Drunk Duo [Kaiyu & Tatiana]

In a pub in Palpebra, a blonde adventurer just made an impressive entrance. Upon opening the door, she started falling but quickly caught herself, used one hand to launch herself, and then cleanly sat on one of the stools.

"Impressive skills there, Tati," a monk complimented.

Beside the stool she sat on, the familiar face of Kaiyu greeted her. The two women both lived rent-free in Starview, a village ran by two loveable children.

The two had met before in Starview but didn't talk much. They were usually still recovering from their drunken stupor.

"Hey there, Ms. Monk! Didn't know you visited here."

"Bahaha! 'Course, I've seen you here quite often— Though you usually leave before payin'."

The blonde froze at her comment. Looking back at the barkeep, he gave her a glare.

"Hehe, I've changed though! Trust me, my tab's even cleared."

"Did Light or little ol' Alk pay for you?"

"Light did. Alk's a bit... I try to hide my bar escapades from him."

"Ha, you're such a worrywart. Don'cha worry, Alk's not gonna pick up a bottle anytime soon."

"Think so?"

"I know so!"

After that, the two spent a lot of time chatting to each other. A lot of time and a lot of money.

They talked all about the so called "youngins" of Starview. It was actually quite a shock for the both of them at first, seeing so many teenagers adventuring. Less so for Tatiana.

The two had a lot to say about Alk and Stella though. They'd heard from the both of them that they were stuck there for a time. The two drunkards gave a suggestive grin when Tatiana asked, "What do you think—hic—they did for so long...?"

But after they finished their gossiping—and the insides of their wallet—both of them started heading home, completely drunk.

Slinging their arm around each other's shoulder, the drunken duo mistakenly make their way to an alleyway.

There, they were greeted by a group of not so friendly men.

"Would you look at that... Two drunks, easy picking!" the big man announced.

"W—Would'cha quiet down?! Sheesh, so damn noisy!" Kaiyu yelled.

"Yeah! Get the hell outta the way!" Tatiana added.

Walking towards them, the big man crouched and held Kaiyu by the shoulder, "You messin' with us?"

Instead of responding, Kaiyu instead threw her hat towards him. As he removed it, the butt end of her staff collided with his face, knocking him out.

"Boss?! Grrr—GET THESE BROADS!" one of them ordered.

"Argh... So damn noisy," Tatiana commented as she pulled out her knife. Throwing it straight past one of the men, she pulled it back with her string making the hilt hit the man.

The both of them then seperated from each other. Kaiyu started spinning her around, intimidating the enemies. In truth, she was just too drunk to tell she wasn't hitting anyone.

But nonetheless, one by one, the men charged at her. The first was immediately knocked out with a kick.

Another charged at her which she simply sidestepped and tripped, followed quickly with a staff strike. The last one pulled out a knife from his pockets, Kaiyu was too tired to care though.

Throwing her staff to the ground, she started interlocking her arms with the man's opening. After disarming him, she tightened her lock, pushed him to the ground, and hit him with multiple palm strikes.

Tatiana on the other hand, four men immediately charged her. The moment they were about to hit her, she ducked, knocked them down on their behind with a sweep, pulled out her knife, and quickly hit all of them over the head with the hilt.

And so, there in that alleyway, lied nine unconcious bodies.

"Hey, Kaiyu... I'm kinda tired."

"Same here, hunny!"

And without even agreeing, the count of unconcious bodies in that alleyway rose to 11.

Adventurers cleaned up the scene shortly after, returning Kaiyu and Tatiana in the capable hands of Pur Lilie.

Light was not happy when he saw their state.
