Flareon 'evolved'!!?

Hearing her words, Flare was really touched. He wanted to say a few words to console her and also say that he was not really angry at her.

But he knew that they couldn't understand his words even if he shouted those words at them.

Hence he could do nothing but climb over her body and use his little pink tongue to lick over her face.

Though it looked like he licked her face, he actually used his tongue to clean her tears away from her cheeks.

His actions were very clear that he was telling them he was not angry at her at all.

At his small and simple action, Yao Xinyu's heart melted like a mass of puddle and she took him back into her hands and planted a kiss over his head.

Hao Yu too smiled and he imitated his mother's actions to plant another kiss on his head.

But as soon as he kissed, Flare used his small fist to shove him away, showing his disgust towards a kiss from another 'man'.

Hao Yu, however, did not feel disheartened by this blatant rejection towards his kiss. Instead he found it funny to tease Flare.

Hence he took Flare into his hands from his mother's and started planting many kisses all over his small face and body.

Flare screeched and screamed while trying his best to avoid the attack from this human cannon.

Hao Yu and Flare rolled around like that for a while and the room was filled with the noises of a raccoon's chitters and a kid's laughter. This scene made both the parent's smile.

Just a few minutes ago, this room was filled with so much guilt and wails. Now it was reversed in an instant with all the happiness and laughter.

Everything was just with the arrival of Flare.

After rolling around for a while, Hao Yu grabbed onto Flare and raised him high in the air before he looked at him.

Flare looked back at Hao Yu and blinked his eyes a couple of times in confusion.

Hao Yu's eyes widened as if he suddenly noticed something very important and was about to speak before they heard a child's cry from the inside.

Flare turned his head away and finally got out of Hao Yu's tight grip before he ran away from his arms towards the kid's room.

He had always been the first one to take care of their little sister after all.

As soon as Flare ran away, Hao Yu looked at his parents and spoke seriously, "Mom, Dad, did you notice something different in Flareon?"

The adults looked at Hao Yu and noticed a huge amount of excitement in the kid's expression, "What do you want us to notice?"

Actually, being the adults that had taken care of the kit for so long, they had already noticed a few changes in him. But they did not know what change the kid had noticed that gave him such an amount of excitement.

"Flareon evolved!!!" Hao Yu shouted excitedly.

"..."

"..."

Both the adults did not understand the words of their son at all. What did he mean by Flare evolved?

Is this another one of the kids' jargon that they couldn't understand?

The husband and wife duo looked at each other to ask if the other person knew what their son meant? The reply was a shake of head from each other.

"What do you mean, Hao Yu?" They asked their eldest son in unison.

"He is changed. Didn't you notice? His fur is now shinier and smoother than before. Most of all, his eyes. They are no longer black like how they used to be. Now they are green. He is now like a whole new version of pokemon. Just like he was evolved," He continued squeaking more words about his kids show's jargon which the parents did not understand nor did they care anymore about them.

Now all they were thinking about was the changes that they had noticed and also the changes that Hao Yu had told them about Flare.

Yao Xinyu looked at her son and spoke softly, "Hao Yu, you know that he is still our Flare, right?"

Hao Yu looked at her seriously and nodded his head, "How can I not know that, Mom? Even if he evolved, he is still our own Flareon."

The parents couldn't help but smile at their eldest son's mature words.

Yao Xinyu nodded her head in satisfaction, "Yes, no matter what happened, he is still your Flareon. He will still be your little brother. So don't treat him differently, alright?"

In Hao Yu's small mind, he did not have many thoughts. All he understood was that his 'pokemon' was 'evolved'. And this is something to get excited about. This is something worth celebration.

Hence he did not understand why his mother was being careful and was asking him to treat Flare the same as before. It is not like he was about to treat him any differently just because he was evolved, right?
