Chapter 39: Rain of Blood Part Two
Tomiyama Nana raged through the rain-drenched streets, weaving her way through stairwells until she finally burst onto the rooftop. The drain was clogged with trash, leaving the rooftop flooded with rainwater. In the gloomy night, raindrops fell chaotically, blurring the reflections of the neon lights and involuntarily making her think of that cold, icy lake surface.
"She's over there!"
Lost in thought, Nana was suddenly startled awake by a shriek from behind. She bolted towards the edge of the roof, intending to run and jump to the footbridge on the other side but stopped dead in her tracks at the rooftop's edge.
Because there were already two motorcyclists on the opposite roof waiting for her.
Damn, Hacker had located her.
