Betrayal

Izuku stared at the man appalled by what he just said. This man was none other than Minoru Mineta, the same man who had confessed to him twice during their second high school year, the same one who he had seemingly been friends with.

"T-the letters…" "Yours truly~" "The stalker who was following me before and after I started getting walked home?" "One time, but I didn't have the materials I needed to kidnap you~" "K-Kidnap!?" "Well you rejected me twice, what else was I supposed to do? I loved you more than you realized…" "You could've just moved on!" "But your smile was so enrapturing and your laugh was so intoxicating~ And your hair, so luscious and beautiful…" "What is wrong with you?" "What do you mean?~ Love makes you do crazy things Izuku~ this is just my way of showing you love~" "So why Kirishima!? What did he do to you!?" "I had moved so far away and I didn't know what I wanted so I just got bored of him one day. And I wanted to fill the void left in my heart when you broke it, twice…"

Izuku stared at Mineta In shock and disgust as he caressed his face softly. Suddenly Someone in the back said:

"You, fucking bastard…" "Oh, Katsuki. What a surprise…."

Mineta turned back to look at Katsuki coldly while keeping his grip on Izuku firm.

"I thought I told Detective Keigo to have you tied up… Oh well, some things just don't go in your favor…" "It was you… it was all you…" "Yes, are you honestly surprised? Really I would have thought you knew it was me all along. I guess Izuku here didn't tell all the details~" "You fucking lunatic! You killed Kirishima, you killed Aunt Inko! It's all your fault!" "Or maybe it's your fault for not going that extra length to have me arrested that day~ If you had actually called the police that day I would've been in jail~ but no, you thought a little threat was going to stop me from getting what I wanted~" "S-stop blaming Kacchan! It's not his fault… They say that people will always want what they can't have!-"

Mineta had turned back to Izuku and slammed his head against the tree hard. Izuku winced in pain as deep red blood flowed down the tree stump. Mineta grabbed Izuku by his hair and forced Izuku to look at him.

"You are already mine Izuku~ whether you like it or not I've already claimed you!"

Katsuki rushed towards Mineta in an attempt to tackle him, but before he could react Mineta pulled out his gun and shot straight at Katsuki. Katsuki had his hand outstretched prior to being shot so The bullet had gone through his hand rather than hitting his right eye. Katsuki fell to the ground crying out in pain as he did. He planned on getting up but Mineta had put a gun to Izuku's head before Katsuki got the chance.

"One move, and Izuku joins his mother~" "Katsuki don't listen to him!-"

Mineta pistol-whipped Izuku across his face, giving him a black eye on his left eye.

"Shut up. Now Katsuki, you're going to let me have my way with Izuku as you watch. Because I know to hurt you I need to hurt this sexy piece of work right here~"

Mineta tapped the gun on Izuku's right cheek and smirked evilly. He started kissing Izuku's neck as Izuku whimpered and cried. Katsuki lunged forward.

"Izuku!-"

Mineta wagged his finger at Katsuki as he pointed the gun at Izuku's head again. Izuku and Katsuki stared at each other, forced into the embarrassing and terrible situation in which Izuku was getting raped in front of him and he could do nothing but watch. Suddenly Shoto appeared behind Mineta and signaled for Katsuki not to make eye contact so that he wasn't spotted. Katsuki's eyes roved back from Shoto to the quickly escalating scene before him. He stared at Izuku as he looked away from Mineta and Katsuki in shame and defeat, but just then Shoto struck Mineta on his head making him extremely dizzy and agitated.

"Katsuki! Take Izuku and run! I've got this!" "Shoto! What about?-" "RUN!"

Katsuki swiftly picked up Izuku and started running away from where Shoto started his struggle with Mineta.

"Katsuki…" "Yes Izuku?" "We have to go back for Shoto…" "We can't right now, we need to get you to the detective…" "No!" "Izuku, I understand that you want to help Shoto but-" "That's not It! It's the detective, He's-" "I'm what Izuku Midoriya?"

Katsuki stopped dead in his tracks as Detective Keigo stood in front of them both with an annoyed look on his face.

