Cute enough to Kiss!!

*Currently the chapters are being edited.*** Xie Mei was called the Demon Empress of the Qin Empire. Once she yielded her thunder Spear she was unstoppable on the battlefield. She was like a killing machine, slashing her enemies' throats ruthlessly. She stared right through her enemy's eyes as if the goddess of death herself had descended to claim their lives. Fear. That was evident in their eyes as death closed in on them, but they couldn't do anything apart from begging and pleading to spare them. However, none were spared. Even though she guarded the Qin empire and its citizens with her life, people called her cruel. After all, she was a woman. She was cruel indeed, but not heartless. Just like any ordinary girl, she too had a loving family, doting parents, and brothers who pampered her to the core. But fate played a cruel game, and she lost it all in one night. After her family's and her three-year-old son's deaths, she went on a killing spree to avenge them. That was the night when people saw the Demon Empress in action, about whom they had only heard stories. In the end, she was stabbed by the person to whom she bared her heart. Looking into his eyes, all she could find was hatred and disgust; that was a heavy blow to her heart. With a few breaths left, she killed the adulterous pair and burned the entire palace. When death knocked on her door, there was a mocking smile on her lips, as if she were laughing at her stupidity. Her heart was in turmoil when she remembered the faces of her loved ones and her little one smiling at her warmly. "Yu'er, mother loves you," she whispered with her last dying breath. She thought that was her end; however, fate had a different plan for her as her soul reincarnated. She became the Young Miss of the Tang family in the 21st century. This time, she vowed to never give herself a chance to fall in love. And she did avoid it for some time. Until... she met 'Him'. She stared at him as if looking at a lunatic. "What are you talking about??" She roared. "Marry me!!" He repeated firmly. 'Seems like this person has something wrong with his mental constitution,' she thought to herself. She took a deep breath to calm herself and sighed. "Did you lose a few balls or something??" She seriously questioned him. 'Balls??' The blue-eyed man was stunned by her choice of words. "How can you propose to someone whom you have only met once, and it was not even a proper meeting? Did you hit your head somewhere??" "My head is fine. But you are right; let's get to know each other. En? My name is Han Zhixin." He introduced himself politely. No matter how badly she berates him, he wouldn't mind if it meant he could stay with her.  "Let go, you lunatic!! I don't care if your name is Han Zhixin or Li Zhixin!!! I will never marry you, you idiotic bastard." She sneered, trying to break free once again.  'Lunatic? Bastard?' the man gasped. He was appalled by the image she had of him.  When she finally broke free, she did a backflip to get out of his range. Without looking back, she vanished into the cloudless night. Han Zhixin came out of his reverie and stared in the direction she leaped off. His eyes were full of doting smiles for her. 'Who cares if she calls him a lunatic? For her, he was ready to become one.' "It seems like it's decided, my love. it's definitely going to be you and only you!!! My darling wife!!" he whispered. ------------------------------------ Peach_mist: Instagram: @Peach_mist30 * The story is original and not a translation. * ***The cover photo does not belong to me. Chapter 7 - Xun'er is like an octopus

Sunlight seeped through the curtains towards the woman sleeping on the large bed.

She looked peaceful as the sunlight highlighted her features.

Her black spaghetti-strap night gown stuck to her body like a second skin, showing off her beautiful curves.

The door to her room was quietly pushed open as a pair of big grey eyes looked inside the room.

He slowly walked towards the bed to not disturb his sleeping mother.

As he neared the bed, he carefully tried to climb up; after a few tries, he finally succeeded but was exhausted.

Quickly pushing the blanket aside, he settled beside his mother and dozed off.

After an hour or so, an urgent knock was heard.

Tang Li Mei stirred a little and tried to get up, but she felt an additional weight on her stomach.

Her body stiffened.

When she turned around, she saw a little bun sleeping in her embrace. His slow and steady breathing let her know that he was fast asleep.

Her gaze softened.

Moving the tiny hands and legs that were spread out on her like an octopus, she quickly adjusted the blanket on him and moved out of the bed.

