Chapter 6

"I'm a mistake".

"What"

"I know. I get it. I was actually born a mistake. My - father - a scientist, got married to Samantha Wilson, Ryan's mother, few years before my mother came along.

Samantha, unfortunately had seizure to which she lost her life to. Before she died, she requested for her last wish to be fulfilled, that her baby, Ryan, has a mother who will not leave him, always love and understand him.

But dad didn't want to marry again and he knew he had to fulfill his beloved wife's promise.

At that time, uncle Lucas was still alive and he fed dad with a then fabulous idea. I say crazy idea.

BUILD A WIFE

Loving the idea, dad turned the party upside down.

Six months after so many futile attempts, dad came up with mom, a very beautiful learning device, he called Octavia.

Octavia has the body of a human. A dead one. Well, a not very dead human. Whose skin was almost white as snow, hair long as falls. She's endowed with everything a woman is proud to have. She looked like perfection.

Octavia became dad's friend, wife, sex partner and lab partner. Dad loved experimenting. Of course, he's a scientist.

As it happened, dad was figuring out a hormone and a chemical, till date no one has found out, got mixed in the lab.

Mom's body absorbed it.

A year later,a weird child came up.

Oops, that's me.

When I cry my eyes' colour change to ocean blue. When I'm angry, it turn light purple. When I'm happy, it way lighter than usual"

Oh, Oh, I feel bad

" I brought up ugly past, right", I said remorsefully.

MISS SAWYER

" I brought up ugly past, right", Ocean said somewhat apologetically.

" Yeah".

I didn't tell her about my pearl -like tears or why I'm known as half- cast or why I'm hated by my 'family '

"Change of subject. How did you get here. I thought you were having class"

Should I be glad that she's a little better or should I be glad that she's a pro at calming down.

Placing the almost melted ice in my long hair, I answered, "I was sent to follow Shruti Khanna to the hospital center"

"And you lost your way..."

" Calm down, Riverdale. I'll help you deal with Campbell and you'll tell no- one what I told you"

" Deal", she replied bubbly, " let's get you to class"

" See you later, then"

Suppressing my emotions, I went to my seat.

*★*. *★*. **★**. 

MASTER CADE FORD

"Alright, see you later, Mei-mei", I call out as her short hair bounces as she walks.

"Cade. We need to talk", Cole said.

"About what exactly", I replied scrolling through my phone.

" Feng Mei is bad news".

" What do you mean"

"Cade, you don't understand. I know you've always had a thing for Asians. But Feng Mei is bad news, I heard.."

" Change of topic and quick", I told him coldly.

Sighing, he continued, " where's Ocean"

"And I would know that, how"

Rolling his eyes, he continued, " I left Ocean and Feng Mei with you. I don't actually care about Feng Mei, but I've seen her with you. So where's Ocean".

" I don't know"

I can't believe him

" What's your deal, bro"

" Nothing", I said, " has Miss Sawyer agreed to help us"

" Yes. But on one condition"

" And that is..."

" She's the leader and she said something about obedience being key"

Surprised, I asked, " and Orion agreed"

" Yeah. He'll do anything to pass this project and..."

" And what.."

" And to piss Miss Sawyer off"

Smiling, I looked forward and said with furrowed brows,"speak of the devils, you were talking about"

Cole let out a small laugh as we watched them approach us.

"Do you think Orion likes her", Cole asked.

"No, he possibly can't. He just wants to get under her skin. He finally found the girl who is not head over heels in love with him. So he wants to get on her nerves".

" I tried my best"

" Why didn't you tell your brother", a calm voice said

" He said if I did, Orion won't believe me. And I thought about it. I discovered he was actually right", the overly familiar angelic voice said.

" And why would you say that. Isn't he your brother", the calm voice that now had a tinge of anger said.

" He is. And he is also Orion Riverdale. A spoilt ambivert"

" We'll talk later. I've got to see Mr. Shawn. Bye, Master Fords", Ramona said and turned away.

" Wait up, Miss Sawyer", Cole said as he walked towards her and whispered something to her.

"Let's go"

Ramona and Cole left, leaving Ocean and I alone.

"Want to go for a walk", I asked as Ocean shook her head.

What. I just asked Ocean if she wanted to go for a walk. And she Refused.

"Seriously, Ocean. I just asked you if you wanted to go for a walk, together".

" And I'm saying no"

" Ocean, two of us, alone, together"

"I said no. What part of no, don't you understand", she said in rage. Well, almost in rage.

" Ocean. Ocean. Ocean. Are you okay", I called out to her as she walked away. She looked troubled when she glanced at me before she rolled her eyes.

"Ocean", I said running after her.

"Cade. Cole. Which one are you", the sweet voice of Feng Mei rang through.

" Mei-mei", I said as I stopped.

"Master Ford. I'm sorry. I called you by your name. I'm really sorry", she said fluttering her eyelashes.

She's really cute.

MISS FENG

"I'm really sorry", I said trying to act cute.

"It's no biggie"

" Master Ford, why were you running", I asked glaring in the direction Ocean ran to.

"Actually, Ocean doesn't seem well. But she'll be fine", he said look at me lovingly.

Cade has no clue what he is into. Cole Ford is a little bit stubborn.And me like it. Cade may actually like Ocean quite a lot.

But I'm here. It's my duty to prove to Ah Shufen that the Ford brothers belong to ONLY me.

What silly Zaviera and Ocean.

They are the only obstacles obstructing my path.

And I can doing anything to overcome hurdles.

"Mei-mei, what's wrong", Cade asked as we walked together.

" It's nothing.... I was just thinking about the question I asked you and the possible answers", I asked cutely.

" Oh dearest, can you be less cute"

"I can try. But whether I try or not, Ocean would be cuter", I answered sadly.

" Cuter, my foot. Only my Mei-mei is the cutest", he said as I smiled broadly.

" Should I walk you to the gate", he continued as I smiled broadly only to stop abruptly.

Time to continue acting.

"What's wrong, Mei-mei"

"It's nothing. It's just that my car is like garbage for a Ford like you", I replied, fluttering my eyelashes.

" Nonsense. Since it's yours, it's naturally the best.
