Alex didn't need to wait all that long for geralt to leave the base to look for him , about fifteen minutes in fact. Alex smirked at the man 'it's a hard thing to ignore ones curiosity , even if you know you should.' He said calmly. Geralt chuckled "Ain't that the truth. I admit you stoked my interest Obsidian , what's your story?" the man asked curiously. 'Hop on my back so we can take this conversation somewhere more private this place has to many ears.' Alex said seriously. Geralt raised an eyebrow at this but got on Alex's back none the less.

Alex didn't fly all that far merely about five minutes away onto a high up coral platform that couldn't be spied on without a wing drake. "Whats so secret that you didn't want to tell the folks back there since they spoke well of you when I asked?" Geralt asked curiously. 'What I am about to tell you does not reach their ears understand?' Alex said seriously. Geralt nodded and Alex continued 'I was human once you know?' Alex sighed while Geralt looked very surprised at the revelation.

'Truth of the matter was that I wasn't even from this world originally , rather in my old world your world and this one were works of fiction meant for entertainment. One day I died and the next thing I knew I was stuck in this body with the ability to adapt and grow by my will and outside influences.' Alex said with a sad look. "Mighty big secret to go spilling to a stranger isn't it?" Geralt asked seriously. 'I told that your world was a work of fiction in my world , You were the focus of those works so I know you even if you don't know me.' Alex said and geralt sighed.

"Makes sense if what you said is true , a bit hard to believe but I reckon you likely have answers to any questions about myself none in this world should know right?" Geralt asked and Alex nodded. "Even if this is all true I don't see why you'd tell me of all people." Geralt said honestly. 'Don't get me wrong I've accepted my life here as a monster but I want to know WHY I was brought here. It wasn't explained very well in my world but the only thing of I could think of magic of some sort like in your world , but this world doesn't have any so I had no one I could ask until now.' Alex admitted.

'I want to know if moving a soul like this is possible in your world and if so what would be needed.' Alex said honestly. Geralt was silent for a few moments "I'm no expert on magic , but I have seen souls that were tainted by the stuff so it might be possible. But for something to put a soul through what you've told me it would need to be powerful beyond any understanding , dare I say divine." the man paused to let his words sink in.

Alex nodded in understanding 'I thought as much but I wanted an outside opinion of it by someone who actually has some idea of the subject.' He said honestly. Geralt nodded in understanding "Can't say I blame you , would probably drive me mad not having any closure about the situation if I was in your place." he said with a slight shiver. 'Thanks for hearing me out by the way , it's nice getting this off my mind finally.' Alex said with a bit of relief.

"Don't mention it , if nothing else it's an interesting tale to remember that might come in handy later." Geralt waved off Alex's thanks. 'When they pay you for your help I'll add in a little something that should come in handy for you in your world if you take it to Yennefer to get enchanted.' Alex said calmly. "It's not needed , really keep it yourself as it probably has no value in my world." geralt tried to persuade Alex against giving him anything but Alex just laughed. 'Are you saying that my powerful scales are worthless?' he asked with a smirk. 'I was going to have a shirt of mail made with some of my shed scales to save your or someone you care abouts life but if you really don't want it....' Alex said teasingly and geralt relented since that would definitely be something he would want.
