Chapter 19: Shifts blame on her

Sofia pleaded softly, Rose placed a sweet kiss on her cheeks. There's no doubt that Rose is a delicate doll, even her kiss was beyond soft that it felt like a cloud touched Sofia's cheeks instead of those lips.

Rose immediately grabbed the food package and unpacked it immediately, exposing the box of hot and spicy noodles along with the package of sweet chocolate cookies.

" Sisso! I only asked for noodles. Why are there cookies too? ", Asked Rose as she handled the package of cookies gently in her palms and glanced over Sofia with that soft gaze in her eyes.

Sofia smiled even more brightly before she touched Rose's cheeks and gave her a light squeeze. " It's your reward. When you eat these spicy noodles, won't you want something sweet to go along with it? These cookies will give your taste bud an even more spice touch...Okay? ".

" Got it! By the way, Sis! I am sorry ".

Right at this moment, her tone changed completely. She was upset and feeling guilty about something which Sofia had no idea about.

" Why are you sorry? ", Sofia asked looking directly into her eyes.

What is this child apologizing for and why? What has she done this time that she needed to plead? Sofia thought a lot but nothing came to her mind. In the end, she left her mind to rest and looked at Rose directly...

" I...I wanna apologize for yesterday. I...I heard from Mike that you...you were scolded because of me. I...I didn't mean to create any trouble for you. I just wanted to have some fresh air and went outside secretly. It was my fault ".

Rose clasped her hands together as she prayed in her mind and tried to not look Sofia in the eyes...It was clear that she was kind of scared.

" Oh! But I forgot about it long ago...you don't have to apologize. It's not like you yourself complained about me to them...so it's okay. Don't think too much ".

It was in the past and she has no intention to drag this matter any further. It would be better for both parties to keep away from it.

Since Sofia had delivered the food, it was time for her to return back to the university as staying here any further would be dangerous for her.

" Umm! Little sweety, you...have your food now. I have to go back ".

Said Sofia and moved her body from the soft bed and stood before her. Rose's face turned grim again and Sofia was confused once again as to why this girl kept making these sad faces.

" Can't you stay with me for a little while? I always miss you and want you to be with me. Please don't go ".

Sofia has no idea what goes into this little girl's mind. It's easy to read her but sometimes it just becomes very hard to see through her. It's clear to everyone in the house that they don't like her. But why does Rose always stop her?

Within no time, she clasped into Sofia's thigh and was unwilling to let go.

" Girl! Let go...I delivered your food already. I have to go back now...".

" Sis! It's okay if you don't want to stay with me in the same room since mom and dad will find fault with you. But...you can go to your room and wait there. Please have dinner with us tonight...please ".

Rose is indeed weak, but when it comes to hugging someone's thigh tightly, you have to find her....because she is indeed the right person for this task.

" Alright ", Sofia had no choice but to give up in front of her. Rose is the type of person who likes to have dinner with her whole family and not a single person should be missing from this only gathering, or else she feels upset.

" I understand! Now let go of me. You eat and I am going to my room. If you miss me, just come looking for me in my room. Let go now...you are seriously a clingy Koala ".

" Hehe! Alright sister ".

Rose finally loosed her hand gripped from her thigh and separated immediately.

After that Sofia went to her room to have some alone time. As expected...there was no change in her room, everything was as she had left it before. except for her, no one comes to her room or touches a single thing.

" They can make my profile as an eldest daughter of Allard and make me look like the luckiest person on the earth. But can't tell the maid to clean my room in my absence. If you all really want me to look perfect, make it perfect in everyone's eyes, why leave the staff to make fun of me...".

She walked to the corridor, and opened the large side window with a gush, literally the whole room filled with fresh air as the leaves started flowing in her room.

They make her look perfect in everyone's eyes, to the point others feel envious of her. But when it comes to the treatment from them...they treat her like shit.

She has no expectations from them, it's just that she wants them to leave her alone and remove her from the family tree.

It was nice to smell the evening air, she felt good...the air brushing through her body and the chills going down her spine, it was a refreshing feeling.

After a while, she went to her bed and dumped her body on the average soft mattress. Unlike everyone, she is not privileged and always has to beg them when needs something.

She was barely able to close her eyes when suddenly loud noises started ringing in her ears. It was an anxious type of sound and everyone seemed to be hyper about something.

" Call the doctor, hurry up ".

" My daughter! Why did her health degrade suddenly? ".

" Call for the doctor, hurry up ".

Sofia was just submerged in sleep, she could hear noises and wanted to wake up immediately and open her eyes. But her mind refused to...it wasn't letting her open her eyes and kept those lashes shut tight.

After a while, someone threw cold water at her, she woke up startled and looked around. Her whole body.. drenched in cold water which was seemingly taken out from the fridge. Her body started shaking...it was horrible.

" How can you treat your younger sister so badly? Can't you see how weak she is? ".

It was her mom who started scolding her and was jabbing her fingers onto Sofia's forehead....she wasn't gentle but harsh...very harsh.

" Are you conscious of what you have done? ".

Everyone...her father, big brother, and even younger brother, all were looking at her as if she was some hideous monster or disgusting shit, there was no mercy in their eyes for her, only disgust could be seen.

Sofia hugged herself tightly and looked at everyone. So many questions were there on her face, she wants to ask everything but dare not to.

" Rose...what happened to her? ".

Just like them...she was worried too. It's just that, some so many people care for Rose that her care gets hurried in front of their affection.

Her mother looked at her with disgust, and her hand clenched.

" What did you give her to eat? ".

This question hit Sofia hard, she was stunned when they asked her about what she brought. " Spicy noodles....I brought her Spicy noodles ".

The moment she answered that question, a slap landed on her cheek. Sofia was shocked this time around, it was unexpected. She dared not to look in the eyes for a little while. She was struggling to understand what has happened.

" Spicy noodles? Despite knowing what her condition is and that she can't have junk food and spicy food at that, you brought her all that poison? What a terrible elder sister you are...you are a shame ".

As if the first question was not enough to shock her, here came the another shocking fact. Sofia had no idea what to feel right now. Rose can't eat spicy food? Didn't Rose confess that she can eat anything? And that the doctor has permitted her?

Sofia was in a state where she could hear nothing what her mom was speaking right now, all she could hear was the call conversation between Rose and her.

It was just now that she realized it, Rose lied. Doctor never told her to eat junk food, it was her who said it...she wanted to eat and lies to Sofia.

Sofia knows....Rose is weak and she needs more care. She lied...no one will blame her. But Sofia...she is different. Even if she has no fault, no one will listen to her and will only punish her.

" Sofia! Enough is enough. Just this morning I told you to care for her and you tried to kill her? Shame on you....you are the worst sister ever ".
