My Cherry Blossom

Pink cherry blossom falling,

I often wonder why,

A beauty slowly taken

Like branches now forsaken,

I am the tree

That learned to cry.

Farewell my love,

To fallen love,

The wind became

Your words,

The emptiness between us,

The silent petals

Upon the earth

Days continued to pass, and Edward and Daisy became even closer than ever before. They would often visit each other's homes, whether it was for a family dinner or a simple baking day. Their families had grown to know each other well, and the camaraderie between them was heartwarming. Both mothers shared similar life perspectives, the fathers bonded over similar political thoughts, and their siblings got along effortlessly. The main students were content with the harmonious relationship between their families, knowing it boded well for the future.

High school continued to unfold positively, with the first two terms progressing smoothly. They performed well in their exams and started participating in various class activities. Daisy and Anna remained close, both pursuing the same field of study. On the other hand, Edward formed a friendship with his classmate Drake in the business field. While they shared a similar nature, Drake's outspokenness made it easier for Edward to interact with others outside of his conversations with Daisy.

Marcel, seemingly wanting to avoid any more confrontations, kept his distance from Daisy. Edward noticed a few lingering glances directed at Daisy from afar, but he chose to ignore them as long as Daisy didn't seem bothered.

Now in the final term of their third year, they faced the last three months of their high school journey. The students were diligently working towards their goals, whether it was preparing for entrance exams, organizing the annual school event, planning farewell parties, and more. Daisy had successfully completed three medical exams by this point, excelling in each one. Edward had also aced a business assessment, securing the best grades possible. Both were making impressive strides in their chosen fields, advancing their careers side by side.

For Daisy, her determination to express her feelings to Edward when the time was right fueled her drive. Edward, on the other hand, aimed to be in a stable financial position and achieve his personal best before he eventually planned to propose to Daisy. As they navigated through their final months in high school, the bond between them continued to deepen, and the future seemed full of promise.

Daisy's day took an unexpected and distressing turn when Marcel appeared out of nowhere. She was enjoying a moment of solitude, sitting outside and savoring her treat while waiting for Edward. Little did she know that Edward and Drake were out purchasing supplies for their final project, and Anna had gone to the cafeteria. As Daisy indulged in her sweet treat, a sudden gust of wind ruffled her hair and knocked some of her belongings to the ground.

Amid the soft rustling of the wind, Daisy sensed someone standing in front of her, and she looked up to meet the gaze of Marcel. His presence was accompanied by an unsettling aura, and Daisy immediately felt her guard go up. As Marcel's hand reached out to playfully tousle her hair, Daisy's discomfort grew, and she instinctively moved away from his touch. However, Marcel persisted, taking a step closer.

Daisy stood up, her annoyance evident as she straightened her dress. "What are you doing here, Marcel?" she asked with irritation. Marcel's response was dripping with flirtatiousness, a tone that made Daisy's skin crawl. She sternly told him to leave, but he seemed undeterred. Marcel leaned in, his gaze locking with Daisy's eyes as he teased her.

Daisy's patience waned as Marcel's presence became increasingly invasive. His actions crossed a line when he touched a loose strand of her hair, twirling it around his finger. Irritated and uncomfortable, Daisy stepped back, trying to put some distance between them. But Marcel advanced, taking hold of her wrist and twisting it in a painful grip.

Daisy winced in pain, telling him to leave her alone. However, Marcel's taunting words continued to flow, his demeanor growing more aggressive. He mocked her, insinuating that even if she called for help, there would be no savior to rescue her. Daisy's distress was evident, and tears welled up in her eyes as she struggled against his hold.

Anna, having witnessed the unsettling situation from afar, rushed to Daisy's side to intervene. Daisy was trembling and unable to find her voice, her tears silently falling. Anna sternly warned Marcel to stop, but his arrogance remained intact. He belittled Daisy further, aiming his cruel words at her vulnerability. His words pierced through Daisy's heart, leaving her shattered.

The venomous exchange continued, with Anna desperately trying to free Daisy from Marcel's grip. Daisy's spirit seemed broken, her tears flowing freely as she absorbed Marcel's spiteful remarks. Marcel's intentions were clear: to harm and manipulate Daisy emotionally.

Meanwhile, Edward was still at the store, unaware of the distress Daisy was facing. He had been sending her voice messages, explaining his delay and reassuring her that he would be there soon. Daisy's phone buzzed in her pocket, but she was too consumed by the traumatic encounter to notice.

As the situation escalated, Daisy's strength wavered, and her body grew increasingly hot. The overwhelming stress triggered a panic attack, leaving her shivering and struggling to breathe. In a moment of desperation, Daisy mustered the courage to confront Marcel, revealing a deeply personal truth. She spoke of her anxiety, her struggles with being around people, and how Edward had been her anchor through it all.

Daisy's words held a powerful truth: Edward had accepted her for who she was and supported her unconditionally. Unlike Marcel, Edward had been a positive force in her life, guiding her through her challenges and empowering her to be her best self.

The revelation seemed to startle Marcel, and he released his grip on Daisy. Anna's presence added to the pressure, and Marcel was left feeling guilty and defeated. Daisy's emotional strength and raw vulnerability had caught him off guard.

Amid the chaos, Daisy's strength began to waver, and her breathing grew labored. The combination of Marcel's toxic behavior and her own anxiety took a toll on her, and she ultimately lost consciousness. Anna's cries for help filled the air, and Marcel, now consumed by guilt, could only stand there, powerless.

Unbeknownst to Daisy, Edward's voice messages remained unheard as he rushed to her side, guided by the urgency of Anna's cries. As Daisy slipped into unconsciousness, the last words she held onto were a comforting memory of Edward, her "Cherry Blossom."

Look at the Cherry Blossom,

Their color and scent fall with them,

Are gone forever,

Yet mindless,

The spring comes again
