Chapter 3: She is like an older sister

Sofia finally arrived at the destination, and she was late. She looked at her clothes and gave them a little shake, set her hair free as she looked around.

" It's okay even if you are late. Don't show that anxiety on your face... let's face everyone ", She murmured to herself and entered the restaurant.

Her senior has booked a small room in a restaurant for this fresher's meeting. He wanted to look admirably in front of his newly arrived juniors and couldn't afford a five-star restaurant or book a private room.

His only option was this, book a small room in the small 3-star restaurant and make everyone happy only for one day.

As she walked in, the first floor was full of customers and people were enjoying the food from this place. A smile appeared on Sofia's face upon seeing that and she got motivated.

She walked to the second floor, and in the corner, there was finally the room they had booked. Before going in she checked her face and makeup on the phone camera brought a sweet smile to her face and opened the door.

Everyone was enjoying themselves inside and a little tense up since it was their first gathering in university life. But as the door clicked open and they saw Sofia, they were baffled and conflicted...even though she was another fresher.

Brian saw her standing by the door with that sweet smile on her face, he immediately got up from his seat and rushed to her...he was getting worried about her all this time when she didn't pick up her phone.

" Sofia! I called you countless times, why didn't you pick them up? ", He whispered to her in a worried tone.

Brian had known Sofia for two years now, she is his junior and the one he should worry about the most. She may look okay and fine from the outside, but she gives him the most trouble with her weird personality.

Sofia on the other hand was quite shocked to hear that he called her countless times. She checked her phone immediately and realised that he did call her many times. But how come she heard no sound?

Maybe she was so frightened by the earlier event that she forgot about the call and heard no sound.

" Sorry! Senior Brian, I was actually caught up in some mess on my way here. In the end, I had to repeat the whole process. Please forgive me ", She apologized to him immediately and even made that cutesy face in front of him so that he could let her off the hook.

" Alright! Forget about all that and let's take a seat. Tell me what happened later on ", Brian smiled sweetly at her as he patted her head slightly and guided her towards the seat.

Everyone was shocked to see their crude senior talking in such a soft tone with Sofia. Yeah! Their first impression of brian was like this...they think he is a short temper person on base off how he acted earlier when one of the waiters served them food and forgot about the juice. Brian scolded him hard.

And this impression was much more impressive than what he showed them from the start. Even if he showed them his soft and cheerful side, they would only remember his crude side.

But then...when they saw him being so kind and soft to that girl, they just...couldn't digest it.

" Should I introduce you to them? ", He asked Sofia in front of everyone.

Sofia's other seniors just laughed at the situation as they were having fun looking at everyone's facial expressions.

" You should, Senior Brian ", Sofia chuckled slightly while looking at everyone's shook faces.

" Ahem...ahem. So, freshers, you all know us all by now, right? So now, let us introduce another member to you. This beautiful girl before you is your student community member. The sophomore Sofia. If you get into any problem in the future or need guidance, you can trouble her. And she will be happy to hear your complaints ".

Sofia is one of the members, who hears everyone's complaints and does what's needed. She is responsible and does everything within her reach to help her classmates and juniors.

As Brian introduced her, she raised and looked at everyone, gave them a sweet smile, and picked up an alcohol glass from the table to cheer.

" Fellow juniors, it's nice to meet you. And...forgive me for my lateness. I was stuck in a situation and I hardly escaped it. But anyway...thank you for coming here today. We...the students of Muri University, welcome you all here. Hope your days here go smoothly ".

Sofia welcomed everyone for entering such a prestigious university and raised her glass of drink.

Everyone was amazed at her unique speech and how well she spoke to them. She is beautiful but her speech made her charming.

She raised the glass to toast with everyone but looks like they are still holding back and are concerned...more so, they were holding back.

Seeing how reluctant they were, Sofia smiled even more and drank the glass of alcohol after looking at everyone. The moment that alcohol went into her throat, she felt the gush of hotness and bitterness at the same time. Her throat was set on fire and the fire then went into her stomach straight.

She looked at everyone. Of course, they are reluctant to drink. The alcohol they haven't touched before, suddenly someone forces them to drink it. Yeah! it's tempting, but sudden force never makes anyone ready.

After seeing this attitude of hers, they started to admire her even more. Seeing her, it felt like the girls were seeing an older sister in her, and the boys got an older sister in her. Yeah...for some she became more than an older sister.

" What are you doing? let them drink...", Brian didn't like it that she was drinking while everyone was just looking at her and not even touching the alcohol glasses.

" Let them be, Senior. They are still kids. If they don't want to, it's not good to force them. Once they feel comfortable, you don't even have to tell them to drink...they will do it on their own ".

Sofia was really like a kind older sister, she understood the freshers very well and was ready to guide them and protect them from any harm.

" Wow! My senior sister is kind and beautiful in heart. From now on, she is my role model ", Some freshers mutter to each other while there was a spark in their eyes.

The atmosphere inside right now was really good, better compared to what it was before she came. But her seniors were still looking towards the door, it was as if someone was still behind and yet to arrive.

" Senior Moon, what's wrong? You keep looking towards the entrance, is there something wrong? ".

Sofia became a little curious about seeing her seniors so concerned about something and how they were waiting for someone's arrival.

She couldn't hold herself back and ended up asking them what was wrong. All of them look at her and give her a blank stare. One of them finally spoke...

It was the Senior Moon.

" Junior! A fresher is still missing. I called him earlier but just like you, he didn't pick up the call. He should have arrived by now...but he is still not here ", Said Moon in his husky yet sweet voice.

It could be seen that he was overly concerned. It's a little rude to not show up at the gathering hosted by your seniors, it's equal to disrespecting your seniors. And that fresher was doing it right now.

" Senior Moon, I think... it's nothing to worry about. I am sure he is on the way. Just like how I was held in something, maybe he encountered the same situation. He will be here soon. By the way, what's his name? ", Sofia tried to share the burden with her senior and Moon felt good to hear that from her.

She is the youngest in the whole community but there is no one like her. She is sentimental, strong, wise, and kind. She is everything that a person might want in a good human being.

" His name...He is called Enzo. I called him several times but his phone is always busy. I don't know what he is doing ".

Moon shared the number with her and told her to give him a call herself. Cause maybe...he will pick up her call.

Sofia did as told, she called him. To her surprise, he was still busy...not picking up or maybe speaking to someone else on the phone.

" Let me give him a second chance ", Sofia muttered to herself and pressed the call button once again. She doesn't believe in one-time rejection.

She thought maybe he wouldn't pick up like every time, but then...he picked up the call and the door of the room opened at the same time.

" Hello ", Enzo's voice surrounded the whole room and everyone's attention fell on him.

" Alright senior, give him a call one last time ".
