The right one

"What?" the president asked, noticing her smiling and staring at him.

"You... never mind, I know what I have to do," she replied as he placed his hand behind his head brushing it on his hair.

"I was just reminding you, how weird did I sound ?" he asked.

"You didn't, was not weird at all, you're fine, I'd say it was cute," she replied, and they laughed as she walked away with Celia.

"That's the first guy you've complimented other than my brother in your years at this academy, of course," Celia said.

"I told you earlier, don't go connecting dots, I like being honest, you know that, and I bet you didn't think of him as cute but hot," she responded.

"You said it, not me," Celia said, and both of the girls laughed as they entered an empty classroom and turned on the lights to see different gowns laid out on a table.

"Look, they even built a curtain changing room, all the windows are locked too, they sure are careful, let me take a look at things and then you can start changing," Celia said as she looked around the room, then when she was satisfied, she stopped and sighed because it was one of the safest classrooms in the entire academy at the time, and the president made sure of that.

"Everything is fine, nothing suspicious; you can begin changing in the changing room," Celia said as the princess grabbed a gown and went to change.

While the girl was changing, the teachers postponed the revision because they knew the students were busy at the time and didn't want to put them under pressure.

"Wow," Celia exclaimed as the princess emerged in a blue gown, and Lyra smiled.

"That's the one; it's not revealing anything; are you at ease in it?" Celia inquired.

"Yes, it's comfortable," she said.

"Good then, I'll tell the president, change back into your uniform," Celia said as she walked away, leaving Lyra to change back into her uniform.

"President," Celia said as she walked into the classroom, and he took a deep breath.

"For God's sake, Celia, no running, and I have a name, sweetheart," he said, smiling.

"I know, I'll call you by it more often, we found a nice dress, and thanks for making sure everything was safe," she replied, smiling.

"You are welcome; we were cautious because she's the princess," he explained.

"Glad you were," Lyra said as she returned to the classroom just as the students were getting ready for lunch.

"You are also welcome," he said, and she sighed.

"Come on guys, let's have lunch, I'm pretty hungry and sleepy as well," Lyra said as Cyris approached her and placed his arm around her neck.

"How come? you are never this tired, are you stressed out about something?" Cyris inquired.

"I have my own problems, you know, my life isn't problem-free," she replied, and he smiled.

"I know, is it really that bad?" will you be okay ?" Celia questioned.

"Guys, I'll be fine," she assured them.

"She appears to be strong, and I am sure that whatever it is, she can handle it," the president said.

"Thank you, and I'm sure I can,' she replied as they sat down to eat.

"You guys are really cute," Celia mumbled, and Cyris thumped her behind the head and she pouted.

"I'm going to slap you," he said.

"Whatever, I don't see anything wrong with wanting my friend to have a happy love life, she seems a bit out of this world, I mean she has never liked anyone," Celia complained, and Lyra smiled.

"When I look at it that way, we are already nearing the end of the academy, Lyra, do you ever plan on having a love life or are your parents going to go with arrange marriage?" Cyris inquired, and Celia coughed.

"The king and queen have never once mentioned marriage, they are rarely around, but if I don't have a love life and the time comes when they bring up marriage, only if I don't have someone I love, then I wouldn't... mind giving it a try," she responded, and a smile appeared on their faces.

"Are you sure you don't like someone, Lyra?" Celia asked and Lyra's eyes widened as she stared at the girl.

"Why do you ask? I don't "She replied.

"For a brief moment, I thought you might because you sounded unsure," Celia said as Lyra lowered her head.

"I wonder if I do," she pondered.

"Okay, this conversation seems to be stressing Lyra out, even more, let's end it, alright," Cyris said as Lyra drank from her bottle of water.

"Eating pastry for lunch is not healthy; go to the canteen and buy something or have some of our lunch," Celia explained.

"No, I'm not that hungry, but thanks for the offer," she replied, as Cyris and Celia exchanged concerned glances.

"Lyra I'd like you to make a promise to me "Celia stated.

"Celia," Cyris uttered.

"I want you to promise that if you ever need to talk more, if something bothers you and you need our help, you will do your best to tell us," Celia said as Lyra smiled.

"Well, I can try, so I promise I'll do my best, okay?" Lyra stated.

"Thank you," Celia replied, and the bell rang, signaling the end of their lunch break, and everyone returned to their studies with their teacher.

Later that day, after school came to an end, the students stayed for a few more hours to practice and help prepare for the competition, and just before the sun went down, they decided to go home and leave the rest for the next day.

"I'm tired; I'll see you tomorrow," Lyra said.

"I need to call the driver," Lyra said, pulling out her fancy phone and dialing his number.

"Hello," she said upon calling him.

"Your highness," he answered.

"I am ready to go home; are you available?' "She asked.

"I apologize, your highness; I am out with your brother," he replied.

"I see, well, don't let me bother you any longer, carry on," she said.

"I can call home and request another car," he said as night fell and she smiled.

"It's fine, no need for that; I'll take a taxi home; see you later," she said.

"Bye, my lady," he said, then hung up as the president approached her on a flashy motorbike.

"I can give you a lift if you need one; all you have to do is hop on," he said, and she smiled before getting on the bike, and he smiled back.

"Hold tight, your highness," he said as she placed her hand on his shoulder and drove away, causing her to close her eyes and he grinned for he realized she had never went on a bike before.
