These Monsters Are Finally Showing Up

Chapter 29 - These Monsters Are Finally Showing Up

Bell was a bit surprised at the sword. A weapon with these traits—it was almost like cheating.

This sword was pretty much every adventurer's dream. If weapons like this existed, wouldn't all other weapons become useless?

He glanced at Hephaestus, curious about how the goddess managed to make such a weapon.

Hephaestus, the mature and composed goddess, quickly caught the doubt in Bell's eyes. She sighed internally. It's a shame Bell follows an airhead like Hestia, she thought. If he joined the Freya Familia or the Loki Familia, he'd have a much brighter future.

"That's why I said," Hephaestus began, crossing her arms, "weapons like these could put craftsmen out of business. As a smith, I don't enjoy making weapons like this."

Her stance only added to her mature and authoritative vibe. But Bell was more interested in the sword than the goddess's aura, keeping his focus on the weapon in his hand.

After all, there were plenty of mature and intellectual goddesses, but only one Hestia Sword in the world. Wasn't this unique blade more fascinating than any goddess?

Even though Bell felt unworthy of such a weapon, he was deeply grateful to Hestia for requesting it. He knew that without her plea, Hephaestus would never have made this sword for him.

This sword basically made all other weapons pointless.

Without a doubt, it was now the strongest weapon in Orario.

When Hephaestus talked about the weapon, Hestia jumped up and dashed to her side, grabbing her arm and shaking it playfully.

"Hee hee~ I know! That's why Hephaestus is the best!" Hestia chimed, her voice full of mischief and gratitude.

Even though it had been a crazy request, Hephaestus had still come through. Hestia wasn't blind to that, and she knew Hephaestus had only charged the bare minimum for the weapon.

The contrast between Hestia's playful nature and Hephaestus's mature stance made the scene feel like something out of a soft, dream-like painting. To an outsider, seeing the two goddesses together might bring to mind images of lilies blooming around them.

Bell saw the scene but quickly looked away, feeling the urge to imagine something he shouldn't. His mind flashed to characters like Rin Tohsaka and Sakura Matou, or Artoria and Morgan—pairings from the games he loved. The scene before him was almost too perfect.

But Bell's attention went back to the Hestia Sword in his hand.

It had so many traits.

No wonder this sword was so durable.

Even when infused with magic and used in attacks, it stayed in perfect condition. Any regular high-tier weapon would've been destroyed by now.

And since it didn't need maintenance, Bell could save a lot of money and effort.

The fact that it was so incredibly durable and offered a high return made it an adventurer's ideal weapon.

But despite all its strengths, the Hestia Sword had one drawback—it was a "Familia-bound weapon."

Without falna, no one could ask Hephaestus to forge something like this.

Now that Bell had the strongest weapon in Orario, he felt both empowered and humbled.

Combined with his magic, this weapon was all he needed for now.

That said, the magic he had chosen still needed some upgrades to reach its full potential.

"I wonder if I can use this magic like they do in the manga..." Bell mused. "No, I'm sure I can."

The reason Bell had picked his lightning-based magic was because of a manga  he'd read. The idea of turning himself into lightning—boosting his speed—fascinated him.

What he needed now was a way to enhance his speed, like that vision where he dashed toward that bastard Dragon.

If he could do it in a dream, he should be able to do it in real life. His new magic wasn't just an ability; it was a manifestation of his wishes, guided by the magic book.

'I'll ask Hestia about it later.'

Bell was optimistic about this magic. Even if it only gave him a speed boost and didn't enhance other aspects, that alone would be enough. With the Hestia Sword and proper use of the magic, he could even challenge high-level adventurers.

He wasn't sure if he could sneak attack adventurers two or three levels higher than him, but he could always hope. As he got stronger, he'd be able to take on tougher opponents.

"Bell!" Hestia suddenly jumped onto his back, her usual bright smile lighting up her face.

Her cheerful nature always helped Bell relax, and as she clung to him, he felt his emotions settle down.

Hestia was special to him. Her smile had a calming effect on his mind, though her presence often stirred up conflicting feelings within him.

"The update is complete!" Hestia exclaimed, her voice bubbling with excitement. "And Bell, you've also awakened another magic!"

Somewhere on the lower floors...

"Phew~"

Finn exhaled softly, turning to check the casualties they had suffered during the fight.

"Captain, what happened? Why are there so many strange monsters? We barely escaped with our lives!"

Tione, the usually calm Amazoness, voiced her frustration.

Everyone in the Loki Familia felt the same—whether it was Bete, Tiona, or Riveria, none of them had seen these types of monsters before.

Meanwhile, a blonde girl, stood expressionless, observing the situation.

Though her face remained as stoic as ever, there was something deeper in her eyes.

'These monsters are finally showing up. It seems, Husband, you're in Orario now.'

Ais Wallenstein, who shouldn't have known Bell, was thinking of him, as if she already knew him.

A hint of tenderness and sadness appeared on her face, but mostly, it was worry for Bell.

'This time, I won't let those bastards hurt you!'

Placing her hand on her chest, Ais calmed her agitated heart. She'd not allow that tragedy to repeat, even if it cost her life.

Lefiya, walking closely beside Ais, was stunned by the display of such strong emotions from her.

She couldn't hide her surprise, which did not go unnoticed by her master.

Riveria raised an eyebrow in response.

"Interesting," the royal elf murmured.

Interesting, isn't?

Now, answer my question....

How the hell Ais knew about Bell? And lastly, is she from future, and where's the current Ais?
