Digit-less

"Zan'nen. You Mox have made a dire mistake in coming here, but I am a merciful man. Surrender now and I will allow you to live and not bring another force to that whorehouse you claim as home." a man, presumably Oyakawa Yoshi, states over the intercom.

"Oh, really?" Rebecca exclaims towards a nearby camera, "That's a very generous offer! Here's our answer!" she raises Guts and blasts both the camera, along with part of the wall into dust. "Fucking douchebag."

"Well, let's hope we don't lose then." Ori utters.

"Hmph! As if we'd get beat by these furry ass holes!" she remarks as she steps forwards into the hallway. A dozen doors lined the wall on the left, but none of them was sure if that was where they were supposed to be going.

They check them regardless, as the prisoners could be being held anywhere... Most had nothing of interest inside however, storage rooms, stripped clean offices... They did find a group of passed-out Tyger Claws who'd presumably gotten too high and drunk during a poker game.

Rebecca, in all her sadistic wisdom tied the group together along with a grenade, meaning once they woke up and tried to separate they'd join their friends in hell. Not something Ori would've done but she seemed to think it was justified. Oh, she also stole their cred chips from the table, as if to add further insult to injury.

After that they ran into a few more Tyger Claws that'd been separated from the battle Crystal was waging. They spotted the stairs leading both to the basement and the second floor, but were abruptly interrupted by the sound of something in the vents above them... A blur of speed that Ori's eyes couldn't track later and someone appeared in front of them.

*CLANG!*

Six stuck his arm out before anyone could react, saving Rebecca from having her head split in two by a tanto-like weapon. Unfortunately, the woman wasn't only using one... Rebecca tried to shift away, along the tanto to skid and scratch Guts' barrel, but it still struck true.

*SCHK!*

"AAAHHHHGH!" Rebecca screams as she drops guts, her four fingers on her right hand falling to the ground, leaving only her thumb still connected.

*Bang! Bang!*

*Thud!*

Six tries to retaliate by firing some shots at the attacker, but she kicks off Rebecca's chest and flips through the air, dodging the projectiles. Ori catches his bleeding friend and sends a baleful glare at the woman.

"Omae wa mō shinde iru." she states, flinging both of her tanto at Six before bursting into motion again, her hand dropping to her katana.

Six shoots one out of the air while slapping another to the side with her other revolver. He fires another shot at Manaka, she deflects one with her blade but takes two to her chest... Unfortunately, her subdermal armour prevented any major damage from being done.

Ori raises his LMG and fires a spray at her, but she slides to the left which brought Six's body in the way, preventing him from continuing without incurring friendly fire.

"Kill that fucking bitch!" Rebecca growls, stepping back from the fight while cupping her mutilated hand. There was no way in hell she could fire Guts with only a single hand.

Ori tosses her his pistol just as Manaka reaches Six. She slashes at his mouth, the only visible part of his face, but he blocks it by bringing both arms up, allowing the blade to dig into his Cybernetically enhanced forearms.

"Yowai! You face a woman and still lose in strength!" Manaka growls as she strains against Six.

"You're... A woman?" Six grunts in a vain attempt to taunt her, this only brings an eager grin to her lips however.

Ori steps forwards as this happens, firing a shot into the Tyger's side, she grimaces slightly and turns her eyes to him, causing him to freeze as a feeling of dread overtakes him.

His eyes widen as his arms raise the LMG in front of him, just in time to block the bisecting slash of Manaka... What the fuck!? She just vanished and reappeared to attack him!?

"Sandevistan!" Six exclaims, unloading the rest of his bullets at the woman as she easily dodges them as her form blurs.

"The fuck is a sandevistan!?" Ori retorts, unleashing the full force of his weapon down the hallway, forcing the woman to retreat, kicking off of the wall and sprinting up the stairs.

"Who cares! That bitch cut my fucking fingers off!" Rebecca shouts, gesticulating her pistol at the digits on the floor.

"Military-tier Cyberware, makes the user incredibly fast for a few seconds." Six states as Ori picks up and pockets Rebecca's severed fingers.

"Super speed?" he questions, baffled. "Why doesn't everyone have one of those then!?"

"Ugh... 'Cuz most people who use 'em go psycho not long after." Rebecca explains, "That bitches muscles are probably torn to shreds right now."

"After only, like, two uses!?"

"That's if she's lucky... Now come on! Let's kill her and go, maybe we can get my shit reattached." she ushers them on, after wrapping a bandage tightly around her stump-like hand.

"Don't you wanna go now? Leave it any longer and-"

"We've still got a job to do, my shit can wait!" Rebecca states, unwilling to leave now.

"Fuck 'Becca, this is serious!" he exclaims as he feels blood drip from his pocket and down his leg, her severed digits leaking warm fluids.

She jabs her pistol at him, "And I'm serious! We ain't leavin'!" she states, stomping up the stairs with Six beside her.

"This is fucking crazy..." he mutters as he follows, having no idea what Rebecca was thinking. If he were in her state he'd be a lot more worried, even if the nanites could potentially grow him some new digits...

He does make sure to sling Guts over his shoulder, as pissed off as Rebecca is, she'd be more so later if they accidentally left it behind.
