Chapter 25 - Time skip

"Minor sect competition is the grand competition between sects of this region. In this competition, sects bet their spiritual stone mines." Xiao Wei calmly explained. "The battle is on the small world created by the will of this world. The bets aren't fake, but the will of the world creates a contract."

Her face turned a little sad. "We have a total of 20 mines in the past, but we have lost 10 of them in the last 10 years of minor sect competition." The way she said it, it felt like she had been here for 10 years.

"Are you-" Before he could speak, Xiao Wei placed her small fingers at his lips. "I am the daughter of the previous sect leader." Her face was a little sad. "He died... 7 years ago." Her face nearly held her tears.

The arrow looked dangerous as it could spread fire in the blink of an eye. Liu Xin used a thunder barrier to create a small barrier around his body.

The arrow hit the barrier spreading the fire and shattering the barrier.

However, Liu Xin escaped from there. He shot qi needles.

The small needles made up of qi hit Leng Fei. But her eyes were sharp as she shot an arrow which turned into a circular shield, blocking the path of the needles.

She jumped back and threw her bow at Liu Xin.

The bow turned bigger and tried to wrap Liu Xin. Liu Xin smiled as he disappeared from there.

He appeared behind the bow and Leng Fei appeared before him, kicking his stomach.

Liu Xin had already circulated his skin-hardening technique and took the kick. He grabbed her legs and felt her thighs before throwing her back.

Leng Fei landed graciously and grabbed the bow that flew at her.

She shot the same arrow that she used in the arena that suppressed everyone. Liu Xin endured the suppression.

The arrow hit him, but he used his technique 'Supreme Sword Aura!' The sword emitted a sharp aura, that collided with the big glowing arrow.

A big explosion took place, but Liu Xin teleported in front of Leng Fei. Leng Fei predicted that and threw a punch.

Her punch was greater in strength as she had used 'Hard Punch Destruction'. The punch perfectly landed on Liu Xin, but like before he had two layers of the barrier.

Even when they shattered, he grabbed her hands and pulled her closer, hugging her waist.

"I won." He said.

"I lost." She sighed.

The loss wasn't because he hugged her. As he hugged her, one hand was on her waist, and another on her neck. The hand around her neck is holding a needle.

The scenario was that the needle was poisoned, so she died. That was the reason for her defeat.

"You have grown." She said with a small smile. "You have grown the courage to hug me like that." Her smile was like that of the devil.

Liu Xin looked at her and chuckled. He forcefully pulled her and hugged her again. "I can hug you again."

His hands felt her slender waist. Leng Fei pushed him, a small blush appearing on her cheeks. She coughed and left the area. "Don't take advantage of me...you pervert!" Her face was a little flushed.

Liu Xin smiled gently.

"That was a good fight. Next one with me!" Xiao Wei shouted with joy as she took out her sword.

"Then let's place a bet." Liu Xin suggested.

Xiao Wei eyes lit up. "Yeah! If I win, I will kiss you and if you win, you will kiss me." She said, nodding.

Liu Xin was speechless but he smiled at her innocence. He agreed and both of them faced each other on the ground.

"Here I come!" She announced as she rushed at Liu Xin.

Clang! Clink!

The two swords collided. Both of them were equal in strength.

Liu Xin had already reached the late stage of the formation-building realm.

But even with that strength, he only match equally with Xiao Wei, who was at the mid-stage of the foundation-building realm.

"Illusion Strike!" She chanted. Her blade glowed.

One blade shot toward Liu Xin. Liu Xin tried blocking it, but the sword was fake.

Another sword sneak attack him, but Liu Xin already predicted that and dodged it.

The sword returned toward Xiao Wei. She teleported beside him and punched him using her technique.

Liu Xin grabbed her fist slightly pushed back and pulled her into his arms before throwing her to the ground.

Xiao Wei landed perfectly and charged at Liu Xin. This time her sword wiggled like a worm.

Liu Xin used a fiery sword strike and his sword emitted a hot aura.

The wobbly sword collided with the hot sword, but no sound of metal colliding resonated.

Instead, the wobbly sword wrapped the hot sword and tried to attack Liu Xin like a snake.

Liu Xin created a barrier around his face and the sword collided with it, forced to go back.

Xiao Wei instantly kicked Liu Xin as he was blocking the wobbly sword. Liu Xin also used his legs to block her kick and loosen his grip on his sword.

The sword fell and his hand grabbed her hand, again pulling her. The sudden act made her lose her grip on her sword. Her hands were behind Liu Xin's back.

Liu Xin hugged and whispered in her ears. "You lost." His hands had a small needle that poked her neck.

This trick was effective against females. Even after losing, Xiao Wei didn't let Liu Xin go. She wrapped her hands behind his back and rubbed her cheeks at his stomach.

"Kiss me." She looked up with her beautiful eyes. She closed her eyes waiting for the kiss.

'What is she thinking?' Liu Xin lightly hit her head and kissed her cheeks.

"A kiss on the lips should be from your lover, not from your brother." He scolded and ruffled her hair.

"Let's go, I am hungry."

"Ok, I will make lunch." Xiao Wei smiled and held his hands.

'I want you to be the one to kiss me, brother.' She thought as she peeked at him. Her cheeks dyed red, and her heart pounced. She felt too embarrassed.
