To cultivate is to go against the Heavens. All cultivators strive to reach the peak, but none can say they made the Heavens fear them like Drovax. Once he reached the apex of what the Heavens allowed he sought to destroy the very Heavens. In the end, if the realm would not allow his ascension, he would just go beyond it.
While Drovax said he was taking a nap, he was actually meditating while he focused on healing his soul. He had tempered his soul since he was a mortal so this kind of damage was bearable. His own body and soul were healing on their own, but it would take a while with how much damage he sustained.
When he recovered he would be even stronger as with his experience he could improve on his foundation. As for Lina, the little girl had fallen asleep as the stress of thinking her dad could die had exhausted her.
While she slept, Drovax healed his soul and spread his divine sense to explore the world the moon was orbiting. Just with a quick search, he found so many things that caught his interest.
'Earth? Many planets have been named as such in the past, but this one takes the cake for being weird. There is both magic in the universe itself along with other strange energies. Not to mention all the storage entities. Seems that I will not remain bored at least.'
He pulled out a white pill from his spatial ring and popped it into his mouth. A rush of energy flew into his soul as this drug was made to focus on healing the soul over time. He still worked to heal as much of the damage as he could which was not going to happen instantly.
These drugs could not be abused too much as they would make the body develop resistance with how strong it was. While his cultivation dropped from the God realm to the Primal God realm he was still a God with three personal laws. That kind of power would not just leave him, so he just had to focus on healing.
After an hour, Lina opened her eyes and noticed her dad had his eyes closed. She smiled as she started to play with his hair which was soft and black. It was not a black that was normal, but one that looked like a void.
Drovax opened his eyes as he looked at his daughter.
"Lina, want to know something interesting?"
She nodded as she hugged her jar of planets.
"Yes."
"Well, it seems that this reality has a lot of interesting creatures and items. Spread your divine sense to the planet and see if you can see what I did."
She did as he said as she was still immortal. Cultivation had 5 stages, Mortal, Immortal, Path Finder, Limit Breaker, and God. She had skipped the mortal realm by being the child of two God realm cultivators. As such, she had been born with a body and soul devoid of mortality.
When she looked into Earth she found many curious creatures and items. The one that took the most of her attention was a reptile that looked like a mix of a dog and a crocodile. Just as a glance she could tell that it was a powerful creature with the potential for combat. It was contained in a vat of acid that kept it restrained.
Her eyes shined as she looked at it.
"Cool. What is it?"
Drovax gazed at the creature and read the minds of the researchers around it. He quickly learned that it was called SCP-682 and they called it the Hard to Destroy Reptile. His instincts told him that it was far from just that so he was very curious about it.
"Well, the scientists around it are from an organization called the foundation. They Secure, Contain and Protect anomalous creatures, items, places, and the like. I feel they just might have some interesting items that while they can't learn I can. I might even take that lizard of their hands if I can."
"Can I have him, daddy?"
Drovax patted her head as he stood up.
"Not a chance. I want him. That is just one of their many curious items. I am more interested in that fire giant thing. He is not even close to my level, but he is as strong as a peak Divinity cultivator. Not bad for such a place.
Give me a week, that will be enough time for me to stabilize and maybe recover some of my cultivation. As long as I can heal my Soul a bit more I will recover over time. I also go into seclusion yet, as I can't just lock myself up while I have you.
By the time I recover you would already be a Path Finding realm expert."
Instead of being happy, Lina felt shame she was holding him back.
"Sorry."
He scoffed.
"Don't be. I wanted to be a father so I had you. I am not about to neglect you. I might lose a few millennia, but so what. I have lived for countless ages so that time will fly by for me. I can always enter a time formation to speed up my progress."
That cheered her up, but she still wished her mom was there. Drovax knew that taking her from her mother was selfish, but he was doing it for her sake. He was sure Yelena would find her way here in time as she swore to find them again.
He knew that woman would not abandon her daughter forever so he just closed his eyes and focused on healing. He brought out 5,000 Rank 12 God Stones and the same amount of Hell Stones. Rank 12 was the highest number and was extremely rare.
Each God might have a few thousand, and he was no exception. Only that he took all the treasures of nearly a million Gods so his reserves had gotten a massive increase. He could use the energy from them to begin to recover.
"Lina, make sure you begin to cultivate just a bit of the energy in the room. Most of it will be used by me, but even the tiny bit you can absorb will help strengthen your three cores, body, and soul."
She nodded and closed her eyes to do as her father ordered. He and her mother had made a perfect cultivation technique based on their own for her. While the two of them were busy cultivating, back in the Domain of the previous Heavens a meeting was going on.
While the God realm was half destroyed by Drovax, it was already starting to heal. It would take millions of years before it could even come close to being finished, but that was enough. However, in a realm away from the God realm were the surviving Gods that Drovax had warned beforehand.
They were people who he helped in the past, or they helped him. They were not many, but Drovax had not killed every God. Some had just gotten lucky to survive and they were now just trying to find what to do. Also, not all of them had taken the offer by the Heavens so they also survived.
