Departure

May 4th

Today was a sad day for us, one cousin grieved for her loss. Yes, one family had left us. They had gone back to their original home, away from us.

Though I'm positive one of their reasons is that the week-long national holiday was near its due. Hence it made sense to come back to their home.

Their departure commenced at the dawn of the 4th of May. It was accompanied by farewells and prayers for their safety. Then we took photos to commemorate their stay.

After we said our farewells, we headed back inside the house. Inside, some of our drowsy members had requested breakfast.

Then when I had my fill, my drowsiness got the best of me. Slowly moved back to the bedroom, laid me atop the bed, then slept for some time.

When I woke up, the house was in the same state as it was a few days prior. That was the state of dead silence, not a single noise could be heard.

A cousin had lost their playmate. They were back to playing alone on their phone. It was truly a saddening sight to witness.

Then the same thing as yesterday had happened. My parents offered me the chance to go with them to the market.

I had no reason to refuse. This was because I needed the materials to write this chapter. On the other hand, I had accepted because my aunt and uncle had left earlier in the morning. With that, I put on my mask and my hoodie.

So, in the end, me, my parents, and my aunt got into the car and headed towards the market. The market was very hectic. I even stumbled and nearly fell down on the dirty floor.

Then the afternoon came, the youngest in the house had woken up from their deep slumber. It was the beginning of chaos.

Though the four-year-old had just woken up, it did not hinder them from running and playing around. They got in the bedroom to play with me, so I responded in kind by playing with them for a while.

When they were done… …I… …did not do anything productive for the day. Not even writing for my two novels, I've just spent my day reading.

Then the night came, and I ate my dinner. My dinner consisted of chicken from the thigh down. I ate as I watched "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory".

There were a couple of guests that had come so my dad and grandmother went to the guest room to entertain them.

But seriously, nothing much had happened today. The only noticeable thing that had happened was this morning. Afterward, it was the same as every day I spent here.

Though my dad did mention that our family was going to go to our next destination after breakfast was eaten. In response to that, my mother threw all our laundries and washed them in the washing machine.

Alas, my two arms were still red but not as red as they were yesterday. On that note, sorry for the short chapter. Please await tomorrow's chapter, where I'll be on a four-hour journey. At least on paper.
