Eid

May 2nd

The day started unlike any of the previous days. The sole reason was that it was no longer Ramadhan and the whole family had to prepare for Eid prayers.

So, we did, but we still woke at Fajr. This was because the Eid prayers start early, which made it we had to get up early just to get ready.

Then it was time, time for the Eid prayer to start. We prayed Eid at the local mosque, which I had previously mentioned.

After the prayer, we went back to the house and apologized. Apologizing to each other if they had wronged the other in the past. We had also taken family pictures, to commemorate.

One of the traditions is that younger members of the family were given money. This money was usually given by their uncles and aunties.

Though after everything, the house was quiet. Not in the sense that there were no noises made. But rather, nothing much had happened.

The only other thing that was noticeable about this day was that we visited my grandfather's grave. Some members walked since it was near. While others accompanied grandmother in the car that dad drove.

When we visited grandfather's grave, we had to sort of hike. His grave was located atop a hill. It was an arduous journ- No I'm kidding, it was just a small hill. We prayed when we were by grandfather's grave.

Before we returned, I and the kids, along with one of my aunt, dad, and grandma went to the supermarket.

Then we entered. The only thing noticeable thing they bought, to me, were ice-creams. Of course, it was a common food among children.

After we were all done buying what we wanted, whether it was an impulse or planned. But then, my dad had offered to go on a little detour. By majority decision, it was agreed upon.

So, the snacks that I intended to gnash upon at home, I ate in the car. The little ones had also done the same. Where we went, is the same place I had mentioned before in chapter two.

Only this time it was late in the afternoon, rather than midday. Since I sat in the front seat this time, I enjoyed it more than the previous time. The sunset by the sea made it even better.

It was further enhanced by not being in possession of my phone. Yet, it was not a long-lasting moment of happiness. Because I fell asleep :P

By the moment I woke up, we were already back at my grandmother's place, where my mom was. When I thought it was going to be all for the day, my aunt and uncle came.

They came bringing joy. Though the joy was in the form of seashells. So, at 21:00 we had something like a feast, a feast with seashells. And I reckon we finished a bucket of it in less than ten minutes.

It is quite unfortunate to me that there are less and less of my current daily life that I can write out. But we have plans to go to the beach tomorrow afternoon. So that should be a feast for me.
