Some Rest.

Dean casually played with the silver dagger professionally as he took a few steps back and threw himself into the comfy sofa, a feeling of comfort and peace hitting him.

" So speak up Roy; what message are you here to deliver? Let me guess; our family is in threat of destruction, so father and mother decided to bring me back to save them, is that why they gave me back my memory?"

Roy wasn't surprised that Dean guessed that much but hesitated for a moment before he commented on something unusual occurring in front of him, pointing at his chest.

" Brother, I think you should tend to your wound before we keep talking; if you die cause of blood lose, my mother and father will skin me alive."

Dean looked at his chest hearing this, and saw a sight that suddenly reminded him of his fatal weakness and strength at the same time.

' Damn it; this is gonna be a troublesome passive skill in combat if I don't somehow go around it.'

He bitterly smiled as he saw that his chest was stabbed a few inches in, blood dripping out of it non-stop. If Roy didn't know that Dean didn't feel a thing about his body and could have really died if he didn't comment on it, he would have surely ignored it and never mentioned it.

Thinking this far, Dean chose to quickly send Roy from where he came from and have a conversation with the old man.

" A healing potion," Dean demanded as he stretched out his right hand.

Roy reluctantly took out a red potion out of nowhere and threw it in Dean's direction, his face showing dissatisfaction.

Dean didn't mind his feelings and gulped the healing red potion in one mouthful, and in an instant, the wound was healed, leaving no traces behind; it was like it never existed in the first place.

Dean even deduced that the red healing potion replenished the blood he lost, but since he couldn't feel dizziness cause of his passive skill, he couldn't really make sure of that.

' A magical world, power, eternal life, this is really what I have long dreamed of at every point of my life while I was reading all those novels. This chance I was given, I'll never waste!' Dean vowed. He then looked at Roy and said.

" You have grown stronger brother, I didn't even sense your attack back then. Let me guess; you are already a rank-three assassin, right?"

Dean got the basic information of power stages in this world after he regained his owner body's younger days memories.

For martial arts such as swordsman, archer, etc, for example, things were relatively simple. It started from rank 0 till rank nine, which is the level of the current Martial art God.

As for mages, it was rather complicated; it went on like this.

Apprentice Mage.

Elementary Mage.

Intermediate Mage.

Advanced Mage.

Great Mage.

Great Grand Mage.

Semi- grandmaster Mage.

Grandmaster Mage.

Semi- Great Grandmaster Mage.

For each path, whether it was mages or martial arts users, both were divided into nine realms.

Dean pushed those thoughts to another day and focused on his so-called brother next.

Roy puffed up his chest hearing his brother's words and couldn't resist displaying his arrogance once in his life in front of his monster of a brother.

" Obviously, even though you can perfect all techniques in a matter of months, I can still easily kill you right now; you are simply way too slow and weak."

Dean wasn't deceived by his arrogant words since he knew that his real objective in talking this way was to threaten him.

His words were simple, just because your talent is monstrous, I can still kill you if you ever cross the line and aim for the family head chair.

' This is weird; isn't he afraid I'll take revenge after reaching his rank? He knows he can't touch me right now, yet he is still threatening me, interesting.'

Even though Dean felt that something was off with his ' brother's ' words, he still nodded and changed the conversation.

" The message Mother told you to deliver." He again stretched his hand as he demanded.

Roy took out a golden letter decorated by platinum silk threads from his space ring and handed it to Dean, but as he was leaving the one-story house, he couldn't help but add something, grinning as he wished to see his brother's reaction the moment he opens and read the contents of the letter.

"You indeed deduced our family's situation correctly, but that is only half the truth."

Dean didn't react to his words; he placed the golden letter on the sofa next to him and held his chest where the previous wound was healed.

' Seems like the one-year block attack was exhausted on the trial of lust, was there some kind of hidden attack hidden in that illusion?'

Before feeling deep in thought, he stretched his hands on both sides, stood up, and went to his bed a few meters away from the sofa right on the corner of the house.

' I'm so tired.' Dean said as he threw himself on top of his comfy bed, falling into a deep sleep almost instantly.'

He was so exhausted by his situation that he chose to ignore all of it and sleep.

This was his first day for f**k sake, yet he was met with two troublesome matters already; his mind couldn't take it anymore.

A few hundred meters outside the city, Roy gazed in the direction of Dean's house for a few minutes before he turned his head to look at a clocked figure that suddenly appeared behind him.

"You finished your family's order? Did he get his memories back?"

The voice contained was that of a woman, emotionless, cold, and robotic.

Roy shivered to hear her words; this always happened with him whenever he spoke with this woman; she was just that terrifying.

' Shadow, a rank four assassin. She really lives up to her name.'

He didn't dare to waste her time and immediately replied," Yes leader, my parents' actions were as expected, and they had to unleash that monster again."

" So his memories about that thing's location should also be restored, right?"

Roy felt that each second in the presence of this woman, his confidence in his strength was wavering, he even began questioning his own life and goals, but he pushed those distracting thoughts to the back of his mind and politely responded.

" Yes leader, that is the main reason why my father wiped his memories back then. My brother saw something he wasn't supposed to!"

" What about my paym.." His voice trailed off when he noticed that shadow was already gone.

Roy swallowed his last words and took one more look at Dean's house before vanishing as well, blending with the darkness. Only, his technique was too weak that his figure could be faintly seen moving at a fast speed in the darkness.
