7 The Builder

All the House Stark members had gathered in the Winterfell courtyard. We've been waiting while Lady Catelyn tries to fix Robb's hair. It's been a week since my new men arrived. Today is the day House Mormont will arrive. In fact, they're about to arrive, the guards reported that they're getting too close to Winterfell. That's why we're here. We look forward to welcoming them.

Behind me is Bennet, whom I met the first day my men arrived. I have made him my unofficial squire for now. He stays with me and does my errands. Next to him is Jon. At first Lady Catelyn had objected to Bennet and Jon standing by us. So I said that Bennet would be my assistant from now on and would be with me wherever I went. I also said that Jon is no different to me than Robb, and that if he's not going to stand here, I don't need to stand either.

The discussion went on for a while. Eventually, with my uncle intervening, we agreed that Jon would stand behind me with Bennet.

Jon looked embarrassed the entire time. I finally caught him looking at me with a grateful look and smiled. That's the least I can do for him. I've spent the past 5 years with Robb and Jon since I came to this world. Although I am an adult inside, I cannot say that I do not like them. They became like two little brothers to me.

Although Bennet tried not to show it too much, he looked nervous and proud. After all, he was an ordinary orphan until a week ago. Now he stands between lords and ladies.

Some of my other subordinates are waiting further back with other guards. The rest went to the training ground to do their training for today. For the past week, I've been busy setting up educational work for them. The day after I gave my speech, we got up at 6 am. This has become a routine for me now. So I was used to it, but most of the boys almost fell asleep standing up. I told them all to go out immediately and wash their faces and come back. On the cold northern morning, they all looked more awake after washing their faces with cold water. Afterwards, we ate together in the great hall. After breakfast they all lined up again. I asked if any of them could read and write. Surprisingly, 20 of them raised their hands. I think my uncle was quite picky when collecting them. One of those who raised his hand was Bennet. I then said that illiterate people would take 2 hours of classes every morning. Others would focus on improving their skills until everyone was ready for advanced classes. After 2 hours of education, I wanted all of them to be ready in the training area. After meeting in the training area, we started with simple warm-ups and jogging. Then, 15 boys over the age of 11 started simple weight lifting and fitness exercises. Others continued with endurance exercises.

We continued like this until noon and went to lunch. They had a 2-hour break after lunch. Then they continued their training. They've been like this every day for the past week. It was difficult at first, but it can be said that they gradually got used to it. 25 of them have made good progress in learning to read and write, and they should all be able to learn within 2 weeks at the latest. After that, we can move on to simple math and other subjects. There is nothing very advanced in his physical exercises for now. I also teach them to follow orders. I've arranged for several guards to yell at them for every wrongdoing and disobedience they make. 2 days ago I noticed that Bennet is quite selfless. He tried much harder in his education and training than the others. That's why I decided to keep him with me.

While I was lost in my thoughts, I heard the sounds of horses. I think they came. A minute later the small party entered. In front was a middle-aged woman riding a horse. Behind him was a girl a few years older than me and a group of guards. When they entered the courtyard, they dismounted and came towards us.

The woman smiled and greeted my uncle first. Then he turned to me.

"And here is our little lord. We heard a lot about you."

"Welcome to Winterfell, Lady Maege, and I've heard a lot about you bear island women. I'd love to talk to you and the young lady who, I think, is your daughter."

"hahaha yes young lord, I would like to talk to you too and yes, this is my daughter Dacey"

After talking for a while, everyone went inside. My uncle asked me if I could show Lady Dacey around Winterfell.

After talking for a while, everyone went inside. My uncle asked me if I could show Lady Dacey around Winterfell. I agreed and the two of us broke up with them. Dacey looks like she's 11 or 12 years old. He is of average height with long black hair and black eyes. A beautiful girl with white skin. I believe she will be very beautiful when she grows up.

After walking around Winterfell for a while, we came to the Godswood. She spoke as we approached Heart Tree.

"I heard from my mother that you are very smart. You made all that soap and glass."

"I mean, I didn't actually do them, I just discovered how to do it. Craftsmen made them here."

"So how did you find to do all this?"

"I don't know, I just like to tinker with new things and learn about them. I found all of these while researching and experimenting."

We didn't talk much after that and went back to the great hall. That evening, after a small feast, I retired to my room. Lots of work to do soon.

""1 Month Later""

I stopped in the castle courtyard and bid farewell to the last group of nobles to leave Winterfell.

This past month has been very tiring. Having to constantly talk to the fucking stupid nobles was a lot harder than I thought. At least I didn't have to try too hard to endear myself. Make no mistake, I treated them with respect, yes, but I didn't bother to get close or befriend them. After all, they won't be so important in the future.

Worst of all were the damned Umbers. I already didn't trust them for what they did on the show, but I can't stand those stupid, noisy idiots anymore. All fools care about is fighting. Unless, of course, attacking randomly, with no logic or glimmer of intelligence, and using brute force counts as fighting.

'Now, I can finally get back to my training.'

I turned back and walked towards my room. On the way, something caught my eye. The Broken Tower.

Now I realize that they didn't really do winterfell justice in the series. Supposedly, not even giants could pass through the gates of Winterfell. We saw what happened on the show. Winterfell featured in the series is a dwarf next to the one I'm in right now. I think this version is in the books. The tower looks 50 or 60 meters high. (I don't know how Bran survived when he fell from here.) Moreover, it is this high even though the upper part was destroyed by a lightning strike.

"Hmm a lightning strike huh. I think I found something new to linger on."

"hey Bennet"

"yes, milord"

"Go get these new measuring equipments from my room. I think we're going to use them already. Also bring my drawing kit."

"It's time for House Stark to have a new "The Builder""