Pulling on a satin black robe to cover her body, she opened the door.

"Y-young miss, I can't find the little master anywhere in the house; he is not in the garden either..." Aunt Lan looked panic-stricken; she gasped for air as her eyes filled with tears.

"Aunt Lan, calm down. Take a deep breath." She gestured with her hands.

The middle-aged woman did as she was told. And she felt a little clear-headed.

"Xun'er is sleeping in my room, so don't worry," she said softly with a smile.

The old woman felt her soul return to her body when she heard this.

"Oh, thank God!" She patted her chest to reassure herself.

Tand Li Mei eyed her mischievous son, who flipped the old lady's life upside down, sleeping without a care in the world.

"Young Miss, sleep some more. I'll call you once breakfast is ready." She sighed and left for the kitchen, mumbling. 'This little one is going to give this old lady a heart attack one day'.

A laugh escaped her when she heard the old woman's pitiful mumbling.

"Xun'er, baby, wake up!" Tang Li Mei softly called out to the sleeping bun.

The little one stirred a little and opened his big grey eyes.

When he saw his mother looking at him, he thought he was still dreaming.

He rubbed his eyes to shake off the sleepiness and looked again.

There she was, his beautiful mama, warmly smiling at him. He extended his little hands and cupped her cheeks.

His eyes were full of life as he smiled widely.

Assured that it was his mother and she would stay with him for an entire two days, he was over the moon.

After waking up, the little one quickly went to his room for a bath and to get dressed.

Tang Li Mei took the chance to freshen up as well. Soon she was dressed up in a baby blue sweater and slim black pants.

When she opened the door to the little one's room, she saw him standing in his underwear, trying to choose his clothes.

A radiant smile appeared on her face. Even though her little bun was just four, he would take a bath and choose his clothes by himself.

Her baby was smart.

She walked in and helped him put on some warm clothes, as the weather was rather windy and cold.

Dressed in a baby blue sweater and black pants, just like his mother, he looked adorable.

Tang Li Mei helped him dry his hair while he quietly sat there in his mother's embrace, loving all the attention he was receiving.

The two of them had their breakfast and played around in the garden. A series of giggles and a woman's laughter filled the entire garden.

Aunt Lan smiled, looking at the mother and son through the kitchen window. She quickly took out her phone and clicked a photo to send it to the old master.

'If only the little one's father was here, this picture would have been perfect,' she sighed.

Many times the old master tried to matchmake, but the moment their young miss heard the word marriage, she would run off like a ghost was chasing her, and the poor old master would walk off tiredly.

'Is it because she is still in love with Xun'er's father?' she thought to herself.

Their day went by playing games, watching TV, and feeding fish in the lake.

In the evening, Tang Li Mei received a call from Li Jun.

"Boss, you would never believe what we just found!!" Li Jun's cheerful voice was heard.

He was so happy that he couldn't even speak properly.

Tang Li Mei waited for him to calm down, but his laughter didn't seem like it would stop anytime soon.

This amused her.

Hong Xi sighed beside him and took away the phone.

"Hello... Sister Mei... Ignore this lunatic. We were going through some traffic camera footage to check on the Black Eagles' new hideout. Who would have thought we would hit a jackpot?" Hong Xi marveled.

Tang Li Mei listened quietly while keeping an eye on the little one.

"What did you find??"

"We found footage of Bai Ruolan and Wang's second master coming out of Spring Brook. We thought it may be a coincidence, but we still did a rain check, and guess what?? This has been going on for almost four years now!! I can't wait to see the bitch's face; she is going to get a heart attack. Hehe.. Oh, and they'll be meeting again tonight at eight. Same place." She excitedly recounted Her eyes sparkled with mischief.

Oh, how she wanted to slam these videos in that bitch's face.

"Aunt Bai and the Second Master of the Wang family?? Isn't that Wang Liwei's uncle??" she asked.

