"So let me get this straight... You left your place because your sis, that we saved, decided she likes Mr Rapey better and doesn't want to kill him...?" Rebecca says, a baffled look on her face as she sits on her bed.

He shrugs, "Sounds about right." he grumbles, sighing to himself. "I don't get what's going through her head."

"His dick, probably..." she chuckles nervously as he glares at her, "Sorry, too soon..."

"Very." he dryly responds.

"Well, the way I see it, you've got three options from here on out. First is to just ignore her, let her decision bite her in the ass. Second is to kill that schmuck and make it up to her when she starts hating you..."

"And third?"

"Wait and see what happens, who knows, maybe her boyfriend actually changed? 'Slong as he doesn't kill her, you can always say 'I told you so' when yo rescue her again." she grins.

...

"What would you do if this was your brother in this situation?"

"Him?" she snickers, "I pity the insane chick that finds him attractive enough to attack."

"Imagine he was a girl for a minute..."

"Hmm... I'm not sure. Not much I could do, thinking about it. He-she's has his-her life, they can make their own decisions, even shitty ones. If you care enough you can pick up the pieces once the dust settles."

"Yeah... I guess you're right." he reluctantly admits.

"Don't get me wrong though, if this was Pilar I'd laugh at him the entire time, douchebag." she laughs.

"Fuck off!" Pilar shouts from behind the barrier halving the room. "You're lucky I'm letting that asshole stay here, talking shit about me is fine, but you're out the moment you two start fucking!"

"See? Complete douchebag." Rebecca smirks.

"I'm not gonna talk shit about him now that he's not being an asshole for once." Ori shakes his head, "So, about this date..."

"I'm guessing you got nothin' planned. Your sister being an idiot and all."

He nods, "Any ideas?"

"Well, we can go window shopping for apartments. I kinda feel like dancing too, maybe some drinking..."

"You just wanna go to a nightclub, don't you..." Ori drawls, knowing her well enough at this point.

"No-duh!"

"Fine, once we're done looking at places we'll head down to a club... Lizzie's Bar ain't an option, I'm guessing?"

"Obviously, I can't relax at that place, if it ain't Susie tryin'a crawl up my ass it's someone else I accidentally maimed!"

"Sure, 'Accidentally'."

"Not you too!"

-----------------------

Ori and Rebecca proceed to stroll through the main street of Kabuki, looking at various real estate offices. Unfortunately, the couple in that sub-district only had access to crappy ones on the border of Maelstrom territory, definitely not somewhere Ori or Rebecca wanted.

They then drove to Little China, the bustling area providing far more options. Since the area was generally not under anyone's control due to the presence of the NCPD headquarters, it was far 'friendlier' than most other places. That didn't mean you could let your guard down however, as Ori and Bats had learned last time they were there.

"Hey, check it a place on the fifth floor in H10, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, big enough-looking main." Rebecca points out as she spots it through the scrolling advert board.

"I'm not too keen on staying in a Megabuilding..." he admits.

"Why not? It'd probably be safer than where you were staying. Those place's have to have security with how many people live there."

"Security is half the reason. I don't want to get stopped coming home covered in blood... Plus, they'd have to ID my car if I wanted to keep it parked there." he retorts.

She snorts, "You do know there are ways around that, right? Pay the guys manning the cams some Eddies every month and they'll leave you alone. No questions asked."

"Where'd you hear that?"

Rebecca shrugs, "Lotsa places, Mox girls aren't exactly rich enough to get a nice place outside a Megabuilding. They are, after all, basically multistory slums."

"How much then... Bats and I were paying three thousand a month."

"Two thousand, not bad considering it's around the same size as your last place."

"Hm... Alright, count me interested."

"Alright! There, I've got the detes, now let's party!" she exclaims.

"You know I'm trash at dancing right." he says as she drags him along, presumably to her favourite club. He could dance, and if he wanted to the nanites could help him with it as they did fighting, but that kinda seemed like a waste...

"You can always learn!" she dismisses.

----------------------

"Is this a gay bar...?" Ori quietly asks her as they step into the brightly coloured club, pounding music that sent shudders through his entire body, as if he'd been placed inside a giant vibrator...

"Eh? Maybe? Alls I know is they got the best drinks! The music ain't too bad either!" she shouts over the music.

"It's called 'Alternative Pride'... There's a fucking guy in a thong dancing in cage up there!"

"So what? It's not like you're here to pick up girls, why would you care? We're here together, so unless you got something against the benders, get over yourself." she states, dragging him to the bar. Obviously, he had no reasonable argument to dispute her...

After they get some drinks in them, the duo join the others on the floor, Ori's awkward dancing didn't really matter in the face of all the grinding Rebecca was doing against him. No one cared about how his arms were moving when his hands were caressing her thighs after all.

There were a couple incidents where some guys tried to grab Ori's ass, but a stern talking to(Translated, being cussed out), set things 'straight'. With that, the night continued on great... Almost...

It was an hour past midnight when Ori and Rebecca were beginning to settle down, the alcohol making them far more tired and frisky than usual. They'd been resting in a nearby booth when someone approached...