The Heavens were dead, but spiritual energy was still around. The death of the Heavens was a new thing, but many were trying to learn what it meant. As for the Gods Drovax had warned they all met up in Yelena's realm.
Her name was Yelena Illena the insane Dao Companion of Drovax. She had met Drovax 698 million years ago when they were just mortal realm cultivators. As such she had known Drovax for a giant portion of his life.
She had been obsessed with him since so tried to avoid her in the past as he had completely focused on cultivation. That went on even when he became an Immortal cultivator as she just chased after him even then.
He often tried to seal her up or retrain her, but she always broke out. No matter what he did she never gave up. Even when he would fight her with the intent to kill her she resisted and would fight him for years. Even when he ascended again to become a Path Finder she came right after him again.
Those Life and Death battles with Drovax were always deadly for her, but she survived. She just grew stronger and more determined to have him accept her. She never gave up though and kept her eternal chase of Drovax. Even when they reached the Limit Breaker realm she still kept her chase.
In time, Drovax got so used to her chasing after him that it became something he grew to enjoy. He still refused her and would fight her to kill, but he came to her aid when she needed it most. It would be another 100 million years before her efforts truly paid off as Drovax came to her when he decided it was time for him to have a child.
They ended up finally together and it took them 225,000 years before they managed to conceive Lina. Those years made her 698 million years of chasing worth it. Then she stayed with Lina and Drovax another year before he left again.
She had no fear that she would not find him as she had left trackers on Lina and Drovax he allowed. He had done the same as well as he knew she would chase after him soon. That was just the kind of woman that Yelena was.
At the moment she had called a meeting of the Gods that Drovax warned and befriended. In the middle of her realm was a titanic mountain made of the souls and bodies of trillions of creatures. Humans, demon beasts, Demons, Celestials, and the like. At the peak was a large black throne where she sat. She wore a pitch-black suit of armor while two giant greatswords rested at either side of her throne.
Her helmet was in her lap so her face was free for all to see. She had peerless white skin, platinum blonde hair, and blue draconic eyes just like Lina. Her height was 6'5 as she was half-dragon. Around her were around 123 Gods who gathered.
At the head was a God that looked like an 8-year-old child wearing a suit with a top hat and monocle. He was smoking a cigar and had his arms crossed.
"Yelena, this is all of us."
She gazed at everyone and nodded.
"Good, you all survived. Not one of you ignored his warning. I thought you would Samield."
The child-looking God scoffed.
"I would be a fool to ignore Drovax's warning. Thanks to listening I had left the God realm before the fools thought they could take on Drovax. In the realms, there are only 5 people who could fight Drovax to a standstill.
Xiao Shan might have been the chosen one of the Heavens, but he was not one of them. That's the funny thing, as much power as the Heavens could give it does not compare to us. Even we can blink realms and universes into dust. He was just a perverted man child."
Yelena rested her chin on her knuckle.
"You are all after all Taboo cultivators who broke the rules of the Heavens since the start. You had to claw your way up from the dirt to achieve what you are now. What do you all instead to do now that the Heavens are dead?"
Samield shrugged.
"I plan to leave the realm of the Heavens just like Drovax did. Once we reached the peak of the God realm we all created 2 laws. That is what made us strong as our taboo paths allowed us to break the limits placed on us by the foolish Heavens.
There is so much out there to find and explore that I am itching to find new paths to grow stronger. What God would be happy to remain safe. We cultivated since we were mortals so the danger is nothing new for us."
The rest of the Gods behind Samield had the same idea. Next to him was a God that looked like a mass of rolling shadows. His name was Ulsald, the Rolling Shadow and one of the evilest Gods to have ever lived.
"I had the same plan. We all have reached the apex of what we can achieve in the control of the Heavens. I have explored untold amounts of worlds, universes, and realms. I think it is time for us to follow in the footsteps of Drovax and explore other realities."
Every single one of them had the same idea two of them. As for Yelena, she had even more reasons to leave. Drovax had left and she would chase him till the end of time. She could not help but smile like a girl in love which none of the Gods talked about.
'Wait for me, my love. I will never let you go as long as I still draw breath.'
As for the rest of the Gods they were planning on creating a method so they could communicate when they left. It was better to have friends as even Drovax sought people like him. Taboo cultivators were stronger than their peers but rarely made it far.
To become a God as a Taboo cultivator showed just how powerful they had to be. They were also not satisfied with their boundless power as they wanted more. Drovax left the realm of the Heavens for that same reason. Once he became a God realm cultivator, no matter what he did he could not break through into a higher stage.
So he decided to leave and create the next one for himself. These Gods all had the same idea as they were already on their own paths. If they could work together once they left for new realities they could do it faster.
Yelena would take the same method to Drovax who had the same goal as them. It was better when you had people to help you with such a plan. Creating a new cultivation stage was not going to be easy, but if it was it would not be worth it.
This is just what they wanted as the more challenging it was the better the end result would be.
