded itself into the Bugbears head, piercing the brain and making it joining the Battleboar as ashes on the ground.

Using élenchos, I floated the two magic stones into my pouch and heard a click as they dropped into it...

I frowned and looked at the pouch and facepalmed with the back of my hand.

I forgot to enchant the fucking bag...
