Arrival of neighbors

Around two months later, Yao Xinyu gave birth to a cute little daughter and was named Hao Ran.

She was cute and became the center of attention in the entire family. The doting father, loving mother, a brother that follows his dad in doting on her equally and another little brother in the form of a small raccoon pet that too took care of her from time to time.

She became the apple of the eye and there were very few times when she had to cry with everyone around her.

Even if she were to cry at times, Flare would use his feathery fur to tickle her and in an instant her tears would turn into pearls of laughter.

There was also never a day that was boring in this lively home.

"Hao Yu, look after your sister for a while. I should look at the food," Yao Xinyu called for her four year old son to look after her one month old daughter and went to the kitchen.

Hao Yu took his little sister into his arms and held onto her milk bottle while she blinked her eyes that resembled black grapes looking at her brother as she continued sucking onto her food.

Everything looked peaceful as Flare sat on the side and looked at his human siblings. He wished the days would continue being the same. Peaceful, harmless and uneventful.

But of course, if one doesn't want something to happen, the fate would mostly make it happen just to have fun while creating troubles.

The peaceful environment suddenly collapsed with the sound of a huge horn from the outside. Flare was yet to know what was about to come as he lazily moved his head away from the incoming sound.

Though the sound did not bring any fluctuations in Flare, Hao Yu was different. He is just a four year old kid who gets easily excited at everything he sees.

In an instant he left his sister and got up from his place to run outside to check on what was happening there.

In his excitement he even forgot that he was feeding his sister and once he got up, her milk bottle was about to fall out of her lips to the ground.

Luckily for her, Flare got up and jumped in swift motion to hold the bottle in place.

He sighed, looking at the back of his running brother. He laid down making his back support the bottle in Hao Ran's mouth perfectly while his tail lightly held onto her head.

When Yao Xinyu came back from the kitchen, she did not see her son taking care of her daughter like she had left them earlier. Instead it was the little raccoon that was taking care of and feeding the baby.

Yao Xinyu couldn't help but sigh as she walked forwards to take the baby into her arms. This is nothing new in the family and she was already used to such occurrences for so long.

Flare is always the most diligent kid compared to Hao Yu, especially when it comes to taking care of their sister.

She smiled and used her fingers to caress Flare's head, "Did Hao Yu leave your sister alone again? Good job Flare. You are a good brother."

She did not blame Hao Yu either. After all, though he was the 'eldest brother' among the three kids, he is still nothing but just a four year old little kid.

How could she blame him? But she should compliment Flare for his efforts too. He was always dependable though he was not a human like them.

She always felt that the little raccoon was very interesting. Unlike any other animal pets, he would be able to understand everything that they spoke to him. Though the tasks were difficult, he would always take upon himself to look after the family by many means, surprising them each and every time.

Flare closed his eyes and enjoyed her caresses before placing his head on her knee coquettishly.

He would behave this way only with her and no one else. In front of everyone else, Flare would behave calm and collected while giving off lazy vibes.

Yao Xinyu smiled and continued giving him caresses before the little typhoon, Hao Yu, came towards them running and shouting, "Mommy, Aunt Estella is here. They were unloading their luggage from the truck into our neighboring house."

As soon as the words 'aunt Estella' came out of Hao Yu's lips, the happily closed eyes of Flare shot open in bewilderment.

"Why is she here?" he shouted out loud. He then looked at Hao Yu and shouted, "And why are you so excited about her coming here?"

But all his family could hear was a round of angry growls in a cute and baby voice of his.

"Is Flare happy to see his aunt Estella too?" Yao Xinyu asked him.

"..." Flare was dumbfounded at this weird conjecture they got from his words, "I am not."