"That's the one!! Bitch's got some guts. Portraying herself as a grieving wife who is sad about her husband's death while having a rendezvous outside. What a frivolous woman! And this second master is nothing less; he looks so decent but is a beast in disguise. The bastard is also married to the side branch of the Gu family's young daughter, who is 20 years younger than him. Tsk tsk, what a wild hobby! Now this is what we call birds of a feather flocking together." She sneered.

Tang Li Mei amusingly listened to Hong Xi's swearing while a sinister smile appeared on her appealing face.

"Xiao Xi, now listen to me carefully..." After giving out some instructions, she joined the little bun to play his pirate game.

At six in the evening, she took him for a bath. After helping him with his clothes, she went to her room to freshen up.

They had an early dinner since the little one was tired and dozing off in the bath. She put on a movie and hugged the little bun. In between the movies, her son dozed off.

Holding him in her arms, she took him to bed.

"Aunt Lan I'll be going out; you don't have to wait for me; I have the keys." She informed her before returning to her bedroom.

Aunt Lan cleaned the kitchen and went back to her bedroom.

Dressed in a black cloak, she left her home and soon arrived at Spring Brook.

She stealthily climbed the pipe and leaped onto the first balcony, taking advantage of the security camera's blind spot.

She held on to the railing.

With a swing and a swift jump, she landed on the next balcony, and after a few more jumps and swings, she reached the fourth floor.

Tang Li Mei soon found the room she was looking for, and her eyes lit up.

Jumping towards the balcony where the room was located, she quietly stood near the sliding door and listened to their conversation.

Her gaze grew colder the more she heard them.

************************************

In the room next door...

"I would like to propose a toast to Doctor Han on taking over the position as the new chief of our Sacred Heart Hospital." A middle-aged man cheered.

"Doctor Yu, it's Chief Han from now on," a middle-aged woman corrected him, and everyone laughed.

A man in his early fifties with greying hair and pale blue eyes who looked quite similar to the young man sitting beside him stood up and raised his glass.

"I have no words to describe how happy I feel today; whatever my son has achieved today is because of his hard work. With all of you guiding him, I'll be able to relax. Zhixin... I can't express how proud I feel today. Thank you, son." He proudly patted his shoulder.

The young man gave a curt nod to his father.

"Thank you, Father, and thank you all for taking some time from your busy schedules to attend the celebration today. I hope everyone can give me a chance to prove myself and support me just like you supported my father." Han Zhixin stood up and thanked all the department heads.

Dressed in a formal black shirt and black pants, he looked handsome and attractive.

The air around him was cold and superior; this made all the people in the room feel suppressed.

But they were quite satisfied with this young man; how could they not be??

As the youngest neurosurgeon in the country with a 100 percent success rate in his surgeries, he was like a devil in the medicine world.

And with the additional title of "Noble Prize Prize Winner in Psychology, what else could they ask for?

A person like this was a rare treasure.

How could they let go of this chance??

Their eyes were filled with smiles as they began with their dinner.

A few of them, who had daughters at the age of marriage, were already planning on introducing the young ones.

After a few more jokes and discussions, everyone said their good-byes and left. Old Master Han left with his old friends to catch up; only he remained in the room.

**********************************

Holding onto his wine glass, he pushed the sliding door open and walked out to the balcony.

The weather was cold, and the moon was shining brightly in the midst of the dark sky.

He looked at the bright nightlife of the city, and his eyes glazed.

Wasn't yesterday's night sky just like this?? with the moon shining on them and a cold wind that blew her long hair.

That was the moment when his gaze fell on her for the first time.

A warm smile adorned his face at the thought of meeting her again.

As he turned around to move inside, he saw a silhouette of the woman who had invaded his mind and soul without even doing anything.

His eyes lit up while his heart thumped loudly.

Although her face was covered with a black cloth, the moment he laid eyes on her, he instantly knew it was her.

A teasing smile appeared on his face.

"Tsk Tsk What a bad habit you got there, sweetheart??Eavesdropping on people like this!!"