"D-detective Keigo!" "Really Izuku I would LOVE for you to continue…"

Izuku turned his face away from the Detective. Katsuki stood holding Izuku confused by what the conflict between the both of them was. Suddenly Keigo pulled his gun on Katsuki and said:

"Put Izuku Midoriya on the floor and step away from him slowly…" "Detective What are you doing? There are larger matters to take care of! Shoto is back there struggling against That rapist back there-" "Back where Katsuki?"

Katsuki turned behind him and saw Mineta holding Shoto, who was unconscious. Katsuki was baffled. Why was the detective pulling his gun on him? The detective kept his gun pointed at Katsuki as he spoke to Mineta.

"I thought I told you to make it quick!?" "Well who was I to deny Izuku my identity? Also these two nuisances got in my way before I got to have any fun…" "You told him your identity!? Do you know what this means!?" "Look, just shoot them and take Shoto with you as a witness~ it's not that big of a deal…" "Why would I take Shoto?" "He doesn't know anything, in fact he's knocked out cold right now…"

The detective sighed and rolled his eyes before looking back at Izuku who was now hiding his face in Katsuki's shoulder fearing the worst.

"Now Katsuki, you're going to hand over Izuku Midoriya or else the consequences will be dire…" "W-why? Aren't you supposed to be helping him!? Why are you working with Mineta!?" "I thought you only told ONE of them your Identity…" "The other butted in. Also, I told you to shoot THEM for a reason… Jeez you never listen." "Answer my question!" "I have my own personal reasons… None of which concern you… So if you could hand over Izuku that would be-"

Just then Officer Yamada, Officer Aizawa and Officer Rumi along with many other cops appeared in the distance. Immediately Detective Keigo shifted his gun off of Katsuki and onto Mineta as the cops arrived with a news helicopter overhead.

"D-Detective! I-it's him! You caught him!" "That, I did Officer Rumi… It's all thanks to Izuku, Katsuki and Shoto here…"

Katsuki was shocked by how fast the Detective switched his attitude. He heard Mineta place Shoto down on the grass below them and say:

"Oh, what a surprise. Not only the Chiba police department but also the Hitachi police? I'm impressed… really."

Just then Katsuki felt the hand of Mineta hit his neck hard, knocking him out. Izuku fell onto the floor and shrieked as he was picked up again by Mineta and thrown over his shoulder.

"Really it was great meeting all of you but now I need to go and i'm taking Izuku with me~"

Izuku screamed as Mineta started running in the other direction from the police.

"Detective, what should we do!? He's getting away!" "We're going to surround him, CHIBA PD TAKE LEFT! HITACHI PD TAKE RIGHT! ALL THE HIGH RANKING OFFICERS WILL TAKE THE MIDDLE! We're catching him today…"

Izuku continued to scream even though the officers were out of sight, only endless amounts of trees and other wildlife rushing by him in an instant. It was already dusk, and the light from the helicopter flying overhead was so bright it felt like it was blinding Izuku. Nothing in that moment scared him more than the thought of this being broadcasted all over Japan, for everyone to see him helpless and at the mercy of someone he thought he could trust. Izuku closed his eyes and thought about what would happen next. Would he be kidnapped? Killed? Raped on Tv? All of these questions frightened Izuku deeply as he thought 'What would mom do?'. Izuku could no longer hear Mineta running after what felt like an hour and instead he heard him breathing heavily while scowling. Izuku opened his eyes to see that they had indeed stopped moving and the other police officers along with Detective Keigo were catching up, and when he looked behind him there were Officers surrounding him on all sides and the news chopper was just overhead with Shoto and Katsuki staring down from inside. Izuku thought that Mineta would just pull another trick out of his sleeve but instead he just put him down and the gun down before standing with both of his hands in the air saying:

"Well guess the game's over~ you caught me~ but before you arrest me I just want to say that your detective isn't the most trustworthy person here." "W-what's he talking about Detective?" "He's talking crazy Officer Rumi! He's only trying to stall for time…" "Ok, then if you want me to make a long story short, I could've been in this position years ago at a smaller scale than this, and your detective is a liar and a cheat, he's also my old-"

Izuku saw as the bullet grazed Mineta's neck leaving a trail of blood flowing down the side of his neck. Mineta turned behind him to see the only one holding up their gun was Detective Keigo. Mineta stared at him with a dead and agitated look in his eyes while The detective looked back at him with a crazy look in his eyes.

