Back To School

Read my new novel - "Odyssey In The Shadow Realm".

The morning air carried a sense of anticipation as Ace stirred from his slumber.

"Ace!"

"Ace!!"

"Wake up!"

Confusion marked his face as he questioned,

"What's going on?"

...

The city, bathed in the moon's glow, revealed a tranquil scene. Cool spring breezes danced through the air and the sparse movement of cars added to the serene atmosphere.

In the midst of it all, a lone house stood prominently as it did in USA-only this was Japan.

"Honey, we've gotten something for you," Nichole announced with a beaming smile.

Curiosity peaked, Ace inquired, "What is it?"

"Don't worry, you'll get it at school," William chimed in from a distance.

"Okay, if that's what you say," Ace responded, settling back into a half-conscious state.

"No, get ready for school," Emma insisted.

"Okay, okay, I've heard," he replied, reluctantly dragging himself to the bathroom. The promise of a gift lingered in his mind as he prepared for the day, and with a mix of excitement and reluctance, Ace headed to school ahead of schedule.

When he arrived at the school, he was informed of the new device that he would receive. The entire students' bodies were filled with elation and joy upon hearing the news.

Soon, they took their seats in their respective classrooms, eagerly anticipating the arrival of the promised item.

As the teacher entered the classroom, he immediately noticed the high expectations of the students. After briefly smiling, he began to speak.

"Although your expectations may be lofty, I assure you that you will receive the device in due time."

The students gazed at the teacher with utmost seriousness, their expressions shifting as Ace watched everything unfold.

"Before we proceed, allow me to introduce a special realm that you may not be familiar with - the ethereal realm," the teacher spoke.

Ace's curiosity was piqued by the teacher's words, which seemed familiar until his memories were restored, and he thought to himself:

"Yes, the realm where I obtained that stone. I believe the voice referred to it as the ethereal realm."

"The ethereal realm is one of many realms, including the infinite realm and the beast realm. However, its purpose is the contrary to the former," the educator explained.

"In the ethereal realm, where the Antidemons reside, lies a serene abode for the gods who possess distinct powers in the world."

"It is noteworthy that these gods may possess stones, which serve as the embodiment of their powers. However, activating them is an arduous task, as some possess the stone but have been unable to utilize it," the educator expounded.

Upon hearing this, the students were aroused and one of them stood out to question the teacher,

"What are the powers that these stones hold?"

Although the teacher was unsure of the answer, he replied dubiously,

"I believe these stones hold powers that affect the fabric of being, but to be frank, I am not certain of their true capabilities."

"How can we obtain one of these stones?" the students inquired once more.

"You must be chosen by the particular god. This phenomenon is known as the Divine Calling. You cannot acquire it through your own volition," he responded.

...

Ace sat in silence, paying close attention to the teacher's words. The teacher's explanation aligned with all that had transpired before or during the time he had received the stone from the god and visited the ethereal realm.

His thoughts were in disarray, and he was filled with anxiety as he yearned to discover the true significance of the stone to fully harness its powers.

"Perhaps, like the zone, I may unlock it amid battle or a similar circumstance," he spoke, attempting to reassure himself that he would undoubtedly activate the stone and realize its full potential.
