"Yo man, get your ass down here I don't want you late for school" I shouted at the bottom of the stairs. "Good morning Daddy" I smiled and looked at my beautiful Anne I picked her in my arms and kissed her head. "Good morning sweetheart" I told her." Daddy xavvy brought a girl in last night and their lips were together as if they were dancing then I tiptoed between them and put sorsha there then..." "Shut your big mouth tiny."
I looked at Xavier my boy is all grown up and he has ways with dealing with the loss even though I don't approve of it. "C'mon Xavier I've told you to stop bringing in girls and most of all don't let Anne see anything you guys do" I dropped Anne and looked at him sternly. "Oooooh xavvy is in trouble" Anne said in a sing song showing her gapped teeth. "Okay tiny what will it take for you to shut up" Xavier asked her I already knew the answer I counted to five as I watched her fake thinking. "Hmmmmmmm, I want.. your game room" I laughed and left them to continue their banter I had to give instructions to Daniel.
" Daniel".... "Yes sir" he answered "I need you to order some freshly baked cookies Anne has a playdate today with a few of her friends you know the usual. Could you ask Dorisse to come over I'll be home a bit late. "Daaaddddyyyy" Anne shrieked. "Damn woman" I closed my ears using my two hands to cover it. "Language daddy, bad word" I smiled and ruffled her hair.
"That's true sweetie that's why any time Xavier says it you tell Daddy okay" she nodded then Xavier snorted. "Good morning Children" a female voice called from the living room. Anne ran from my arms into the sitting room and Xavier speed walked I laughed at that and I followed. "Good morning Dorise". I hugged her "I wasn't expecting you till later on" ..."Oh well Damien as soon as Daniel called I decided to come over"she smiled. Thank you Soo much Dorise" I checked the time and saw that if I had the kids didn't leave the house now we would all be late.
I gave Dorise a kiss on her head and we all left the house I helped Anne to get into the car and put on her seat belt while Xavier entered his car. On the car ride Anne just kept playing with my tablet not that I minded "Daddy" she called "Yes hunny" I answered her looking at her "Xavier owes me his game room for my play date today" she said giving me a toothy smile. I laughed at that "I know hunny I was there". " I want a game room too pweety pwease" she begged giving me her puppy eyes. " Hmmmmmmm tell you what, if pass your test today I'll tell Daniel to convert the guest room into your own play room". "Okay Daddy thank you"
After dropping off Anne I went straight to the company I had a lot of things to do today plus I already have a lead on Tammy's death after all these years I promise to destroy all of them involved.
"Good day Sir" My receptionist Christine came in. "Yes Chris how may I help you?" I looked pointedly at her then I saw her squirm I bit I smiled a bit just to ease the tension. "what is it?". "Sir Mr dewyville is her to see you". "ohh okay send him in" I told her..."But last time..." I was getting pissed already "Send him in Chris don't let me say it again". "O-okay Sir" I watched her scramble out of my office.
"Parker"I looked up after hearing this. "Hmmm dewyville it's been a while. To what do I know this honor?" I stood up and went closer to him. "Of course do have your seat. Whiskey?".
"No whiskey I do not like to take whiskey in the morning. How about a cup of tea?" ....."Sure of course". I rang Chris and told her to bring in tea and scones. "So Mr Dewyville I wish that you indulge me in the purpose of this visit. i'm a busy man and do not have time to waste". . . . .
"I am here to remind you that it's your turn to host the next midnight Gala for the past ten years we have left you alone because we didn't felt you needed time to mourn her now it's your turn pick venue and time before the end of this week." On this note he Left. I sat down and put my head between my hands.
