10 The Big Plans are on the Way

"yes guys, great, put it right there. If we connect the pipes now, we're done for today."

You may be asking what I'm doing right now. It's been 3 months since Sansa was born. I completed several new projects in these 3 months. I am currently managing the construction of a small factory for the production of one of these projects. What is this project? Something I think Robert Baratheon would love. This new project will bring innovation to Westeros. People living here either drink beer or wine. Now is the time to innovate and these innovations are called vodka and whiskey.

The reason I chose to make vodka and whiskey is because they are both made from grain. Grain is something much easier to find in the North than fruit.

As I said, other developments took place in these three months. The first was to set up my new lab when the renovations at Winterfell were finally finished. Once the lab was set up, I did the main important part. To supply the materials I need for my experiments. Finding all those chemicals was a pain in the ass, but I finally had a small but functional laboratory.

When the lab was ready, my first job was to tell the glassmakers to make the strongest lenses they could. My order was ready within a week. Of course, I did not sit idle while waiting for my orders to be ready in this week. I made the preparations to make vodka and whiskey and created grain mash and left it to ferment.

When my new lenses arrived, I was able to make a simple, primitive but useful microscope with them. Then I said, if I built a microscope, why shouldn't I have a telescope? So I ordered lenses again from the glass makers. Now I have a functional microscope and telescope.

Just when I was done, I thought that I could focus on new projects now, but realized that I couldn't make the precise measurements I needed with the damn primitive units of measure that westeros has now.

So, I started a new project. It was time to introduce the metric system to Westeros. When I explained to my uncle how the metric system works, he immediately realized how useful it would be in business and dayly life. Then we decided to use it in Winterfell for a while before ordering the use of the metric system all over the North. That's why we've produced a few more instruments such as meters, scales, and graduated cylinders.

When I was done with all this, I was finally able to focus on alcohol making. I distilled the fermented products with the help of distillers I set up in my laboratory. Then I filled them in wooden barrels that I had prepared before and stored them for aging.

Two weeks ago I unsealed the barrels and had them taste by my uncle and a few other people. Needless to say, they loved it. My uncle said these would be the best selling item in the North, even if they weren't sold anywhere else. Although Uncle Ned himself likes both, he seems to prefer whiskey.

And so we come to today. We are establishing a factory for the production of whiskey and vodka.

"Milord, we finished connecting the pipes." said one of the workers.

"well, then we're done for this day's work." I said.

""Winterfell--1 Hour Later""

When I got to my room, I jumped on my bed. It was very tiring today. I want to grow as soon as possible. This damn body is too weak. As I lay on my bed for a while, I heard the knock on my door.

"My lord, I have prepared your bath."

So it was Ros. I forgot I even told him to prep my bath. "I'm coming Rose." I said and got up from my bed.

I left my room after a while. Ros was still waiting for me outside the door. In these 3 months Ros had gotten used to winterfell. Now she looks much prettier while wearing cleaner and neater clothes.

She's also doing a good job as my assistant right now. Of course she does this while I'm in Winterfell. If I go to Winter Town or anywhere else, Bennet is my assistant. Other times, Bennet is my aide-de-camp and Ros is my assistant. Being literate was a big plus. So we didn't have to start from scratch. She's also quite intelligent. She is very open to learning new things. For now, I'm teaching her while I have time. I could send her to classes with the maester, but I don't think she would feel comfortable with the 45 other boys in those classes.

When I left my room, I greeted Ros and headed to the bathrooms. I had taken a few steps when I heard Ros's voice behind me.

"My lord, would you like me to help you in the bathroom?"

Was what I heard true? Or are my ears playing tricks on me?... I turned around and looked at Ros and saw her shy face. I guess she doesn't really believe what she's saying either.

I was silent for a while. Now that I think about it, I haven't spoiled myself that much since I was born here as a lord. Also it's not like anything could happen. Those parts of my body are not working yet.

After thinking a bit more, I spoke. "Of course Ros, why not. I'd appreciate any help."She seemed surprised and excited that I had accepted.

I spoke before she could say anything. "Let's go to the bathroom Ros. I don't want to be late for dinner."

so I headed for the bathroom with a shy and excited Ros behind me.

""2 Days Later""

Today is a big day. If you ask why, I'm going to talk to my uncle to have him accept the biggest project I've done since I came into this world.

The construction of this project will take a long time and will be costly. But once it's done, it's going to be hugely rewarding for House Stark.

I walked out my door after checking my files for the last time. I saw Ros on the way. When I saw him, I thought of the bathroom 2 days ago. Nothing happened as I thought. We were already wearing towels that covered our important parts. But I have to admit it was nice to be served by others in the bathroom. Especially since Ros has a very good massage ability.

I say hi to Ros and continue on my way. Finally I arrived in front of my uncle's Solar and went inside. My uncle was busy at his desk as usual. He was going to say something when he saw me, but I acted before him.

"Uncle, I came here today to talk with you about something very big." I said and put the file in front of him.
