Chapter 2 - Orario, The Labyrinth City

~Nero POV~

It's been a week or two since I woke up in this new world, and I've spent my time getting familiar with my new body and memories.

I've gotten used to the enhanced senses and superior physicality, I've also spent time practicing the swordsmanship I've learnt from my memories.

I've even put my natural instincts as a Witcher to hunt down the local animals around the lake I've been staying at. I even made a small little hut made of tree branch's and animal skins.

But now that I've gotten used to my new body and senses I've decide to go to the big city and become an adventurer to put my new skills to the test and plus I wanna kill some monsters.

~Time Skip~

I've been travelling for a couple days now, thankfully due to my memories I somehow instinctively know the way to Orario city.

While heading to Orario, I would hunt or at least track any animal I could find. Granted I would only kill the ones I'd use fully as there's no need to just kill animals for no reason.

"Oh what's this?" I question under my breath as I see a set of unfamiliar tracks.

"Wait a minute... these are..." A devilish smile graces my face as I recognise the tracks. "Goblins"

I immediately begin to track the goblins at full pelt, not even caring for subtly as I'm hunting goblins which aren't the most intelligent of monsters.

I soon caught up with the group? Or is it a hoard of goblins? I'm not sure anyways. Finally catching up with the goblins, I immediately pull out my sword and bolt towards the closest goblin.

Being naturally light on my feet the goblins didn't hear my footsteps until it was too late and my sword was slashing through their necks.

I'd already decimated two of the 7 goblins. With my Witcher strength I booted the next closest goblin away, then caught the arm of the goblin that lunged at me. Smashing the goblin into the ground I stomp on its head, smirking as head its head crush's under my foot.

With the other three goblins closing in, I snap out a punch to the face of the closest goblins causing it to stumble, then roundhouse kicking the other.

Before I bring down my sword on the last goblin. I stab the goblin I punched earlier in the face and repeat the process with the goblin I roundhouse kicked just a second ago.

"Haaa" I release a deep satisfied breath. Only to hear the scream of another goblin from behind me.

Turning swift and just in time, I catch the lung goblin while dropping my sword. With my superior strength I toss the goblin away from me.

Standing up the goblin sneers at me. "Fists? Alright" I say approaching the goblin without my sword.

I dodge the swipes of clawed goblin hand, and land heavy punch to the goblins face. Which gets immediately followed by a right hook and an elbow. Which effectively stuns the goblin as it falls over.

Seeing the goblin on the fall I pounce immediately, I straddle the goblin and hammer blow after blow into its face.

Soon I'm left with nothing more then a green bloodied mush that used to be a goblin. "Now that was riveting" I chuckle getting off the goblin.

Grabbing my dagger I cut out the magic stones form the goblins and put them in my bag. "Let's get a move on" I say to myself.

~Scene Change~

"So this is the Labyrinth City" I mutter to myself,

Orario city is a fairly large city for a medieval like period, its most noticeable feature is the giant tower overlooking the city, Babel Tower its called, it stands within the centre of Orario.

"Hmm let's go this" heading towards the city I quietly join the line to enter the city.

Giving the guards my ID and entrance pass, I'm then allowed into Orario. Grabbing a map from a nearby stall I begin my exploration of Labyrinth City.

I explore that city barely keeping the awe and wonder off my face. I couldn't even stop my eyes from following all the different races I was seeing going about their day.

Part of me felt this was normal seeing Demi-Humans or dwarfs just wondering about the city, the other part was baffled seeing so many different people.

"*Sniff* *Sniff* what's that smell?" I whisper under my breath. Following my nose I come to a small stall selling beef jerky like food. "I'll take 3 of whatever your selling"

"Of course dear customer" the stall owner says bagging 3 beef jerky looking things that smell delicious. "That'll be 375 valis please"

I pay the man 400 valis and tell him to keep the change. I immediately pull out my beef jerky things and begin munching on them. 'God these are delightful' I internally moan in delight.

While enjoying my food I accidentally dump into someone causing me to surprisingly stumble back slightly.

"Woah, sorry about that" I say looking at the man I bumped into.

The man is a tall, like really tall middle aged bearded man with golden eyes that seem to glow slightly and only a single hand. He also gives off an aura of something I don't quite recognise.

"No worry's young man, it's quite fine" The tall man says gently. "Are you okay? That was quite the stumble"

"Yeah, yeah I'm fine" I reply back baffled slightly a the tall mans gentleness. "I'm Nero"

"Nice to meet you Nero, everyone around here calls me Ty" The tall man, now named Ty, replies. "Well Nero, I'll let you go you seemed to be in quite the rush"

"It was nice meeting you Ty" I say waving him goodbye, watching Ty walk away I can't help but miss the aura he gives off.

'Well time to find a place to stay'
