9 Chapter 9: Deadly Prediction
Choza was already too injured and The trio had asked him to hurry up and leave the rear to them. He sped up and joined back into Minato's formation ahead.
After a while, the trio appeared injured from the toll that this battle was taking on them. Raiden retreated to relatively clear space before stretching his hands out. They started turning purple with nozzles forming again...This time, however, it was only a partial transformation.
In this form, the user's abilities are limited as the only things that are Chemichellan are the stomach and some of the blood vessels turn to gas vessels in the body. This allows things to be produced in the stomach then move out of the nozzles eventually.
Raiden began using the Chemichellan's innate knowledge of chemistry to produce something that would induce a lightning storm. He began fusing different chemicals with his chakra to refine a distinct gaseous solution. Eventually, due to help from his chakra, he was able to form a chemical that allowed for two things to form in the atmosphere... Graupel (Soft hail) and ice crystals. These move in opposite directions in clouds and hence cause a collision. This forms two separate areas of charge. Negative at the bottom and positive at the top. The Negatively charged bottom interacts with the ground which is positively charged and Boom, the electrons get moved from the cloud to the ground which equals Lightning strikes and thunderstorms.
Raiden suddenly released this chemical all over the battlefield and watched it disperse upwards into the atmosphere. It was coloured so some of the long-range ninjas stopped as people tried to clear the gas away, only speeding up the process of producing lightning.
Raiden abruptly teleported to his teammates and took them back to his original, unhindered position. They both looked at him weirdly before he sighed,
"There's a lot of things I haven't told you guys...and I can't at this time. I hope you can still trust me though as you guys are basically... my only friends."
Genma finally seemed to cave in as he smiled for once and nodded. Guy looked at Raiden weirdly before headbutting him,
"We're always gonna be your friend Raiden. Why would you think otherwise you idiot?"
Raiden smiled and rubbed the pain in his head. He nodded before grinning,
"Well then... let the games begin"
A distinct, sharp sound of lightning was roaring around the battlefield. yellow streaks of light began forming in the clouds and soon the roaring became louder.
Raiden abruptly released Kiba, two sleek and serrated blades, from his inventory. He formed a few hand signs and started imbuing the swords with chakra to amplify them. The blades began conducting electricity between each other as they began to fuse at their hilts forming one great double-bladed sword. He had always been scared of using up his chakra reserves, however, now was not the time to be stingy with people's lives on the line.
Genma and Guy's eyes started to bulge as they could tell something big was about to happen to the 200+ ninja on the field. The gas still dimmed their sights yet they could hear thunder.
The large sword began to rotate as the electrical aura around it crackled and sparked. A large number of lightning bolts struck the sword as if it were a focal point and soon the blade began to vibrate with a low hum due to the large volume of power held within it.
Raiden was almost on one knee at this point yet he still held his hands in a single seal. He slowly got up from his crouching position and released the seal as he mentally flung the rotating blade towards the gathering of Kiri ninja. Some of them heard the hum and attempted to run out of the gas yet they were unsuccessful. The speed of the blade rushing through their ranks caused their inevitable collapse.
As it reached the centre of their ranks, the low hum began turning into a loud rumble before a magnificent display occurred...
zzzzz- Bang!
The energy held in the blade exploded outwards in a rich golden light! It decimated the remaining ninja in their ranks as the smell of flesh being roasted began diffusing into the surroundings...then poof. Their bodies seemingly disintegrated into thin air.
Guy: "..."
Genma: "...."
Sensor nin up ahead: "..."
"Err, Raiden..." Guy was about to speak yet Raiden cut him off as the blade rushed back to his hands. Suddenly, the trio heard a voice within their heads,
"Team Choza, return to the camp. Reinforcements are arriving to replace your positions."
This was the work of the Yamanaka clan as they acted as communications between the base and battlefield for Konoha. before leaving, Raiden placed the blades back in the inventory and touched the water, at this point Guy and Genma didn't even bother asking anymore. They were all too lazy and tired to be using their brains.
'Mental Note, My endurance will have to be improved further and a shield against these mind readers needs to be produced,' Raiden thought.

Raiden POV
The four of us ended up returning to base with moderate injuries which were swiftly taken care of by the medical-nin. Tsunade will only act for life-threatening injuries and we were relatively okay. I was glad that I got some sleep before thinking about how Tsunade is gonna really nag at me tomorrow, sigh.
However, before I fully fell asleep, I checked my stats as I managed to distract Genma and Guy with the blinding light of the lightning bomb. As I absorbed the fallen Kiri Nin from underneath the water during the lightning explosion, this produced the illusion behind their 'disintegration'.

There was an incremental yet...widespread increase in my abilities. Me gaining lightning release in my mastery section is probably due to the control exerted on that form of chakra when I used Kiba. Now I need to think about what I'll need tomorrow if push comes to shove. I had a large number of CP now which I need to use carefully, probably from how emotional they were...
Hmm maybe a teleport move? No, I already have a rudimentary flying Raijin. Some form of psychic...shield would be useful no?