"Fine, arrest me already. I want my lawyer though…"

Mineta was put into handcuffs and started to walk with the other police but he stopped by Detective Keigo and Izuku could just barely make out what he was saying.

"See you soon お兄さん〜" "Burn in hell…"

Izuku couldn't believe his ears. He had to tell the police this information but before he even got to his eyes started to feel heavy, and his vision started to blur. He was tired because of all the screaming he did earlier, and the back of his head was still bleeding a bit, he could faintly hear Officer Rumi say:

"The back of this kid's head is bleeding! Call an ambulance! Don't fall asleep yet ok kid? You did good today…"

Izuku noticed his vision and hearing going in and out as another officer carried him towards the sirens from the ambulance which got louder and louder. But Izuku still felt too tired and he started to drift off slowly.

"Izuku…" "K-kirishima!"

Izuku and Kirishima were in a white void, nothing was in the distance and nothing was nearby except for Kirishima. Izuku walked forward to hug him but Kirishima backed away swiftly and hung his head low.

"What's wrong Kirishima?" "Izuku you fell asleep and your heart stopped beating… and If you touch me, you won't wake up…" "What? You've gotta be joking right?" "No Izuku, you're in limbo right now…"

Izuku couldn't believe it, he was really dead. He didn't think that the bleeding had gotten that bad, but apparently it had gotten worse with the amount of time he hadn't got it treated.

"You're going to be ok though! Because the doctors are working really hard to help and I'll keep you alive here until they get your heartbeat back!" "But Kirishima, What if I really do die?" "You won't! I'll keep you alive until they bring you back, someone has to take care of Katsuki while I'm gone, and you can't leave Inu behind either! Everyone is here at the hospital waiting anxiously to hear that you came out of this alive, you have to stay alive, for them Izuku." "But the rapist, well mineta, he was caught. So it's fine now right?" "No Izuku, they can't prove anything even with Katsuki and Todoroki. And the detective won't be much help either, you heard what Mineta said to him before you fell asleep…" "A-are they really?" "Yes, they're brothers, half brothers to be more specific. And most likely, he'll want to plead for the insanity charge rather than a jail sentence. And if that happens he'll easily be able to escape. You are the Key to cracking this case wide open, and even if you don't want to testify, at least keep living for me Izuku…"

Izuku thought for a minute, if he really were to give up, then Mineta could just escape and go on raping, maybe even killing people with his half brother alongside him to help in his crimes, Izuku had made a decision.

"I have to end this then, for real this time. I need to keep living, at least long enough to send him to jail…" "Thank you Izuku, you won't see me for a while, but it'll be ok. I just need to pass on this message before you go back."

Izuku looked down at himself and saw himself slowly fading away. He looked back up to find Kirishima crying as he spoke.

"Your mom says 'Take care of yourself Izuku and I love you' Goodbye Izuku, tell mina I said I love her and tell Katsuki that I'll miss him… see you, someday."

Izuku opened his eyes to find Katsuki pacing back and forth outside of the room and Shoto sitting down shaking his leg anxiously. They didn't know he was awake yet and he saw that they looked worried so he decided he should probably attempt to brighten their moods a little. So when Shoto said:

"Please, please Midoriya wake up…"

Izuku lightheartedly responded with a simple:

"Boo."

Shoto sprang up from his seat in what Izuku hoped was shock and happiness. He staggered backwards a bit before going to Katsuki, who was still pacing, furiously tapping on his shoulders.

"What, what, what!? What is it Shoto?" "M-m-m-midoriya h-h-he-" "Spit it out Shoto!" "He's alive…"

Katsuki quickly rushed into the room eager to see if he was telling the truth. Izuku decided to play a little prank and closed his eyes before They got a good look at him.

"Shoto I thought you said he was alive…" "H-he is! I-I-I swear he was awake just a minute ago…" "Shoto I swear to god if-" "Boo" "HOLY-"

Izuku again opened his eyes in front of both of them this time nearly causing Katsuki to faint. Which made Izuku super scared thinking he scared Katsuki to death.

"Ah! No no no no no Katsuki oh my god, please don't die! I thought it was a good prank! I'm so sorry!"

Katsuki sprang up from the floor in shock and sent Shoto to get everyone else from the lobby as he walked over to Izuku who had nearly started to cry and hugged him tightly and cried while laughing.

