11 An accident at home

Robert paused his tight schedule to go see Katherine Psychologist the next day. Katherine had been right when she said her doctor will call that same day she announced her pregnancy.

In his lavished office made for patient and doctor, Robert listened to what Dr Martin has to say so he could outrightly tell him how much nonsense he has been feeding Katherine mind. He didn't want agree to an abortion. He rather go insane than allow what has been foretold about his unborn child come true. Dr Martin understood what Robert must be thinking. He was awed when his patient Katherine had talked about an abortion. He had told her he would speak to her husband and she didn't mind too. Dr Martin needed to talk to Katherine husband not to respect his wife decision of having the child aborted. He even called Robert that same day as a reminder.

But today, Dr Martin had a rethink on what Katherine had confessed about her son Damien. And from that reason she is restless and scared and one of his outermost concern as a doctor is sorting out solutions for his patient. So even if she doesn't abort this child she will be afraid for the remaining 9 months of her pregnancy. She may even lose the baby if natures allows it. He had thought it over and over before he heard Robert's knock on the door.

"Well she knows how much you wonder why? But you see, she just can't cope. She says its for reasons that will make her inadequate. She has these fantasies you see. She fantasize that your child is an alien, that your child is evil."

Robert pays attention while the doctor explains what has been going on with Katherine. He had no reasons to think that Dr Martin has been feeding her with allot of nonsense. Robert tries to be comfortable in the sofa while the Doctor walk back and forth behind another sofa, explaining his view about Katherine fantasies of Damien making her restless, troubled and afraid.

"She thinks that the child is evil?" Robert asked and thought it through, Does it have to do with the nightmare she refuse to tell him?

"The topic right now is that she thinks another child is disastrous."

"Then in what way did she say the child is evil?" Robert waited for his answer while Dr Martin went to take his seat before his desk.

"No. Now this is just fantasy. She also thinks the child isn't hers."

Now that had sent cold piercing ice all over Robert being. No lights has been shred into the past concerning their first child and Damien's adoption. He had paid the staff that was responsible for the Katherine operation to say nothing. The hospital chaplain Father Spilleto had help too, promising that he will take the secret to his grave. Thinking of it now, Robert became troubled and agitated.

Dr Martin went to seat on the sofa opposite Roberts. He understood clearly what Robert grave look meant. "Mr Thorn, your wife is troubled. Even if I am against it, the best thing to do is to agree to an abortion. Because I will be frank with you, even if you don't agree to an abortion and her troubled state persist the more, she may loose the baby."

"NO!" Robert interjected, looking straight into Dr Martin's eyes.

"I like to know your reasons Mr Thorn." Well Dr Martin is not surprised by Robert outburst. Its was his child either ways and he had right to him or her. Yet Robert reason made him speechless for seconds.

"It was foretold that this pregnancy will be terminated. I am going to fight that it is not." Robert sign thinking about what Father Brennan had told him. He got up to leave. "Forgive me doctor."

"No please don't leave Mr Thorn." Doctor Martin plead with him while he tries to stop him from leaving.

"Am sorry, but I must get home." Robert close the door behind him.

Robert speed up in his car to go see his wife. He felt worried, like something was off. After the yesterday headlines of Father Brennans death and the conversation with Dr Martin, Robert felt his wife need him more than ever before she does something she would regret. But what he is thinking may not be what Katherine plans to do.

Damien in his room, was having fun riding in his scooter while Mrs Baylocks stood by away from his drive way. She kept an evil smirk while Damien kept twirling round on his little scooter. Later Mrs Baylocks went to open Damien's room door to the corridor leading to the hall way up the stairs. Today will be the day Katherine looses her baby, so, Mrs Baylocks will ensure her master make sure it the pregnancy is terminated.

Close to the hallway, Katherine was handling some hanged flower pots over the railing at the Estate's third floor. she needed to water it since the only nanny can't handle the whole works. She climbs a table close by to sprinkle water on the flower pots. While she did so, Damien still riding his scooter rams into her table. It shook her off where she stood in to the other side of the railing. She hangs on for support while she cries for help. Damien on the other hand could have done something such as run to Mrs Baylocks or any of the security for help, but no, he squats down the floor watching his mum struggles to climb up. But her hands couldn't hang on much longer. It became slippery. Katherine cried knowing she will fall any moment if no one came to her aid, still no one came, not even Mrs Baylocks. She falls over the railing to the ground floor. Damien stared down to see if she is dead before scurrying away. Katherine was still on the ground floor on her belly with no one at the moment to come take her to the hospital.
