152 Chapter 139: Encouragement

(3rd Person: POV)

Sitting on the floor in her room dressed in pajamas Haruhime has a smile on her face.

Since Chigusa and Mikoto are seated next to her.

Both of them dressed in pajamas as well.

The three teenage girls are well into their sleepover.

The moon high in the night sky speaks to that fact.

For hours the three of them had simply been talking. Catching up on all the time they missed apart these past few years.

All three girls enjoying themselves to the fullest.

But then everything changed.

All due to one simple question.

"Lady Haruhime, I was wondering if there is any man that has caught your eye?" Mikoto asked.

When she did so Haruhime ears started moving rapidly from side-to-side, as did her tail. She also got a small blush on her face.

"No. Not at all." Haruhime spoke, looking anywhere but at Chigusa and Mikoto as she did.

Both girls seeing Haruhime's reaction to the question could instantly tell she was lying.

"I see. So there a man who has caught your attention." Mikoto spoke.

"Who is it?" Chigusa asked.

"No one." Haruhime denied once more. "And also why are you asking me this?"

"We want to know." Mikoto stated.

"Yes." Chigusa added.

"Then what about you two? Do you have boys that you like?" Haruhime asked.

Her counterattack worked immediately, as Mikoto and Chigusa both got blushes on their faces and couldn't respond to their friends question.

"See. It's not so easy to say who you like." Haruhime pointed out.

"Yes. I suppose you are right." Mikoto said.

"Y-yes." Chigusa softly whispered in agreement.

"So, let's end the dicsussion about boys here." Haruhime said.

Glad she dodged that bullet.

Or so she thought.

*Bam!*

Turning their heads in the direction of Haruhime bedroom which was just slammed open Mikoto, Chigusa, and Haruhime saw Echidna standing there.

"Talking about boys are we?" She asked.

"Echidna, what are you doing here?" Haruhime asked.

Since Ryuu and Ariane had beeb tasked with watching her to make sure she didn't do anything too explicit to Mikoto.

Because once Echidna found someone that was her type she would work to eat them without letting much stand in her way.

"Oh, I managed to give Ariane and the ero elf the slip." Echidna replied.

"Ero elf?" Mikoto questuoned.

"She is referring to Ryuu." Haruhime clarified.

"That I am." Echidna added. "But enough about elf who acts prim and proper while being a freak between the sheets, let me tell you two girls something interesting. The one Haruhime likes is our very own capta-Hmph!!"

Before Echidna could finish speaking Haruhime darted across the room and placed her hands over her mouth.

"Don't listen. She doesn't know what she's talking about." Haruhime said to Mikoto and Chigusa.

Looking back at them while she continued holding her hands over Echidna's mouth who is still trying to speak.

"Hmphh!!!" Echidna grumbled into Haruhime hands.

Never noticing the shadows of two elves looming behind her as she did.

What happened next took place in a matter of seconds.

Ryuu and Ariane entered Haruhime room and grabbed Echidna.

They then quickly dragged her out, closing the door behind them.

Until Ryuu opened it back up a second later and peeked her head inside.

"My apologies. She escaped from us. But it won't happen again. Please continue enjoying your sleepover Haruhime. And your friends as well." Ryuu said.

Pulling her head out of the room and closing the door again after she did so.

Mikoto and Chigusa have no words for what they just witnessed.

As for Haruhime she walked over to her bed and laid down in it.

"Well goodnight." She said.

Only for Mikoto and Chigusa to direct their attention towards her.

When this happened the two girls pulled Haruhime out of bed and forced her to look them in their eyes. Grins on their faces.

"So lady Haruhime, you are interested in sir Morax right?" Mikoto asked.

"Kuu~ No!" Haruhime denied.

"Then why are you blushing so hard right now?" Chigusa asked.

Which is true.

Haruhime is red as a tomato right now.

"Just admit. You like sir Morax do you not?" Mikoto asked.

"Don't worry, we won't tell anyone." Chigusa said.

"I...I...yes. I like him." Haruhime admitted.

Ever since Morax saved her from the irregular their familia encountered in the dungeon last year her feelings toward him had slowly started yo change.

Haruhime has even had several risque dreams involving Morax.

She has also been observing him more and more.

To the point she can't deny she has developed a crush on him.

But right now is the first time she's voiced her feelings out loud to anyone.

"I see. So, when shall you start working to make him yours?" Mikoto asked.

"No!" Haruhime cried. "I mean. Morax doesn't even feel that way about me. Besides, he already has women much better by his side than me. Like lady Ryuu." She said.

Haruhime then quickly gave Mikoto and Chigusa the rundown on Morax harem.

The fierce elven warrior whose beauty is equated to that of a fairy, Ryuu Lion.

The fiery red headed werewolf who works for the guild and has a big heart, even though she rarely shows it, Rose Fannett.

The captain of the Ganesha familia and one of the top five female adventurers that everyone wants to date, Shakti Varma.

Haruhime briefly described all three of them to Chigusa and Mikoto.

"So you see the captain wouldn't be interested in someone like me when he has those three." Haruhime said. A bit of sadness in her voice.

"Well you won't know until you try." Chigusa spoke.

"That's right!" Mikoto spoke up with a passion.

She then grabbed Haruhime's hands with her own.

"Lady Haruhime. Confess." Mikoto spoke.

"What?!""Haruhime replied in utter shock. "But I just told you Morax probably wouldn't accept."

"Even so trying is still better than nothing." Mikoto retorted. "To give up before you even put up a fight means you already accept your defeat. In love you cannot do that. So you might fight, and a confession is the way to do so." She spoke with a passion.

Even though Mikoto herself has no intention to confessing her love to the person she likes.

"Go for it." Chigusa added.

Who as well has no intention of confessing her own feelings.

"Am...uh....well..." Haruhime stammered.

Faced with the intense gazes of both Mikoto and Chigusa she was at a loss for words.

A few more seconds passed before she finally spoke.

"Ok." Haruhime whispered. "I will...confess." She said.

Swallowing a lump in her throat after she did do.

"Excellent!" Mikoto spoke.

Chigusa nodded her head in agreement.

Meanwhile Haruhime turned into a ball of nerves and anxiety.

Her mind completely filled with thoughts about her upcoming confession to Morax.

Though the person in question has no idea what is coming his way.
