Cate immediately swerved to look at him, but he directly met Selwynn's cold and oppressive eyes and knew he would allow for no persuasion. 

His trust in Selwynn formed after many years made him not question his decision, and he carefully walked across the elevator and climbed up to the top. 

The elevator immediately shook, and he froze, sweat streaming down his back and soaking his bloodstained shirt. 

After waiting for what seemed like an infinity, he felt the movements calm. He carefully stuck his arms in the gap between the two floors and strenuously hoisted himself. 

When he felt a solid floor underneath him, he sighed relief and immediately called Andre and Sean, all the while paying attention to what was happening in the elevator. 

"Come up quickly,"

Anson took his body weight off Selwynn and looked calmly into the darkness. Only a little light can be seen through the small gap, like a speck of white falling onto a black canvas.
