This Family Is Weird

"Where is who?" Haruka asked the daze Yukino and it seemed to be enough to wake her up from her stupor.

She looked at Haruka and wondered what she was doing here? An awkward silence descended between the two of them.

Yukino right now was wondering how she was going explain herself to her master after he explicitly told her to get out sight from his parents until he comes back from the forest with his father.

Haruka wasn't one to bask in awkward silence, so she asked another question. "Why were you screaming?"

Yukino tilted her head, not understanding the questions, until memories surfaced in her mind and she remembered everything that transpired, and a blush brightened her cheek.

She looked the other way, not saying anything. Seeing her reaction, Haruka translated that as being embarrassed by whatever happened, so she didn't push any further and changed the question.

"How long have you been staying with my son?" This time her expression was serious and Yukino could tell, she now meant business.

"Um.. yesterday, well technically it was today, as the sun hadn't yet risen. He found me, when I was taking my human form, and.." Yukino didn't finish the rest and Haruka nodded in understanding, she had been branded.

Haruka let out an exhale, there seemed to be a cloud hanging over her head, but it was gone as she refocused her eyes on the youkai. "Has my son, given you a name?"

The youkai nodded, coyly. "It's Yukino.."

Haruka's face went from nonchalant, to extremely serious, her eyes narrowed as she looked at Yukino with predator's eyes. "Yukino, listen here, and listen well. I don't care about your relationship with my son, whether it's just a master/slave relationship or it transforms into something more.."

She paused to gauge her expression and make sure she was listening, and she really was. "Or it becomes something more, if you were to hurt him, in anyway, I mean anyway.

I will say this, there will be no one, absolutely no one, who will be able to stop me from hunting you down, finding you, capturing you and giving you torture that would make you beg for death, as you slowly lose your sanity.

Then I would forcibly make you wake up to reality to make you suffer even more, until you're stripped of everything that makes up Yukino the youkai, do you understand?"

Yukino was frozen in place and couldn't answer with horror filling her expression, oppressed by Haruka's bloodlust that kept her in place, suffocating her.

Deep in her heart, she knew she had already betrayed her master, but she would bury that secret with herself before revealing that information to the devil-lord herself, kneeling before her.

She saw that Haruka was waiting for an answer and with immense difficulty, she forced herself to nod, and when Haruka was certain she was being sincere enough, her bloodlust dissipated and Yukino could finally breathe.

Haruka got up, and looked at her. "Anyway get some sleep, and learn to sleep with something on. I will be back tomorrow with something more suitable to wear, other than my son's patched up kimono that doesn't fit a woman's body."

After she said that she turned to the exit, and walked away. She stopped by the door. "I guess you're sleeping with an open door tonight, but it's hot anyways, so there's no problem."

She had kicked the door open without thinking when she heard Yukino's screams and now it was broken, though she should apologise, in her mind she blames Yukino for screaming like a strangled chicken.

Haruka finally walked away, leaving Yukino, alone, naked with a broken door, but Yukino couldn't be happier. Simply put being near her master's mother, was suffocating even without the threats and bloodlust.

Now she could truly breathe. Yukino laid down on her back and thought back to everything that transpired, shame tugging her heart strings and confusion lacing her thoughts about her flames.

'If my flame chakra can do something like that, then what about my water chakra what can it do?' Yukino thought, as her eyelids became heavy, and before she knew it, she had fallen asleep.

Aiko tossed and turned in her sleep, whispers in the dark calling her name, telling her to come to them. Promising her of a life she thinks she wants, and that of a life she truly desires hidden deep in her heart.

Her eyes flew open and she quickly set upright, and glance at Miu to see if she had disturbed her sleep. She sighed in relief when remembering that even an earthquake event wouldn't wake her sister from her sleep.

She shook her and smiled, at her sister's cute snoring. The more she stared at her sister, the more her repressed dark thoughts infiltrated her mind.

'Kill her~' They whispered.

"Shut it." She hushly reprimanded.

'Drink her blood~' They said.

"I said shut it." She growled, and her voice increased.

'Take everything from her, take everything that she has, it belongs to you, so take it~' They insisted.

"I said SHUT IT!!" She roared and this time they took heed, and quieted.

She glance at Miu and saw that she really was asleep. She wanted some fresh air, so she quietly got up from the mattress, making sure not to disturb Miu, then she went by the door, and slipped away into the cool night.

When she left Miu opened one of her eyes, and sat upright. She sighed. "This family is weird. We were supposed to be a normal peasant family of six, but..

Eldest brother was ambitious and he left our family without looking back.
