11. Love Of His Parents

When Yu Ming and the other elders arrived where the battle took place, they were so shocked that they started to tremble.

Numerous dead bodies of the beast didn't make them tremble actually; it was Universe who was currently lying on the ground in his own pool of blood.

Not a single blade of grass was without blood. From the previously green grass, it's now red grass.

Yu Ming just couldn't believe what he was seeing. His legs were trembling, he didn't want to step forward. He was afraid that the tinge of hope in his heart would be lost.

Seeing this one of the elders swallow his saliva and walk in front of Universe, he was also praying, praying that Universe would be fine.

When he reached beside Universe, he checked the pulse with his trembling hands, then let out a sigh of relief after.

"Patriarch, young master is alive. Just unconscious because of too much blood loss."

As for the elders behind, they were still surprised by the scene they saw.

"From the looks of things, young master did it alone. All the beasts have sword marks in them. There is no other explanation for this."

All the other elders nodded. While Yu Ming left, they stayed here to bring back all the carcasses. All the beasts are in the energy-gathering stage, and they would be quite valuable in Spring City.

After arriving home, Yu Ming hurriedly called the only tier 1 alchemist in the city, whose name is Liang Sen.

And he is the sole in charge of the Alchemist Association branch in this city with a couple of disciples under him.

When he arrived at the place Universe was kept, the alchemist's first reaction was utter disbelief. 'How is he still alive?' Liang Sen thought.

And beside Universe stood a middle-aged woman who was crying her heart out. She is not a man who could control their feelings, and as a mother, she couldn't stop herself from crying.

She never saw him like this before. And from the guards, she knew what transpired in the forest.

Even though she felt proud of her son's action, this also made her worry about her son's future.

While giving a couple of pills, the alchemist left the Yu clan. And only Yu Ming, Gu Xuner, and some elders remained in the room.

But after a while, they also left to do their work, leaving Yu Ming and Gu Xuner behind. Just as the last one left.

Gu Xuner hugged Yu Ming and started to cry again. If something would have happened, what would they do? Just thinking about it made them tremble.

The next morning, Universe slowly opened his eyes, while he felt like it was about to split apart from the pain.

Slowly getting up from the bed, Universe's first thought was 'I survived huh... It must be father who brought me back.'

Suddenly thinking of something, Universe asked.

"Alfa, what happened after I was unconscious?"

Then a line of text appeared on the screen. "Sorry, I also don't know what happened. I am as clueless as you."

Seeing this, Universe confirmed one thing, Alfa solely has to rely on himself for five senses like hearing, touch, smell, visual, and taste.

If I am out of commission, then Alfa is useless.

Suddenly, Alfa said something.

"It's not that easy, currently I am just a projection of my real self. Once I come out of your consciousness, then it's a different matter. Then I can do things that would be impossible for any normal cultivators."

Universe just nodded, and with time, everything will be clear.

Suddenly thinking of his parents, Universe got ready and went outside, where his mother stood silently, watching the garden.

Standing behind her, Universe slowly called out.

"Mother."

Hugging her son tightly, she just cried. Universe didn't console her or anything. He just silently promised to himself.

"Only this time mother you can cry as much as you want, but I will never allow you to cry again." Thinking this, he clenched his hand into a fist. His knuckles became white from the sheer force of it.

After quite a while, his mother stopped crying and brought Universe to her place where Yu Ming was currently in deep thought.

Hearing the voice, he lifted his head, seeing it's Universe. He stood up suddenly and hugged his son.

He didn't cry, no, but the emotions he felt, Universe could directly understand it. 'This time I really made them worry huh...' Universe smiled wryly.

After separating from his son, Yu Ming asked.

"Son, are you alright? Do you feel any discomfort anywhere?"

"No father, somehow I feel better than fine. Even though I am still at the peak of body tempering stage, but I somehow feel stronger than before."

Hearing this, his father thought about the battle his son went through. So maybe he surpassed his limits.

But they didn't know a magical fruit inside his body doing something magical. Even Alfa wasn't able to notice. But it will take some time to be refined and bring the benefit to Universe.

Outside the Yu clan, in a dirty robe stood a person, he just looked at Yu clan from the distance without being noticed.

'I wonder how much joy you could bring me, Universe.' That person thought to himself.
