Cursed To Be A Red Rose

Princess Ievna was the princess in the kingdom of Shovalon. Shovalon was a small kingdom, and it was conquered by the kingdom of the witches, Wemor. Her parents were killed in front of her eyes, and she was cursed to be a red rose by the strongest witch, Sharass. Fourteen years passed, and Princess Ievna was living as a red rose in the last fourteen years. The witches locked the red rose Ievna in the tower prison, and she would only be able to return to her human form in Spring when roses would bloom. And even in Spring, she could only exist in her human form during the day when the sun reigned over the sky. At night, she would turn into a red rose again. Princess Ievna was living in the dark prison for fourteen years until finally, the prince of Breviel, Reigen, managed to snatch Shovalon from the witches' grip. One night, the arrogant prince accidentally opened the tower prison and saw a beautiful red rose in the prison. Later he learned that the red rose was the princess of Shovalon. What would happen to the princess of Shovalon and the prince of Breviel? Would the prince of Breviel be able to save the princess from the curse? Maybe that wouldn't be easy because all the prince wanted to do to the princess was touch her. Unfortunately, the princess was no longer a human. He would need to pay with his blood if he wanted to touch the princess' body. --- "What a beautiful princess of Shovalon. I have saved you from Sharass, and to repay my kindness, let me touch you and make you mine." "Every rose has its thorn. If you touch this red rose, your fingers will bleed." --- WARNING! WILL THEY FIND ME?

Princess Ievna couldn't do much in the narrow prison, and even if it was Spring when she could transform into a human, she still couldn't leave the prison.

She was trapped in a narrow prison, and even if there was a window in the prison, it was too small for her body to escape. And even if she could escape through the window, she probably wouldn't dare to take the risk by jumping from such a height.

When she had just been imprisoned in the tower many years ago, she had often thought positively that she would become like a princess in a fairy tale.

The princess was being held captive by her stepmother in the tower, and after waiting for a while, a prince would save her and they would live happily ever after.

Princess Ievna had been waiting for a prince to save her, and finally, a prince did come to Shovalon and even managed to kill the strongest witch, Sharass. However, the red-haired princess was sure that the black-haired prince would not save her. On the other hand, the prince might only harm her.

The four walls not only restricted her movement, but they also restricted her dreams. Gradually, her dream of becoming a princess with a happy ending like in a fairy tale was dashed.

Thus, Princess Ievna stopped thinking that she was the main character in a fairy tale. She was just an unlucky princess who even lost all her family members and ended up being a red rose, and no one would care about such a pitiful creature.

Her fate was even worse than that of the supporting cast in the story.

And she even started to lose hope when she felt her body gradually becoming weaker after the witches of Wemor died. She knew the reason why her body wasn't as fit as before, but she couldn't do anything about it.

It wasn't like she could scream for help as that would only put her life on the line.

Sighing heavily, the pathetic princess once again positioned herself at the window. Looking down at the palace gates, she could see a group of people standing near the carriage.

Several days had passed since the king of the unknown kingdom arrived in Shovalon, and it looked like the king's entourage would be leaving Shovalon today.

Princess Ievna wouldn't lie that she was relieved when she saw the people getting ready to board the carriage. That meant, those people wouldn't stay in Shovalon like the Wemor witches, so maybe those people didn't want to establish new domination on the dead Shovalon.

However, when her silver eyes saw only three people boarding the carriage, she began to change her mind.

"So, Prince Reigen is not leaving with his family? He will stay in Shovalon?" She mumbled to herself as her eyes kept staring at the black-haired prince, who didn't get into the carriage along with his family.

She thought the unknown royal family wouldn't care about the dead Shovalon, but she was wrong. Shovalon was known as a kingdom with fertile soil and a comfortable climate, so maybe the unknown kingdom still wanted to dominate Shovalon their way.

Even though only the prince remained in Shovalon after the king left, Princess Ievna was still restless. Prince Reigen was not a very nice person, and the man probably had a sinister idea in his mind regarding Shovalon.

Princess Ievna knew all of Shovalon's people had been burned to ashes by the Wemor witches, but she was still worried about the land where she was born and raised. She was afraid that the prince would destroy Shovalon even more.

Now, there were only Prince Reigen and the guards in the courtyard, and it seemed they were talking about something. Princess Ievna tried to listen to their conversation silently.

"We will start our project to build the monument in a few days, Connad. Get ready for it," Prince Reigen spoke to his trusted guard as his eyes fell on the carriage carrying his family.

The King, Queen, and Crown Prince had left in the chariot, and now only he could rule Shovalon. He smirked because he could finally start his plan officially. No one could stop him now.

"I understand, Your Highness. I have employed several workers, and they are ready to start work whenever you wish," Connad replied politely to the prince's words.

Prince Reigen nodded in understanding, but instead of responding to Connad's words, he brought his golden eyes to scan the surroundings.

The yard of the palace had been cleaned by the servants, but it was still so vacant without any plants in it. Even the ground was bare without the grass, and it looked so dull in his eyes.

Prince Reigen had heard stories about the beauty of Shovalon, but the sight he was seeing now was far from beautiful. He wasn't an artistic person, but since he was the man in charge at Shovalon now, he felt the need to dispel the boredom in the area.

"Once done with the monument project, the royal courtyard will be our next focus. The courtyard is the other thing that people will immediately see if they visit, so we have to make it as grandiose as possible," the prince gave the guard another order, and Connad nodded as a response.

Now the prince looked around him again, and his gaze fell on the old tower once again.

"I still want to tear down that old tower, Connad. Do you think that's a good idea?"

It wasn't every day that the prince would ask for his opinion, and Connad's green eyes lit up at the question. "Perhaps we should inspect the tower first before we can knock it down, Your Highness," he voiced his idea in a confident manner.

Still frowning at the old tower, Prince Reigen finally decided, "You are right. Let's check the tower later tonight, Connad."

On the other hand, Princess Ievna heard the conversation, and her body froze. "Will they find me?"

Spoiler: Prince Reigen will find the red rose Princess Ievna in the next chapter.

Please wait for it! ^^