"Y-y-you fucking *Sniff sniff sniff* A-a-a-asshole! I thought y-y-you d-d-died!" "Oh my god, no! W-well almost but-" "Nope! D-don't even do that *Sniff* I've had enough scares for the day!" "K-kacchan you're squeezing too hard *Cough cough* Kacchan!"

Katsuki let go of Izuku crying and smiling but he covered his mouth before Izuku could see. Everyone else arrived and basically fought to get through the door first but Mina had let go of Inu who had squeezed his way past everyone and jumped onto Izuku's hospital bed where Izuku laid and jumped on him excitedly licking his face while doing so. Iida had everyone else file into the room in an orderly manner as Izuku pet Inu for the first time in what felt like forever.

"Izuku! You're Okay! Thank god!" "It is relieving to see you alive and well Izuku!" "Thank you ochaco, Thank you Iida. It's nice to see you two doing well also…" "We were so scared Izuku! When I watched the news I never knew that the person they were going to use as bait was you! I should've paid them to find somebody else…" "T-t-there would've been no need for that Momo but I'm grateful that you would've done that…." "Speaking of the news, I think it's on right now! They should be covering the topic of the Detective who was there too!"

Izuku and Katsuki looked at each other concerned and knowingly as Mina turned to the news channel.

"Back on the topic of the Hitachi jingu chase, there was a statement said by the Break-in rapist which shook the trust people had in Detective Takami Keigo. Which was stated by the man quote unquote 'Well guess the game's over, you caught me. But before you arrest me I just want to say that your detective isn't the most trustworthy person here.' a little later he stated 'Ok, then if you want me to make a long story short, I could've been in this position years ago at a smaller scale than this, and your detective is a liar and a cheat.' He started to say something else but before he got the chance he got shot at by Detective Keigo and asked for his lawyer while surrendering willingly saying something to said detective as he was being taken away by police officers. Things are not looking good for Detective Keigo as allegations start to rise to the surface of this whole ordeal. Authorities claim that it may just be nothing as they have already started to interrogate the man behind the countless rapes and murders of several people." "Speaking on that matter we now go live to the brave soul who helped the Chiba and Hitachi PD catch the rapist in question. Over to you, Tokuda Taneo." "We're live outside of the Hitachi hospital where the hero of this story, Izuku Midoriya, is being treated. And based on our last update we still have no news on whether he's- Oh, wait… I'm hearing something from the reporter in the hospital that he is indeed alive and well…"

Izuku looked at the small TV in shock as everyone stared at him with their mouths agape. He didn't think that in just a few hours the story had gone viral. Before he even had time to think, a news reporter lady and a cameraman had barged into the room and waltzed right up to him, pointing the microphone in his direction.

"U-ummm g-good evening ma'am…" "You're Izuku Midoriya right!?" "Y-yep, that's me…" "Good we go live in 3 2 1, Izuku midoriya, how do you feel after confronting the rapist who not only raped you but also hurt those around you?" "I-I-" "It's ok let it all out!"

Izuku looked at everyone else in the room, at the lady, the cameraman and continued doing this until eventually he said:

"I-I was scared shitless…" "Good, good, how about the detective? What do you have to say about him and the current allegations that's been circling around him?" "W-what are the allegations? I never heard them for myself…" "Well allegations like he was actually framing the rapist or maybe he was secretly dating him and waited for the right moment to strike because he either was faking it or just wasn't happy in the relationship, and the most popular one was that he was working with the rapist and covering up his crimes! Really juicy if you ask me~"

Izuku immediately looked at Katsuki who stared back at him with an equal amount of concern. He didn't know what would happen to detective Keigo if he told them that one of the allegations was true and there was another big secret behind this whole scheme on national television but at the same time he didn't want to just leave it out in the open. The more creative people would get the more creative the allegations would get as well.

"All I have to say is that he and the rapist will see me in court. I'm ending this once and for all." "Wow! Such a strong answer from the man of the hour himself, and such a bold one too! This is Osekkaina Yuki signing off."

The news reporter lady had already gone off the air and left the room and after she left everyone cheered for Izuku. An hour later after everyone except Katsuki went home he asked Izuku:

"So, what will you do now?"
