Antichrist

**Antichrist**

Ethan stood frozen, struggling to grasp the surreal scenario before him. "This must be a dream; this cannot be happening," he whispered, fixated on the figure before him. Whether devil or Lucifer, the distinction now seemed inconsequential.

Questions swirled in his mind, yet clarity remained out of reach. The approach of Lucifer only amplified his unease.

"Do you question the reality of your situation?" Lucifer's voice reverberated in the unsettling quiet.

Ethan tried to find his footing, bewildered by the bewildering circumstances that led him here.

"Why have you brought me here? What do you want from me? Why choose me as your beloved?" His questions lingered in the air, unanswered.

Lucifer's laugh, cold and haunting, filled the room, causing Ethan to shiver. Stepping closer, Lucifer regarded him with a piercing look.

"God aims to save, but my mission is destruction, particularly of His favored. She must be stopped, and you, Ethan, have been chosen for this purpose."

The revelation left Ethan more perplexed. The idea of being chosen for such a dark purpose overwhelmed him.

"How am I involved? Can't you handle this on your own?" Ethan's voice shook with fear.

Laughter echoed once more, a ghastly sound that rattled Ethan to his core.

"I wouldn't seek a beloved if I could do it alone. Just as God has His angels, I too have my chosen, my antichrist."

Ethan staggered back, horrified at the thought. Why him? What made him the chosen one?

"I can't embody such malevolence. I've never harbored such intentions," he murmured, his voice frail.

Lucifer's laughter grew, a sinister force that seemed to crush Ethan's spirit. Drawing nearer, Lucifer's stare penetrated Ethan, making him feel utterly exposed.

"You have always been my cherished one, ever since you were a child. I have been patiently waiting for the perfect moment to reach out to you. I was held back when your mother shielded you with taht cross, keeping us apart. But now, the moment has come for me to be with you and guide you away from the Divine. The day you began to question Him, I knew I could finally connect with you, my beloved, and now, there is nothing to fear."

Ethan stood there, speechless and uncertain. Was he truly destined to be in league with the fallen one? Was he meant to be an instrument of chaos, designed to bring about the downfall of humanity?

Suddenly, the door swung open, and Ethan turned to see the woman who claimed to be his mother entering the room.

"I'm glad you're ready. If not, I would have had to come and help you get dressed myself. Let's hurry downstairs; we're running late," she said briskly before leaving the room.

Ethan gazed at his reflection and realized that he was already attired differently. Turning around, he saw that Lucifer had vanished.

Stepping out of the room, Ethan encountered a man and the woman, along with a girl standing beside a large, black object resembling a carriage. Approaching them, he heard the lady speak.

"You look wonderful today. I imagine you are looking forward to attending church."

Ethan's heart raced as he gazed at the mysterious woman standing next to the man. Should he inquire about her identity or simply maintain his silence, unsure of what to say?

"Come on, my dear boy, hop into the car," the man urged. "Pay no mind to your sister's words. Your enthusiasm for going to church today is wonderful, and I assure you, it will be a day filled with blessings."

Ethan observed as they all entered the carriage, which they referred to as a car. Uncertain of their intentions and whether he should join them, he hesitated.

"Come now, son, don't linger as if it's your first time boarding a car," the man encouraged.

Without a word, Ethan complied and settled into the car, a chill running down his spine as he observed the seemingly ordinary behavior of his companions.

As the car rumbled on, it eventually came to a halt, and Ethan alighted, only to find a grand edifice looming before them. Was this the church they had mentioned? Ethan couldn't help but wonder why it appeared so imposing and unfamiliar, a sense of unease creeping over him.

Accompanied by his newfound family, Ethan entered the church, each step causing him a deep sense of discomfort. He paused, casting one final glance at the imposing structure.

"Ethan, what's the matter? Come along, we don't have all day," his mother urged.

Ethan stood still, turning around to behold Lucifer standing in the distance, a sinister smile playing on his lips. Before Ethan could react, Lucifer vanished into thin air.

Turning back to his mother, Ethan found her gazing at him intently. Stepping back, he felt the pain dissipate.

"Ethan, what in the world are you up to?" she inquired, her voice tinged with concern.

He retreated, convincing himself that it was all a figment of his imagination, a surreal illusion that would dissipate if he simply closed his eyes and reopened them in the comfort of his own home.

In that moment, he accidentally collided with a woman. As he began to offer an apology, his words froze in his throat when the woman raised her trembling hands and pointed directly at him.

"He's the one," she proclaimed in terror, edging away. "The harbinger of our destruction. The antichrist has arrived, the prophecy fulfilled."

Frozen in place, he watched as the woman fled in panic, then turned to where Lucifer had stood, a haunting smile etched on his face. Before Ethan could react, Lucifer vanished into thin air.

"Foolish Devil!" he exclaimed, frustration and anger welling up within him. Perplexed and alarmed by the unfolding events, he resolved to find a way to escape this bewildering situation.

"This is all a facade, a mere illusion," he muttered, clasping his hands over his ears in a desperate attempt to block out the unsettling chaos around him. This was all a dream.
