the rainbow herb
the five elements sect was one of the three most powerful sects on this manav continent . ( manav means human in hindi language ) the other two sects were called sword sect and ice maiden sect . these 3 sects were the ones that had the most number of disciples except the ice maiden sect which was consisted elite ladies . adam wanted to join the five elements sect because he could easily get resources in his hands . here the concentration of spiritual energy was abundant in the atmosphere but adam couldn't risk his luck everytime to battle powerful beasts for cultivation resources . so the sect where he would get resources easily just by completing missions casually was the best choice for him now . it would be beneficial to owe the grand elder a favour now .
adam explained the locations of rainbow herb but not in detail as he was expecting for grand elder mors to request him to accompany them inside the forest . well adam was sure that they would tell him to accompany them as they were desperate now but just in case .
as expected mors finally spoke . " hmm.. young man I can tell that you are telling the truth but the location is a bit vague . so can you be our guide ? dont worry I will make sure to keep you safe . " he knew that adam was not lying from the flow of qi inside Adam's body . it was an easy task to discern whether Adam was lying or not with his powerful divine sense .
adam put on an expression like he was contemplating something and finally said . " I can be your guide and will make sure that you find the rainbow herb . I just want some things in exchange . "
" oh ? what's your price ? tell me honestly ." mors was intrigued as he didnt expect adam to get straight to the point . he was surprised with the composure of young man who was capable of thinking straight in his presence . well of course adam was in the business mode now so he only looked at mors as he was a rich client .
" I want a few sets of herbs and a little spiritual water. this is the list of the herbs .." adam handed the list of herbs that adam was going to buy after reaching the foundation realm .

mors looked through the list and was puzzled " yound adam, are you sure you only want these common resources ? " he couldn't help but blurt his thoughts out loud .
" yes sir ! I desperately need these herbs . please dont ask the reason . " adam didnt want anyone to know about his knowledge and he was confident that mors couldn't imagine that these common herbs were the ingredients for the long lost pill recipe of restoration pill . he just needed a few sets just in case that adam didnt successfully concote the pill the first time as even though he had the knowledge and experience but he hadn't concocted a pill ever before . he just needed one pill of didnt matter which quality as system could duplicate it and produce the best quality pills anytime . the best thing about this system was that it only needed 100 SP to duplicate any item a single time regardless of the item's value and herbs that had been duplicated by system once can be duplicated infinitely for only 10 SP each . so adam who had 8000 SP with him was rich now .
mors could see that adam was sincere so he just tossed a storage ring at him and adam caught it with instinct. I will also recommend you for the position of an inner disciple of our sect . of course if you want it though ." at the end of his sentence mors smiled as he really wanted this young man who was talented and sincere to join his sect .
adam didnt think for a second and accepted the favour . he stood up and gave mors a small bow . this was the custom for a sincere thanks in the cultivation world . after that adam smiled and started to guide them outside the village . when they reached the forests entrance adam explained that they would be traveling towards the core region of the inner forest with a serious tone as he knew that all the monsters there were powerful. but mors just waved his hand slightly and three of them started to float in the air . adam really enjoyed the feeling of flying . he was surprised even though he knew that cultivators of ascension realm could control space and flying was easy for them .
then adam maintained a poker face the whole journey but he was nervous when watching the powerful beasts that avoided them and made way . this was their instinct as they could feel the difference of strenght from old man mors . but still adam was a scared as he saw the powerful beasts in real . he couldn't be blamed as he knew about them from the knowledge he gained from basic guidebook and all of them were regarded as threats in it .
the journey was smooth and fast as they reached the vicinity and saw the herb that was giving off rainbow colour light from afar . adam had completely gotten over the fear he felt as he was grinning now because he had harvested many rare herbs on the way . mors didnt stop him as he could see the sparkling eyes of adam when he saw the herbs .
suddenly mors moved his hand and shaped it like a claw . then a huge halo of a claw more than 50 meters wide and 20m long formed . adam didnt even have time to ask the reason from mors as just a second later he saw a more than 100 m long snake at his left side in a distance . its body was firmly in the right grasp of the huge claw and it was struggling to get free .
" hmphf! this wailing sound is annoying " mors commented and a light shout of his finger . it pierced the huge head of the snake and the cries stopped . the claw disintegrated into particles and the long reptile body dropped heavily on the ground . adam was totally speechless at the display of power and watched Smith storing the huge snake body inside a storage . Adam's mind was filled with one thought right now as he was daydreaming about him slaying the snake in Mors' place . he successfully slayed the snake inside his dream and snapped out of it . his face instantly returned to the poker face which showed no particular emotion besides a small smile .
mors and smith acted like slaying the beasts that powerful was a common matter and started advancing towards the rainbow herb . both their bodies were covered with a faint armor or origin energy as mors was protecting both their bodies from the pollen of the flower which was more poisonous than the venom of the illusion snake who didnt even have the chance to use it . mors carefully dug put the flower and a meter deep pit remained . so like this Adam's little adventure was successful and the return journey to his house was just seconds long . mors just open a space crack and 3 of them traveled through the turbulent space in the void. mors was flying slowly and smith and adam were being carried by him . he skillfully avoided the scary tornadoes that filled the space and traveled the short clear path . while smith and adam were covered with a barrier of Mors' origin energy and just wiping their cold sweet while watching the turbulent waves that could obliterate them in an instant ....
