Making Enemies

-2000HP

Even Chen was shocked by the damage the attack caused as what was left of the beast's HP got instantly deducted.

The beast who was initially holding onto a large black Broadaxe fell to the ground and began to turn into light particles.

<Player Has Killed A Level 16 Berserk Devil Fallo>

<+ 40,000 EXP>

The first thing Chen picked up was its Broadaxe since he had seen what the weapon was capable of.

Thrrriihhhh~

Electric charges could be seen circulating around the blade area of the broadaxe. Whenever the creature attacked players earlier, it would leap into the air with its muscular legs and slam its broadaxe onto the ground upon landing.

The moment the blade collided with the ground, an electric charge would surge forth slamming into the players within a particular proximity.

Chen used his previous tactics and hid till the creature was at the jaws of death before making a move.

<Player Has Acquired An Iron Charge Devil Axe>

This Axe was obviously a weapon that could only be equipped by a Berserker Class Player. It was so large and heavy, that it was almost the size of a full-grown adult.

Chen had no plans of making use of it especially when it was only privy to Berserker Class players so the thought that instantly came to mind was to sell this.

Chen proceeded to pick up the loot he could before escaping from there. He was unable to pick up everything since the players were right behind him.

The last thing he wanted right now was to be ambushed by players because if he died, he would end up losing a level and some of the items he had acquired so far.

He knew he hadn't acquired much but still, he didn't want to lose the little he had.

-

"That's an iron graded Berserker weapon with an electrifying effect..." Chen said as he checked out the weapon after arriving at a secluded area.

So far Chen only had Uncommon, Common and Bronze graded items.

This was the first time he was getting an Iron graded item and he only started playing this game a couple of days ago.

There was still a long line of grades before he got any item close to legendary or mythic but Chen still felt a little gratified about his progress so far.

What Chen didn't know at the moment as he had the hidden luck attribute that helped in boosting the loot that drops from beasts after death.

It wasn't really a hidden attribute but Chen had no idea he had already unlocked it from the moment he got to level 10. His luck attribute already had a couple of points and that was working out well for him.

The Berserk Devil Fallo he had just killed had a 1 in a 10,000 chance of dropping its Iron weapon. It wasn't a very common beast but it wasn't uncommon either so players occasionally ran into it in that area.

This meant, that for every ten thousand times the Berserk Devil Fallo died, there was only a single chance of its Iron weapon dropping as loot.

Chen had managed to get the weapon regardless of this and an Iron weapon despite not being very high graded could still be sold for a good price.

'Let me see if I can bring this into the real world,' Chen thought as he held onto the weapon.

"Retrieve item to reality," He voiced out.

<Unable To Retrieve Item To Reality>

sigh~

Chen let out a low sigh of disappointment as he discovered this item was not retrievable to reality. He was sure he could sell it for a better price in real life than in the game. Chen didn't dwell on this for too long and proceeded to keep the weapon for now.

He decided he would find a way to sell it within the game later. For now, he still wanted to grind more so he could level up as quickly as possible.

He knew he couldn't always use the tactic of luring beasts away forever as it was bound to fail at some point but he decided to stick to it for now.

'I still have time,' Chen said internally as he headed out once more.

---

About fifteen hours later, Chen found himself getting chased by a bunch of angry players.

-"Get him!"

-"He stole all the loot!"

-"Don't let him get away, cast a long range spell!"

-"I'm casting Death Storm!"

-"Fireball!!!"

These players yelled out in dissatisfaction while some of them cast long range spells while chasing after him.

'Run! Run! Run! Run! Run!' Chen had a look of urgency as he ran as fast as his legs could carry him.

Chen had bumped into a party of players after getting away with lots of his last strikes endeavours.

The issue this time was, that this was a united party grinding together so the instant Chen managed to steal their kill, they banded together to go after him without any form of internal conflict.

Unlike the other situations where the players were not on a united front and still attacked each other while trying to chase down the beast and Chen, this group came after him instantly.

Chen was finding it hard to escape and this time he only managed to take one loot out of the many loots this beast dropped after he killed it yet they were still chasing after him crazily.

"I should have just let this one slide," Chen muttered underneath his breath as he waited for Dash to finish its cooldown mode.

He was lucky he had the Assassin Class or they would have caught him by now. Assassins naturally had better speed than other players and this party didn't have anyone using the Assassin Class.

Chen suddenly sensed a massive amount of Mana gathering in the air from behind. Without being told, he knew someone was activating a large scale magic attack.

'Oh shiit,' Chen wished he had somewhere he could take cover but all that could be seen in this area were tall grasses.

He would still have to run for quite a distance before he could sight any area that could provide cover.

<Dash Cooldown: 5 Seconds>

<Dash Cooldown: 4 Seconds>

While Dash cooldown was coming to an end a dark cloud had appeared over Chen and it was brimming with lightning.

Chen felt he couldn't outrun this but he still tried his best.

Thrrrrihhhhhh! Thrrriiihhh!~

Lighting arcs began swimming within the dark clouds and in the next instant, a lightning bolt came crashing down from above.

<Dash Cooldown: 0 Seconds>

<Player Has Activated Dash>

At the same instant the lightning bolt came crashing down, Chen reappeared twelve paces ahead of his initial location.

Thriihh! Bang!

It slammed into the ground behind him, causing a cloud of debris to scatter across the place.

-"Unbelievable, he dodged it!"

The Player who used this attack voiced out after noticing the lightning only hit the ground.

-"He must be an Assassin, they're the only ones nimble enough to perform such a feat,"

Another one of the party members voiced out.

-"Did you take note of his name?"

-"It's CR5..."

-"Wherever we find that Player again, we must make sure to kill him and take all of his loot,"

The party of players made this unanimous decision after the debris cleared and Chen was nowhere to be found.

-----------

Minutes later Chen arrived back in the city area and found a secluded spot to check out the loot he had acquired so far.

This part of the city was a green zone so players could not attack other players or there would be penalties. In the meantime he was safe.
