Chunin Exams (4)

" Congratulations to the seventy-eight of you that remain on passing the first test." Ibiki says with a smile showing a completely different side than before.

Shocking the remaining genin in the room into silence.

" Huh? We passed? What about the tenth question?" Sakura asked.

" There never wasn't one, the choices presented to you before were the tenth question you could say, as for the first nine they were simply to test your information gathering abilities." Says Ibiki.

" There were even chunin planted in the classroom who knew all the answers, for you to chest from." Ibiki says.

" I'm sure some of you still don't get it, the test was encouraging you to cheat, we were sure you would conclude ' I can't pass if I don't cheat' and you all did." Ibiki said while he untied the black bandana on his head and pulled it off.

" There are times when information is more important than life and on missions and on the battlefield people will do anything to get their hands on it." He says.

' Those are burns, screw holes, and cuts covering most of his head, mostly likely from torture.' Shikamaru thinks looking at Ibiki's revealed head.

While Shikamaru was doing it so was everyone else in the classroom, some were scared while others vowed never to be caught by enemies, and of course, some didn't care.

" As shinobi, you must remember that information can be very useful for your comrades and the village." Ibiki says.

" But that still doesn't explain the last question." A blonde-haired genin from the hidden sand says while standing up.

" As a ninja, you often have to make decisions whether to risk your life to complete a mission if you don't even dare to choose between the two choices given before how will you perform when given one that could lead to your death?" Ibiki asked.

" To put simply, it was all about will and courage, a shinobi must be courageous and have the ability to survive hardships. "

BAM!!!!

As Ibiki finished speaking a shadow slammed into the class window breaking it as a woman appeared in front of Ibiki.

" This is no time to be celebrating, I am the examiner for the second test Mitarashi Anko."

"Tch, 78 genin Ibiki the test this time was too easy you left twenty-six teams?"

" There are some outstanding ones this year."

" It doesn't matter when I'm done with them I'll be sure to cut them in half." Anko says with a smile.

" I'm getting excited, you lot follow me. I'll explain the exam after we switch places." She says as she turns and leaves with all the genin following behind her.

( Minutes later)

Ibiki was now walking around the classroom picking up the test papers until he stopped at Shikamaru's paper.

"Interesting, this kid figured out everything down to the purpose of the final question. I didn't see him writing after or during the time I was explaining everything, that can only mean he figured out before." Ibiki says glancing at the name on the exam paper.

" Shikamaru Nara, the Nara is known to be very intelligent but this from a kid out of the academy for less than a year is very impressive, last I heard the Ino-Shika-Cho of this generation are students of Daiki. "

Ibiki continued until he reached Naruto's paper.

" Someone got through without answering a single question, Naruto Uzumaki interesting." He says and continues.

She had brought the student to the place where the second stage would be held, and it was a forest filled with gigantic trees that were barred off by a very tall fence.

The gate was filled with over seven locks and there was a sign marked danger placed on the fence.

All this together with Anko's previous statement had made the more weak-hearted genin a little afraid.

" Welcome to the stage of the second exam, the forest of death.". Anko says smiling ear to ear.

" I'm sure you kids will soon find out why it's called the Forest of Death."

" You think that scares me? That's nothing I'm not afraid of anything!" Naruto shouts.

" You're very spirited." Anko says as she quickly throws a kunai before Naruto can react and disappears.

" Kids like you are killed quickly." She whispers into Naruto's eyes as she appears behind him with her hand on his right cheek as she licks the blood dripping from the cut on his face caused by the kunai she threw.

" Ah, the blood I love." Anko says.

Anko then quickly pulls out another Kunai as a genin taking the exam wearing a straw hat appears behind her his extra long tongue wrapped around the a kunai.

" Here is your Kunai, I'm returning it." The genin says.

" Why thank you, but next time don't sneak up behind me unless you want to die." Anko says as she takes the kunai and walks away.

" I just got excited when I saw the blood, plus you cut my hair." The genin responded as he turned to walk away.

" Sorry about that, looks like we have a lot of bloodthirsty ones this time this should be fun."

" Alright, before I explain the second exam I need to pass these out, you all must sign these agreement forms." She says smiling once again.

The genin looked confused, and as she expected this Anko continued.

" There will be death in the second stage, if you don't sign these it will be my responsibility."

" I'll explain the second test then you can sign it and check in at that booth behind me." She says pointing to the booth that has two shinobi sitting in it.

" In the second exam you will attempt the ultimate survival test, first I'll explain the area in which it takes place. Around practice arena forty-four there are forty-four locked gates forest, rivers, and a tower in the center from the gates to the tower is about ten kilometers."

" During your survival, you will be asked to complete a task using your weapons and jutsu you will compete in a no-rules scroll battle."
