magic!

back at the church, i sat on the couch and i looked at the book, i opened it while Hestia was sleeping and i started reading.

"there are 2 types of magic, the first is what certain races are born with, the second one called Farna that is granted by a deity's blessing, the latter is a form of self expression, what do you desire, what do you hate, what do you truly long for, the trigger is withing you" i continued reading the book until the part where i got, transported into my mind.

a clone of me appeared in front of me, "let's start" it said as i looked at him.

"what is magic to me?" the clone said, and i thought about it, and the only thing i could come up in my mind is, "POWER, that will protect me, grow with me, and will never let me down".

"what sort of thing is magic to me?" the clone said.

"the sun, it's always, never afraid, strong and proud, and it can incinerate all it's enemies!" i said.

"what do i seek from magic?" the clone asked himself.

"power, power to protect what i love, power to become strong in the toughest of times, and power so i can be myself and never have to hide myself because of somebody else!"

"is that all?" the clone asked me.

"no, if possible, i would like to be free, the most free man in the world" i said as i remembered how a coin decided my life.

"such naivety" the clone of me said with mockery.

"sorry, but it's my opinion, not yours, because that's me!" i said as the clones turned into light, they flew into my body, and i woke up in the bed with Hestia.

"huh?, didn't i sleep on the couch" i asked myself as i sat up.

"whatever, let's go check my magic out" i said as i stood up and went to the dungeon.

i entered the 4th floor and i looked at a goblin, i channeled magic into my body and i felt the flames come alive with a spark from my soul.

fire appeared on my body like a gentle protective cover, i focused and on my finger a small sun like ball appeared.

"this kind of looks like sunshine, but way weaker, well weak because i myself am way weaker then Escanor" i said as i looked at the fist sized sun on my finger.

"Cruel Sun!" i throw the sun at the goblin, and once it made contact with the goblin, the goblin melted in a second leaving behind nothing, even the magic stone melted.

"well looks like i will not be using this magic on every monster, except the stronger ones" i said as i looked at the body of another kobold.

i used sunshine and condensed sunshine onto my fist, i punched the kobold and my fest went through his body like butter.

"in the day my power might grow like Escanor's, which means that my magical and physical powers will grow" i said with excitement as i thought about how powerful i will be at day time.

with this finished i headed up and i got back in the church to see that Hestia is still sleeping, i got on the bed and hugged her as i fell asleep.

suddenly i got up and i remembered how i was supposed to meet up with lily at the fountain to go to the dungeon.

"well i hope she is still there!" i said as i stood up and with a dash i ran towards the fountain nec=xt to the guild.

[ with lily ]

"tch!, i should just go, he is not gonna come is he" Lily said with a tired tone, she waited here for hours but bell did not come.

"sorry!" suddenly she heard a voice, she looked and saw bell jugging towards her.

"i am sorry, something came up and i could not come here, but we can go tomorrow!" i said as i looked at lily.

"okay mister" lily replied with a smile on her face while nodding.

"thanks, and here's for the trouble" i said as i took out 10000 valis and gave it to her, for the first time lily showed her true emotions as she looked at me in shock.

"why would you give it to me?" she asked me, but i just smiled and started walking away back to the church.

"naive boy" lily said under her breath as she looked at my back.
