A Suspect
After finishing his dinner and helplessly seeing his uncle and aunt retire to their room with rejected faces, Corbin sat cross-legged on a plush rug in the centre of his room, surrounded by an atmosphere of tranquillity. The faint scent of lavender lingered in the air, a residue from the calming incense Sylvia had lit during their meditation session.
She gave some to him before he left her house.
The room itself was a reflection of Corbin's newfound journey into mindfulness. Earthy tones dominated the decor, from the warm caramel hues of the walls to the deep mahogany of the wooden furniture. Soft cushions adorned the floor, creating a cosy and inviting space for introspection.
