138 Omake: Anniversary

(Morax: POV)

Releasing a short sigh I drink a sip from my mug before placing it down on the table.

Tuning out the usual nightly chatter of the other adventurers in the Hostess of Fertility.

"Oh my Mr. Morax is something wrong? You don't sound like your usual self." Syr spoke.

Coming up to me, since she is working the counter tonight.

"Do I?" I asked.

Syr nodded. "If you want to have a chat I am up for it." She said. Giving me a smile.

'Well I guess talking to Syr couldn't hurt.' I thought.

Since at least when Freya/Horn are in their Syr appearance they are at least pretty manageable in my opinion.

But as for when the two of them are themselves...

Let's not think about that right now.

"Thanks Syr. I'll take you up on your offer." I said. Taking another sip from my mug. "So here it is. For the past week Ryuu has been avoiding me." I explained.

She doesn't want to sleep in my room, she doesn't want to have sex, sometimes when I come in the room she simply stops talking, and I've caught her glancing at me several times with a weird look on her face, etc.

I've known Ryuu for a decade now, and we've been in a relationship for eight years so I think I am pretty good at reading her.

But for the life of me this time I can't figure out the meaning behind her actions.

And I've been wracking my brain trying to. I've also been trying to remember if I did anything recently to truly upset her.

But I am also drawing a blank on that front as well.

I told all of this to Syr.

"So, what do you think?" I asked her. "Should I be worried?"

Putting a finger on her chin Syr pondered my questions.

Then after a moment she gave me an answer.

"Nope. I don't think you have anything to worry about Mr. Morax. I think that if you just wait a bit longer Ms. Ryuu and you will be back to normal." She said.

"Really?" I asked.

"Yes. Really." Syr said.

"Hey! Get back to work, I don't pay you to stand around!" Mamma Mia suddenly shouted.

That's when Syr went back to work.

As for me I decided to trust in her words on this matter.

Since despite being a semi-yandere goddess in disguise Syr is usually spot on when giving advice.

A few days after my conversation with Syr at the Hostess, I learned like usual her deduction was spot on.

Finding myself standing under the light of a full moon, in a quiet section of the local park next to the Owl House, I stared at a candle lit table with dinner for two.

And standing next to the table is Ryuu.

Looking even more beautiful in usual due to the fact she is wearing a dress.

Which she hardly ever does.

Fidgeting from side-to-side a blush on her face, Ryuu barely looked me in the eyes.

Seeing this I walked up to her and took hold of her face gently in my hands. I then forced her to look at me.

Keeping her long golden locks out of her eyes as I did so.

Since she has grown her hair long once again.

"So, what's this all about?" I asked Ryuu.

"It's a gift. For our ten year anniversary." She explained.

"But we've only been a couple eight years." I retorted.

"Yes, but I'm talking about since we met each other." Ryuu said. "Since that time when I was feeling so low, and you reached your hand out to me. Giving me a home and a place to belong. I know the others did so as well. But you were the first Morax. And I will never forget that. So thank you, from the bottom of my heart." She explained.

Getting a blush all the way up to her ears as she did so.

Her words also made me blush.

Since I never knew Ryuu held such a feeling for me.

This just makes me want to cherish her. Always and forever.

"I love you." I told her.

"Yes. I love you as well." Ryuu replied.

When she did so I slowly leaned down and connected our lips.

While she wrapped her arms around my neck and gently pulled me closer.

The two of us thinking of no one else but each other in that moment under the moonlight.

To this day we both still rate that night as our top anniversary.

A/N: Regular chapters will be back tomorrow. But I just felt I had to get this out.

Especially after that epic Danmachi season finale today.

It was so wholesome and sweet I almost died of diabetes.

It also once again showcased why Ryuu is the top girl in the series.

And why the Bell x Ryuu ship should set sail.

But it won't due to Omori's managers not allowing him to write it in the main story.

Even though Omori himself said he wanted to do so. He even suggested he will write a "What If" Bell and Ryuu story in the future.

Which I hope he does.

Anyway that's all I had to say.

BTW: I can't for season 5 of Danmachi. Since that will be the Freya Arc. Which is the second best arc in my opinion after the Ryuu arc.
