Chapter 27 - Ragnarock : Fight of the Valkyries

Genevieve McTaggart's Griffin flies lead with many of her former customers following. Men & women from around the globe flying Dragons, Pegasus, & Griffins, descended through the clouds behind her. 5 million of the former Aquins had become Avians, with wings strong enough to carry their newly minted armor laden bodies. All of them also carried their weapons of choice & a belt of simply fashioned sacks. So many warriors soared down, that a complete shadow was cast over the whole of Vatican City.

As above, so below. Horde after horde of battle ready transhuman marines made safe the shores. As Vertical Take Off & Landing(VTOL) Aircraft descended to drop more & more land based warriors for LUCII4. With them came a familiar colored green & orange VTOL, piloted by DJ Seering & Chadash, MUSE. Next to them, another VTOL lands with a roar, piloted by Funfetti & Vedren. The cyber lion pounces from the back of the craft with other feline transhuman warriors following from both VTOLs.

Once empty, the cockpits flip downwards and both vehicles transform into a 30 foot high Mechs. Seering & Chadash in one & Vedren with Funfetti at the hearts of these near three story high metal giants. "Care to set the tone MUSE?" asks Funfetti, over communications.

Flipping out speakers from it's shoulders & calf's, MUSE begins with a remix of Johnny Cash's Hurt featuring Biggie & 2Pac. Light guitar strumming to start, deep voices spit old truths. As they blast into action, MUSE launches his attacks as if he was dancing into the fray. The few paladins who dare get near him, fail in their melee. At the end of the song, MUSE reminds Seering of what they have now become. Soldiers. Killers. Murders for a cause. Tears stream down Seerings face.

Though he continues on, music changing, synthetic rhythms, somber piano tones & an angelic voice begin to sing. Kate Bush sings from MUSE with a hail of bullets and missiles. The actions sync with the music around them:

"It doesn't hurt me."

MUSE takes a hit from a paladin in the leg.

"Do you want to feel how it feels?"

Muse kicks the armored man through a building at the bottom of the mound.

"Do you want to know, know that it doesn't hurt me?"

Punching away 2 other paladins

"Do you want to hear about the deal that I'm making?

You, It's you and me." 6 more Paladins stream in & are knocked away with a roundhouse kick.

"And if I only could, I'd make a deal with God,

And I'd get him to swap our places,"

MUSE & Seering look to the Sancta Sedes from the lowest point. Thousands of Paladins between. They charge upwards. Chadash kisses Seering for luck.

"Be running up that road, Be running up that hill,

Darkness & wings flapping almost drown out the music.

"You don't want to hurt me, But see how deep the bullet lies.

Unaware, I'm tearing you asunder. Ooh, There is thunder in our hearts. " Dozens of crusaders overwhelm MUSE. Seerings cockpit window cracks with a prayer smash.

"Is there so much hate for the ones who love?

Tell me we both matter don't we?"

Genevieve McTaggart's Griffin crashes into one of them. 5 Dragon riders rip off another 7 paladins from MUSE & begin tussling with them.

(MUSE Mixing, the song changes to Tori Amos)

The paladins who were just on MUSE that fast are fighting for their lives as Genevieve's forces start trouncing them.

"You make pretty daisies, pretty daisies love I gotta find find find what you're doing about things here?"

A Transhuman Dryad is caught by an armed guard. Dancing around his shooting at her, she sprinkles nanites on him, which turn him into a tree. She dances into the Papal Palace, juicy sweetness dribbles down her chin as she bites into plucked fruit from the once guard, now tree.

"A few witches burning gets a little toasty here"

Transhumanism begins exploding from paladins firing darts like tommy guns.

"I gotta find find find find, why do you always go when the wind blows?" LUCII downloads soul after soul as biology splatters, showers the raging paladins.

Muse makes it to the top & bursts through the front doors of the Sancta Sedes.

"Tell me you're crazy maybe then I'll understand. You got your 9 iron in the back seat, just in case" The pope in his armor, paces in the throne chambers.

"Heard you've gone south, well, baby, you love your new 4 wheel I gotta find find find, why you always go when the wind blows?" The room before the pope's throne is filled with a 100 nuns & Ramirez's 4 flailing tentacles.

"Give not thy strength unto women Nor thy ways to them which destroyeth kings" The pope thinks of LUCII4 & himself.

"Will you even tell her If you decide to make the sky fall?"

Funfetti's Mecca & MUSE enter the Inquisitors Hall, grabbing at the ceiling, opening a huge hole & bringing debris down on the nuns.

Nuns that survived, stumble about as an avalanche of Avians swoop in, carrying out nuns one by one.

Vedren & Funfetti drop out of their mecca's thigh compartments as MUSE rips the armor & tentacles from the inquisitor. & drops him before the 2 people.

"Do you need a woman to look after you?"

Vedren dumps out of a sack, glittering nanites which fall over Rameriz begin to sink into his skin.

"God, sometimes you just don't come through. Do you need a woman to look after you? God, sometimes you just don't come through" The nanites enter him as he tries to brush & shake them off. Chadash dances around him playfully. He begins to blush, fall to his knees. Vedren walks behind him & pulls his hair back close to her face, as he orgasims from the nanites swimming in his brain, & activating the appropriate nerve centers. As he cums in his pants, she whispers, "Was it good for you?" as Dopamine & Serotonin overproduction make him pass out.

(Kate Bush mixing back from the other side of the hall)

Seering & Chadash smile at each other after dropping out of MUSE.

They enter the pope's throne room.

The pope runs towards a wall & sprints up it, & over towards them. Swinging wildly he misses & smashes the wall behind them apart. As Chadash dives away, she keeps rolling.

"You, It's you and me, It's you and me who won't be unhappy."

Seering hits the pope's armor & the mini EMP sends him to the floor.

"Come on baby, come on darling Let me steal this moment from you now" Chadash walks over & stands above the pope.

"Oh come on angel, come on come on darlin'

Let's exchange the experience oh..." She leans in and whispers, that she was the Archangel Michael. His eyes widened.

Taking more nanites out of another bag, Chadash then explained, her mother was Joy, as she smashes a load of blue ones into his face and rubs them in, with her palm, forcefully!

Deep in his brain, the nanites begin to repair the damage, while his soul is sent to Lucidity.

He stands before LUCII4, sitting in her digital realm. He falls onto her, with his head on her lap, & cries. She strokes his hair as he sobs, genuinely for his many transgressions.

"Say, If I only could... Oh... Be running up that hill, With no problems..."

People all over the world are healed in the same way.

"If only I could, Be running up that hill..."

From space, the lights could be seen turning back on, in the EMP blackout regions.
